I couldn’t agree more with the other 1 star reviews. I was referred to Shore Pet Surgery to have eye enucleation surgery on my 16 year old dog. Scheduled the 1st appointment for blood work. Never saw a vet or a surgeon. Odd. When I arrived, the place stunk so bad of cat urine that I could barely breathe. It was horrid to the point that when I left, I was sick to my stomach. Going forward, I asked at the initial appointment if I was going to see the surgeon or vet- no, this is just bloodwork. No follow up from anyone about the surgery, who was going to perform the procedure, no consultation whatsoever. Surgery was scheduled for today at 8:15am. I arrived at 8:00am just in case there would be paperwork that needed to be completed. Walked in the office and the girl at the desk said “We’re not open yet, we open at 8:15am”. I just stood there in astonishment that this girl didn’t say “Good morning” no greeting at all and thinking this is rude and these are the people that I’m entrusting my baby to? Another red flag. I literally chuckled and walked out of the door, took my girl for a walk and came back. My old gal has high anxiety at the vet and needs to be muzzled which I completely understand for the staff’ safety. The girl brings out a small muzzle and I tell her that the muzzle is too small, I try to get this muzzle, once again that is too small for her on and it’s a no go. At this point I’m now getting angry that they’re trying to get me, despite my objections, to put this small muzzle on her. I told them if they want that muzzle on her they’re going to do it because I’m not going to piss her off. I know my dog and again it’s too small. This girl says “I know your dog too” . This infuriated me. You’ve seen my dog one time for 10 minutes and you think you know my dog!!!! At this point, in my mind, I’m ready to take my dog and leave. They took her in the back and couldn’t get the muzzle that was too small, reiterating yet again, and then came back out and said that I would need to put the muzzle on her or they couldn’t do the procedure. I said you’re a veterinarian office and you can’t put a muzzle on a dog???!!! I said give me my dog, you aren’t touching her, the communication here sucks, I’ll be putting that in my review and I left. Despite the muzzle issue, there is absolutely no communication from these people. I should have listened to my gut when I had the initial appointment and wasn’t consulted at all about the procedure and went elsewhere. I received two texts from them only- wanting to confirm the appointment for today- that’s all. I literally had to go on their website to see what their pre-op requirements are. Ridiculous!! People want to see who is treating their fur babies, they want information and a general reassurance of what is going to happen. If you want that courtesy, you won’t get it here. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Lesson learned.. if it doesn’t feel right.. it isn’t.

From the initial call scheduling an emergent spaying for our Great Dane diagnosed with pyometra, all the way through discharge post-op we couldn’t be happier. The staff was polite, thorough, and knowledgeable. Taking the time necessary to explain the procedure, what to expect, and answered all of our questions.

Shore Pet Surgery is the best!!! Our beloved kitty Gunther needed a life saving PU surgery. I had called many different veterinary hospitals and was receiving quotes upwards of $13,000. Shore Pet Surgery was able to perform a successful surgery for a fraction of the cost! They even monitored him closely overnight as he was in very rough shape. The doctors and staff are excellent, attentive, and kind beyond words. I can’t recommend this place enough! They are doing wonderful things and we are forever grateful they were able to save our Gunther. Many thanks to your amazing team!!

I recently brought my cat to ShorePet for a spay procedure, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we walked in, we were met with warmth and professionalism. The entire staff is wonderful, but I want to give a special shoutout to Brandon. He went above and beyond, handling multiple tasks with a smile and genuine care. Whether it was helping with check-ins, answering questions, or providing updates during the process, or follow-ups, he made everything feel smooth and stress-free even on a busy day. Staff was friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in. They quickly took my dog back for his scheduled surgery, so there was little to no wait time. Unfortunately, my dog was unable to proceed with surgery due to a heart condition. I was thankful the Drs and staff explained the danger it could cause my pooch if proceeded with surgery. I Highly recommend Spay Now!

Sophia and Sully would like to give a huge shoutout to the staff at Spay Now Animal Clinic Grasonville aka Shore Pet Surgery! Thanks for taking care of us yesterday and cleaning our teefies. ?Great prices and communication all day while my babies were getting bloodwork and dentals. Sully is a rescue and he is VERY timid around people, Spay Now is the only place I feel comfortable leaving him. I know they are compassionate and take their time with the special ones. They also did exactly what I asked for on top of the dental. They now have fresh teeth and nice short nails! Thank you guys! 10/10 recommend.
