I recently visited zips dry cleaners on Crain highway glen Burnie, MD today 6/5/24. This will not be the first time there and have always had great service till today. There was a white man with a missing tooth whom I presume is the MOD. I was laying out my clothes and letting the lady that was servicing me know that there were some items that needed pretreatment. As I was talking to this woman, this man walked over getting in the conversation and letting me know that ann item might not be to the best of my liking due to the material, I said that’s fine. He then continued in my conversation with the woman taking my clothes and saying that if I was done in a rude and harsh tone. I said no I had some more items that required pretreatment which I’ve done plenty of times. He’ then said well it’s 9 and you need to hurry up. I said I am not concerned about it being 9, as a paying customer I have a right to let you know what I need attention on regardless of it being 9. I need my clothes dry cleaned correctly. This unprofessional man started going off telling me well you are only paying $3 in comparison to our competitors and was very rude and belligerent. I feel compelled to share. So I said if I was a white person would’ve told me to hurry up because there was a white guy there dropping off his laundry and I don’t see you rushing him. This man was rude, a racist, disrespectful and unruly.
This differential treatment made me feel singled out and uncomfortable. It was clear to me that I was being racially profiled, which is completely unacceptable in any setting, let alone a place of business.
I believe in supporting businesses that treat all customers with respect and dignity, regardless of their race or background. Unfortunately, my experience at fell far short of these standards. I hope that management takes steps to address this issue, including training staff to prevent discrimination and ensure a welcoming environment for everyone.
I would not recommend zips on Crain highway to anyone until they take meaningful action to rectify their discriminatory practices. No one should have to experience what I did, and I hope my review helps to bring about positive change.

Always friendly and professional and I've never had a problem in the 4 years I've been going to ZIPS and let's not forget that they have the best prices in town!

They brought me the wrong dresses 4 times, once was the manager. They lost an item and tried to convince me they didn't. The woman at counter could not speak English well enough to enter my phone number, also 5 tries. Manager was unconcerned. Never again!

I am amazed at the gentleman who works at My favorite zip cleaners. I went in hoping my zipper can be fix. Amen the Lord is Good. Mr. Al worked magic an my zipper is fix. Thank you Lord for the great men at Zip cleaners in Glen Burnie.

If i could give this establishment no stars, I would. I’ve been a advocate of zips throughout Maryland in my last seven years here. The way i was treated this morning was poorly at this establishment earlier by a gentleman named William. Cannot provide his last name nor the managers name, or owner by that manner because he wouldn’t provided it when asked. Continue going to the one over in severn because based off the way William treats customers is horrendous. There Moto is in by 9 out by 5. To be told this morning not all my clothes aren’t ready after dropping them off a morning prior around 8. Followed by attitude. And this is my first or second google review so that tells you something.

BEWARE. They send their items to the Essex location who completely ruined my military uniform. they only 30x the ticket Amy for compensation so I’m out hundreds of dollars because of their mistake. DONT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING IMPORTANT.
