I want express my deep concerns regarding recent changes at Comprehensive Womans medical practice, particularly the transition to a concierge model that requires patients to pay an annual membership fee for continued care. As someone who has been a loyal patient at the practice for over 10 years, I have always appreciated the excellent care provided by my PCP, Dr. Parris. However, I find it disheartening and financially burdensome to be asked to pay an additional $2,000 per year on top of my regular co-pay just to access what is being labeled as "elite" care. Furthermore, my recent experiences with obtaining a prescription refill have been extremely frustrating. Despite repeated attempts since February 29, 2024, to get a prescription refilled, I have encountered numerous obstacles. Firstly, I was informed by the pharmacy that a prior authorization was required, which had never been an issue in the past when Dr. Parris handled it. Although the prior authorization was eventually completed by Nurse Practitioner Miriam on March 4, 2024, it was done incorrectly and subsequently denied. Following this denial, I reached out to Miriam via email and telephone call to address the issue. While I was assured by Francesca that the paperwork would be corrected and the necessary steps would be taken to ensure my prescription could be filled, I have since been met with further delays and conflicting information. Today, I was informed by Francesca that the practice will not proceed with completing the paperwork unless I agree to enroll in the new program introduced at the beginning of January. This assertion is particularly baffling to me as I had no issues obtaining a refill in January without any mention of this new program. In summary, I am deeply disappointed by the recent changes implemented at the practice, as well as the lack of transparency, misinformation, and inefficiency displayed in handling my medical needs. It is disheartening to witness a decline in the standard of care due to what appears to be driven by greed rather than patient well-being.

This practice has shifted to a concierge model and those that did not choose that option may suffer. I had an appointment in December, waited over a hour to be seen. I complained about the service received during that visit via various methods, email, FB message, calls and it was over a month before I heard back from another provider. Very disappointed in the changes in the practice. I otherwise was very happy with the service up until that point.

These opposing reviews are very surprising, as this office has been communicative and intentional since being referred by a good friend. The ladies at the front desk ALL greet me upon entry for each appointment. They were also very patient and helpful while we navigated a provider change due to a technical error with my insurance. They treated me humility, which I struggled with elsewhere. They were able to take care of my blood work same day, same office with little to no wait! Dr. I-G, has a calming presence bringing much insight and understanding. I appreciate finally finding a place for me amongst women of color.

I've been a patient at CWH for well over 10 years and never once have been seen by Dr. Marshall, Instead I always saw her PA-C, Christina Neal (who is AMAZING).The office admin staff was great when I started but has changed and is now completely unprofessional so I've had several issues over the years. Honestly, Christina is the only reason I remained a patient of the practice through all the changes and ups and downs. They've moved to a concierge model so I am finding a new PCP and leaving the practice. Inflation has touched everything else and now they expect us to pay $2k per year on top of insurance premiums and copays/coinsurance just to be seen by Dr. Marshall and Christina. This new concierge model threatens access to care for patients and it's giving elitism. I saw one of the other PA-Cs at a last minute sick appointment and if I had not advocated for myself she would've prescribed me a medication that has contraindications. Good luck to anyone she is treating on a regular basis.

One of the worst medical practices I've ever dealt with, unprofessional and reprehensible service. During a time in my life when I needed medical care the most, my doctor left their practice and then the office manager sent me a letter via FedEx dropping me as a patient which negatively impacted my whole life trying to find someone else on short notice. NOW, after rudely dropping me they are still sending me mail and emails advertising their new practice that charges patients to see the top doctors. The audacity to contact me with these promotions after letting me go with no care for my wellbeing. I will NEVER go back to this practice and they have no business using my contact information again. To the owner, manager, whoever -- remove me from your mailing and email distribution lists.

The service has declined drastically. Where is Dr. Marshall? If she has left her practice, why have her clients not been notified. I have never in all my 14 years had such terrible service. I understand that they only have Dr Parrish who is the worst I have ever experienced. No bedside manners at all. When Dr Marshall was there, the best !!!

Get to the appointment, had three different medical assistants wait on me. Each one of them asking the SAME questions... as if there was no chart, no communication amongst them. Assistant left me in the room, said she was returning to perform a specific procedure and needed to leave to get the equipment. After waiting more than 20 minutes, I hear chatter in the hall, walk out of the room to see that she's got her lunch pail in her hands about to head to lunch. Excuse me, I'm waiting on procedure X, Y, and Z. "Oh, that's right... comes inside the room, grabs the item she needs and proceeds..." What? On top of that, I keep getting billed for a copay that was paid at the time of the visit and the additional fee (not covered by the copay) which was paid a month ago; yet I keep getting a bill. Why? I have made several phone calls to the office in an attempt to confirm that the matter is resolved. Hallelujah! I paid with a credit card and have receipts.I won't be returning.

Poor communications, rude employees on the appointment line. There are 2 employees who are professional; all others are deliberately rude.I requested for a call from the doctor with a complaint of a medical assistant giving a diagnosis - who was not in the room while I was examined or diagnosed; I never received a personal call from the doctor.Doctors are not documenting progress notes of your visit. Or, they forget to. This does not help the patient, nor their medical condition for any future or additional treatment they may need. This practice allows medical assistants to diagnose and give medical advice. This has occurred to me twice. The medical assistants just laugh about it. How many other patients are treated in this manner?A supervisor is requested, never transferred to the supervisor or received!Doctors provide tests; but, never follow-up to discuss results, nor do they have a nurse to call with “red” or concerning results”! Absolutely no follow-ups from the doctors.Doctors play games to get you to come in to insure they are paid (per visit); in order for you to receive a prescription for a permanent “medically documented condition”; they coerce you to keep coming back for visits.Filing a complaint with my medical insurance. Who can take it further.

