We were planning and organizing a material order for an eight foot high shadow box privacy fence. I went to the local Lowes to try to obtain the 560 1 x 6 pickets needed, but they were unable to get them even though there was stock at a Lowes Virginia store. J C at Dyson understood what I was looking for and suggested a 1x 6 pressure treated product that fit the bill and at a very fair price. He delivered as promised. This is a fine locally owned business that will earn your support.

Dyson's is an awesome store! They have a great selection. I can almost always find what I want here. And I comparison shop with the big box stores, and Dyson's is very competitive. Several times the prices there have actually been cheaper than Amazon. Also, the customer service is far better than other stores. Love this store

I recently moved from Piney Point to Mechanicsville so Dyson is no longer a convenient drive for me, but felt it was worth still posting a review on this company even though I haven't been there for several months now. It's always a breath of fresh air coming here versus Lowe's, ACE, True Value, etc. The prices are competitive, the staff is helpful, very knowledgeable and friendly, and for the building not being very large (in contrast to the chain stores) they have a great variety of hardware, tools, and plenty of other items there. They work out fair pricing when buying multiples of things pretty often. Miss being close by, and now I have to drive up to ACE in Charlotte Hall and be hounded by employees and pay and arm and a leg for everything haha. Dyson is a really great local business, and the existing reviews show this already... I'm just here to share my own experience and thoughts. :)

We recently moved to MD and was told about this business when in immediate need of a plumbing piece. The workers here are extremely knowledgeable and really nice. I purchased the plumbing part and it worked until the pressure was too much, a few hours after leaving the store. I had to return to the store later on in the day to pick up a few more of these parts and called the store on the way. I told them I wasn’t going to make it there in time before they closed for the day, arriving about 10 minutes after closing time. They said they would wait for me. I can’t say enough great things about this store. The replacement parts worked and tonight we have running water. They saved the day and I will always be thankful to them. This is definitely my go to store from now on for all hardware and marine supplies. You all rock!

You can tell the people care that work there. If they can't answer your question they know who likely can. If you have a confusing question it might take them asking a few people but someone an employee or I've even seen other customers jump in to help other customers figure out how to fix whatever it is needs fixing.

I came in there with my son because we needed a chain lock and a drill of some sort. I was so happy that I found a local hardware store because I knew they would actually help me and they did. I don’t remember the gentleman’s name but he was so kind and let me know if I have any questions about anything (I just moved and am trying to make it homey) to come in. Thankyou for being patient with me!

Always friendly and always helps you find what you need. Doesn't just point to it but walks you to it. I'd rather go to Dyson's than Lowe's.
