Don't rely on Tate if you have an emergency. My brand new minivan broke down on the highway. I had three small children in the car and I have no other vehicle my family can fit in. Tate told me it would take at least a week (if not two) for my car to be looked at and there were no rentals available for me and my family in the meantime. This is not the first time I've called the dealership (where I purchased my car) for help and every single time I've been told I could get help in a week or two minimum. In this emergency, when I explained I wanted to give this dealership my business over somewhere else because it was where I had bought my car, I was advised by the service manager not to do that and to simply go somewhere else. I'll never buy from here again and will advise all others to avoid the dealership as well.

Do not bring your vehicle here for service, they don’t know what they’re doing. They take weeks to fix your vehicle and will not keep you updated or answer the phone. Worst customer service I have ever experience too.

I took my Dodge Durango there for oil change and not sure what they did to my vehicle that only have 39000 miles and in excellent condition but on way home the car ran hot and hole in coolant tank and engine light came on. Had it tolled back to them they told me it would be $300 even though it was something they did to my vehicle. And then called to tell me they couldn’t move the radiator so would be an additional $300 and that it could be more.
I have one FREE oil change left and I would never let them touch my vehicle ever again!!!

Brought a business vehicle, 2024 Tuscadaro Pink Jeep from this dealership. I’m truly in love with this jeep (my 1st Jeep ever ) The salesman Joe was very kind and knowledgeable about my Jeep.
I really would like to acknowledge the finance guy Patrick. I came looking to buy my pink Jeep, but left empty handed that day feeling really sad his encouraging words and instructions gave me hope. I followed his words of encouragement and came back in about 2 in a half weeks to a month to purchase my Tuscadero Pink Jeep. Patrick really helped me to get the best deal possible.
Thank you so much Patrick

Took my jeep in for oil change, tire rotation., tune-up, front end alignment and belt replacement. All went well. Spent a lot of money. While accelerating on highway, the steering wheel started shaking. Took it back and was told it’s probably the tires. They rebalanced tires and supposedly checked front end, ball joints, tie rods etc. was also told brakes were good. 23 point inspection done. (Whatever that’s means). After tire rebalancing, steering wheel continued to shake.
Took it to another mechanic who immediately knew what the problem was. The front caliber seized. Complete brake job required, now Jeep runs like new.
Let the service department know what the problem was and was told, “sorry about that, glad it’s fixed” What kind of response is that????
Will never return for any issues except for oil changes, which I have two left.

The worst car experience ever!!!!
They will threaten their new staff members to terminate their job if they do not receive 10 stars across their survey. They have zero customer service and lack customer satisfaction. All they care about is receiving good reviews when it’s not deserved. Jim, the Manager is rude, does not listen, combative and does not deliver his promises. Chris B. you deserve better. Find a career that your workplace values you and does threaten you because of their lack of support to you. I am still waiting for a call from Hodges, New Car Sales Director. If I do not receive a comparable solution this will continue to reach higher.
Chris B. is a new salesman and worked very hard to sale a car. I enjoyed his tenacity and determination however you can tell he was not well knowledgeable with the cars. In that aspect he should have had someone with him through the entire process showing the features of the car and answering questions.
Upon leaving, Jim made it very clear that he (Chris B.) needs to get all 10’s (stars). Receiving anything lower—-even a 9 will fail him.
I can Guarantee the highest degree Jim received was a high school diploma and I guarantee he did not get 100 scores on his test. A horrible scoring system!!!!
Horrible dealership!

The parts department is trash. Everytime I’ve been there, I’m there for 30-45 min as I’m waiting to just pick up some fluid. There is no one at the desk to welcome customers and you kinda just have to wait to see someone to actually get help. Wouldn’t not recommend buying parts or anything from this dealer. I also have gone in to replace something they gave me that was already opened, it leaked in my tool box and I checked the seal to see that it was broken. Even though I bought it from them like that, they still said they will not replace it. Don’t waste your time coming here for parts!

