Dr. Felix-Slack is so caring. She is respectful to both you and your pet. When there is "something" that needs to be done, she provides you with all options along with the pros and cons. To me, she provides the best care to my four-legged babies.

DO NOT BRING YOUR BABIES HERE. This was the most disgusting office with rude and incompetent employees. The Latina girl at the desk is downright nasty and I have no idea how she is still employed. I watched her give attitude to other clients and even roll her eyes at them. The actual vet speaks VERY poor English and had no idea what she was doing with my cat. She mishandled my cat(picked him up by his stomach??) and recommended a diet change when he tested positive for parasites?! I cannot stress this enough. Bad business practice, terrible customer service, incompetent employees. Save yourself some time and headache and go ANYWHERE but the Glenn dale vet.

Awesome Vet. Every time I have taken my cats there with an issue... Dr. Felix has given the correct diagnosis and my babies are well within the week. I'm always treated respectfully and professionally by Candy, the receptionist and Dr. Felix. I have to admit that some of the prices are costly however my babies get best treatment and are well cared for. I couldn't ask for more.????⬛?

On 2/9, my boyfriend took our sickly, feline leukemia positive, kitty to receive care here. The appointment was at 3:30pm, but we were having difficulties getting him into the carrier, so he called 10 mins before the appointment to let the clinic know he would be 10 mins late, and if it was okay if they still came. They said it was fine and he arrived at the clinic at 3:40pm.He is then told that everyone who arrived before him, regardless of their appointment was after his, would be seen before him. So, he waited in the car until 5pm. I was unable to go because I was home recovering from a medical procedure. I asked my bf to call me once he is in the room with the vet as I am the one with the most knowledge on his care and illness. At 5pm, I called my bf and couldn’t reach him, so I called the office to see if there was any issues. They confirmed that he was in with the vet and I asked them if he could call me. They told me it was fine. I thought that maybe he forgot his phone but that wasn’t the case. They had originally told him that he couldn’t be in the phone because if office policy, but allowed him to answer my call. I didn’t know I was on speakerphone, so I immediately started asking why our cat was being seen without anyone asking me for information. My bf told about the office policy, and I said, “I don’t care, you should have called me. What are they going to do without his info?”The vet(a woman) raised her voice stating I couldn’t ignore office policy. I responded “Can’t you be more understanding considering that I can’t physically be there and I’m the primary caretaker?” She walked out of the room and stated that since we refused to abide by their office policy, they would not even see our sick kitty. Even after making my bf wait over an hour.I could see if I was on the phone screaming, being belligerent, or disrespectful, but that wasn’t the case. I can’t even raise my voice since it was sore from the procedure the day before. We were only trying to have our sick kitty seen, and anyone with a Feline Leukemia positive cat knows that when they have ANY symptoms of respiratory infection, we have to get it treated immediately, or it could go downhill very quickly.I am very upset and highly disappointed that the vet here valued a office policy of no physical me calls over the life of a sickly pet. It’s disgusting, unprofessional, and disheartening that they acted as if being late was the worst thing ever, when my bf called and asked in advance if he could still come.Thankfully we called another vet clinic and explained the situation, by then it was almost 6pm, but the vet waited to see us and care for our baby.TLDR: Vet refused to see sickly kitty, risking his life, because of a “no phone usage” office policy when the only way she would get the care and medical history was from an owner, who was at home, on bed rest due to a medical procedure. Made client wait over an hour in the car, for appointment and saw other clients who appointments were after 3:30pm.Please, please don’t take your pets to a place that will turn your sickly pets away if you decide to answer a phone call from a concerned pet owner. We made the mistake of coming here because of the good reviews, but their kindness and compassion is conditional.

I’m glad that Glenn Dale Veterinarian Clinic on Lanham Severn Rd let’s me go into the exam room with my cats and Miss Piggy and Annie. It makes them more comfortable and I get to ask questions during the exam. I never felt I could get the full story or add info when I couldn’t go in with them at other vets. .

Terrible service. I’ve been going to her for two years. Her assistant is unorganized! And Unintelligent! She has no clue about what is going on and when the inconvenience is there fault! The assistant doesn’t know how to assist or fix anything her response is “I’ll call you back” and NEVER CALLS BACK ,after I’ve spent my hard working money on my pet and her services. It is poor quality service! And Don’t be deceived by the other reviews!! her front desk assistant literally beg me to “give a good review and write a comment on Google” after my dog was seen by the veterinarian.
