He had many tattoos and couldn't have been older than 19 but he was polite and kind to her. I was so proud of him you would have thought he was my son. It’s in the basement of a building along 14th Street NW filled with products like sake, fish sauce, pottery, and other items from Asia.The back has a sushi and rice bowl counter. Nearby is a grab-n-go area with pad Thai, curries, and more. The chicken red curry is the best I’ve had in the city”

I'm actually glad they are in a different location given all of the gentrification in what used to be the Florida Ave. Wholesale Market. However I am saddened for the businesses that were priced out/pushed out to make way for high priced restaurants, apartments & retail. It destroyed the authenticity of the area.”

“Cute neighborhood haunt. The upstairs was pretty cozy. Seating left something to be desired but the windows and the fireplace were certainly a nice touch.Coffee was great, staff was nice and attentive.Outside would probably be lovely in the spring and fall. They do have a heated section on the side for outdoor seating where you can bring your dogs.Parking on the streets can be hit or miss so I do feel like if you're looking for the perfect "DC" coffee spot to write or read this could be it.”

“The staff is polite and friendly. They have good varieties of African food and produce but the store is messy and disorganized. Things are kinda all over the place and it's been like that for the numerous times I've dropped in to buy food.Last time I stopped by to buy some African groceries, I noticed they don't sell the meatpies and fish roll they used to sell before which was a bummer for me because they're delicious. Hope they can bring those back.Overall, the store is good, they have nice staff and good African products.”

“Stumbled in here looking for dinner from the hot bar after opting against paying $20 for a sandwich at a nearby vegan restaurant. Normally, I'd consider WF's prepared food options pricey, but even they aren't as bad as that other place. I ended up filling a box with Indian korma, rice and beans and pasta salad plus a fresh brewed tea and slice of cake that all tallied about 20 bucks. Glad they always have vegetarian-friendly options available.”

I will add images later as I was in a time crunch, but the store has the new car smell, lol. This is the location of Whole Foods Market that you must experience for yourself, as I have never met a more friendly& helpful team and it truly does allow patrons to truly leisurely shop and yes socialize with other neighborhood inhabitants. Calling All chefs or Home cooks, do yourself a favor and walk into the produce department and marvel in the freshest quality, its updated frequently, and I’m confident that if you found something out of sorts it would be addressed immediately and without incident.