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST DEALERSHIP IN MARYLAND. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO TATE. THEY ARE SCAM ARTIST AND THIEVES STARTING WITH THE SERVICE DIRECTOR MIKE. HE WOULD NOT REPLACE A 50 DOLLAR INNER WHEEL LINER THAT THEY BROKE AND I SPENT OVER 6000 DOLLARS WITH THEM IN 2 MONTHS. MIKE THE OWNER OF TATE SHOULD FIRE YOU.. YOUR COSTING THEM GOOD MONEY AND GOOD COSTUMERS. (Pictures below show work they do for over 6000 dollars. )

Horrible service. Terry was unfriendly extremely unhelpful. I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for service bc my 3rd row seat would not come up. I have extended warranty but the dealership is charging me more than my $100 deductible for the repair. When I spoke with the warranty company, they said the dealership is making up how much time they will be working on the car and there’s actually a bulletin they go by (time chart). They are charging more than the actual time it takes. Not to mention, it’s for a repair that has been a known issue with other Jeeps in the past.
I would definitely not recommend them and suggest you take a drive and go to another dealership.

Worst possible place to buy a used car. I am so beyond disgusted with this place that it's unreal.
Bought a 16' Ford F150 on presidents day. Before we could even leave, the sunroof was broken and wouldn't close. I bought it, but 2 weeks later before I could take it home. Week later, my back up sensor is always going off. Took it in, they fixed it.....they did not fix it. About 1k miles into owning it, it starts surging when I come to a stop and stalls out often. Make an appointment online, clicked all the free things like oil change, 23 point inspection, etc. Show up, I was told that stuff isn't really free, their website is wrong when it checked me out. Whatever. "We see no problems with the truck", so I show the service manager a video of it doing it. Told me to bring it back if it shows a check engine light so they can see the code. Fine. Emailed the other manager, telling him my problem and my 3 month/3k warranty is almost up and my truck is stalling all the time. Told me unless it does it in front of them, they can't do anything about it even with videos. Finally, my engine light came on, P0022 crankshaft position timing. I had my dad use his Snap-On SOLUS Ultra before I went so I wouldn't be jerked around...…jokes on me I still was. Because the light went off before I got there, code is still in memory because my dad left it there, I was told the truck has no problems and to take it to the Ford Dealership because his buddy told him I may need a software update. Now, the Ford dealership told me that even though the code is still in memory, without the light being on, Mopar will not pay for it to be checked. So they are gonna try to cause the light to come back on....even though it has a code showing them the problem. Worst decision ever to buy a car from Tate Dodge. I'm stuck with a $35K truck that is a lemon with so serious problems with the crankshaft or timing chain, and I can't get them to fix it. Most likely it is because I have the Mopar extended warranty. I bet they would some how find the problem if I was paying out of pocket.
I will be speaking with a lawyer depending on what the Ford dealership says. Once I get to a point that I can break even, I will sell this truck and go somewhere else next time.

Bought a vehicle. They gave it to me with no gas. All other dealers I have worked with always give me a full tank when I purchase a vehicle. Every single one.
Gas light came on before I got home. So, thanks a lot for sending me off with no gas.
I just spent $40,000.00 and you can’t even spare a tank of gas??
Not acceptable for me so won’t be going to Tate again.

Our salesman was Tom. He is amazing! He is so kind, and patient. He came in to help us on his day off!! He worked with us, and we were able to work out a deal on a used work van, that we could not pass up! Tom is very communicative, caring, and knowledgeable. We had great conversations while my husband, and I waited to be seen for financing. All around down to earth guy, I would highly recommend to see Tom the salesman, he is THE BEST! We are soooo pleased with the service we got at Tate, we are a repeated customer at the new car side, but decided to go used this time. Tate is all around a good car dealer, they don’t mark up this nonsense fee that other dealers do, they are very honest. Go see for your self! You got a customer for life, we always end up back at Tate!

Went in today looking to test drive a Jeep Gladiator and went home with one. I can't thank Joe enough for being so professional and knowledgeable. He knew all and explained all. He really was the nicest salesman I have ever encountered. No haggle, big personality. Th e show room was nice and clean. The financial staff was very good to us, worked with us and made that portion less painful. I can't believe how efficient the team was with beginning to end. thank you!