I have been going to this practice for almost 10 years. I originally followed a doc who left after my first or second appointment there. I was subsequently scheduled with Christina Neal, and have been seeing her as my PCP ever since. I read through some of the reviews, and yes sometimes it's difficult to get in. I called today and was offered an appointment two days from now. I've found that the fastest way to get scripts refilled is by submitting requests through the healow app. Requests submitted through Walgreens are hit or miss, but I'm inclined to say Walgreens is the culprit based on other unrelated experiences.Christy is consistently on time for tele-health appointments as well as in person visits. I've been to docs where I've waited hours, but my average wait time with her is less than 10 mins. Samantha, one of the medical assistants is also usually there and has always been friendly/helpful as well.8 years ago I moved from Bowie to another location about 40 mins away from their office. I have continued making the drive because the care I've received is unmatched. Are there occasional hiccups? As with anywhere, yes. But the bottom line is that a quality, caring provider who knows me by name (even when bumping into her at the grocery store) is worth much more than the occasional hiccup.

I have tried my best not to write this review. I mean being a black woman in America and finding a decent doctor who cares and takes the time and isn’t dismissive etc is an anomaly. However the care at this practice has significantly decreased. I’ve been coming here since I was 18 I’m now 26. The last three to four years have been terrible. I mean you call to make an appointment and deal with people that literally make you want to hang up or ask “do you even like your job?” Like why are you being this difficult with me for no reason when I am trying to get some quality care? I’ve had doctors appointments where no one helped me I didn’t get an answer to any of my problems but yet I’m being charged for something when I ultimately ended up going to urgent care after anyway because a doctor was supposed to get back to me before close of business and of course I never heard back from them. This is just a small summary of what I have dealt with this year alone. I wish you all the best but please consider that your staff may need some serious training. As well as the doctors. I get it people are overwhelmed but being dismissive to patient needs are not okay.

I've tried calling to make an appointment and/or have my prescriptions refilled and have been placed on hold for as long as 25 minutes prior to speaking with any 'human'. They have the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced with a doctor's office.

Giving a 1 star review is being overly generous to Comprehensive Women's Health in Glenn Dale. The front desk employees were EXTREMELY rude and the Office Manager Lakiesha Nobles is nothing to write home about and definitely doesn't know her job well. She was rude, unhelpful, lacks sense of good leadership, was biligerant and used foul language. This clinic is not worth the stress and hassle the front desk puts their patients through. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone - no wonder their office is always empty. They don't care about their patients. All the care about is money. If this location wants to maintain a good customer service relationship with their patients I recommend a total flush out of the front desk employees and most definitely a new and experienced Office Manager.

(There could have been a better outcome concerning this situation) I was a patient of Dr. M. Parris at CWH for about three years and she was "great". I also saw PA. C. Neal once, and she was also "kind and professional". I had to give a one star for each of the medical professionals that I saw due to a phone call from the office a year ago and what happened after that call. The person calling asked me "had I received the Covid19 vaccine". My response was: "I do not answer these types of questions over the phone." I was being cautious. There were warnings to the public in reference to scammers that may call you and tell you they can schedule you to get the Covid19 vaccine and you would not have to wait in line. It would be for a small fee. I called the CWH office and inquired about the phone call. The front desk receptionist told me "We don't do things like that". I called back to the CWH office about an hour later to ask a question. The receptionist told me that someone from the office did call me. I stated: "Why did the office not warn the patients ahead of time that CWH would be giving them a call?" The receptionist told me that she was "sorry about that." I responded back with a "Thank you." About a weeks later I received a text to remind me of my next appointment with Dr. Parris. Something strange happened again. I also received a text that stated "The Doctor will be out. So please call the office." I said to myself "Wow" this is all in the same day? First I have an appointment and now I do not. To make matters worse I received a letter within the same week, that stated CWH, would not be able to see me as a patient due to my behavior? My behavior??? I was shocked! My husband accompanied me the few times that I had an appointment. He was baffled and so was I. My behavior was always respectful when I went for my appointments. I'm over fifty-five years old and in the middle of a pandemic I had to find another primary care Doctor. In the meantime I went to Patient First, they fulfilled my medical needs during this time. Due to the pandemic I had a long wait, it was worth it. My prescriptions were filled. The staff and medical professionals were "wonderful" (God is Good!) I wondered if Dr. Parris even knows why I just stopped coming for my appointments. I tried calling and I wrote her a letter to no avail. Peace

I had a good experience. The front office was nice , phlebotomists Sinay was excellent, Medical Assistant, and the Provider was good. Check in was seamless. My wait time was delayed due to internet outage. The office was spacious , and clean. Parking is free ,but can be crowded. I'm happy about my first visit.I asked if front desk staff changed when I made my appointment I was told yes.Update had an in person visit that I was very specific wanting as follow up, I was scheduled as televisit. I called office and couldn’t get in touch with front Desk but spoke with call taker . The link for tele visits is apparently automated and hadn’t received for my appointment. I asked what are steps should the link not come through : I was asked to reschedule. For this I'm giving office one star . Call to many times to try and get in touch with doctor . Never again
