The customer service was awesome and Mr. Kaiwon helped me out with the measurements of my feet and was very respectful and polite in every aspect. From a scale from 0 to 10 stars. He definitely gets 10 stars from me. I really appreciate his customer service. Shout out to that man. The boots are awesome!

BOA SYSTEM NEEDS A REDESIGN —
TRADESMEN DESERVE BETTER
I’ve worn Red Wings for over two decades. I know break-in pain. I know hot spots. But this new BOA lace system on the Apex boots, It’s not just uncomfortable—it’s dangerous.
The cable digs straight into the top of your foot, right over the metatarsal zone. After a few shifts, I started getting nerve pain—burning, tingling, and pressure that felt like early-stage nerve compression. I tried thick socks, tongue reshaping, even skip-lacing the zone. Nothing fixed it. This isn’t a sizing issue. It’s a design flaw.
The offset dial placement and tongue bunching create a pressure ridge that presses into a nerve bundle. For guys with high insteps or sensitive foot anatomy, this boot can do real damage. And in the trades, we don’t have time to “wait it out” or “break it in.” We need gear that works with our bodies, not against them.
Red Wing—if you’re listening, this isn’t just feedback. It’s a warning. You’ve got loyal customers flagging a real issue. Fix the BOA placement. Reinforce the tongue. Give us a version that doesn’t compromise foot health for convenience.

Went in this morning to buy a pair of new boots , was not greeted when I walked in , walked over to the boots I wanted to purchase and the two individuals that was working did not once ask if I needed help , ask me to get my size or even acknowledge that I was even there .
After owning red wing shoes and liking the brand it sad to say I will be buying BRUNTS for now on

Went to the Glen Burnie store to get myself a set of work boots. They have a truck that comes to our job, but the selection isn’t the largest and it’s a rush to get the next guy in and out. So I finally went to the store. It’s the best decision I’ve made. A much larger selection in the jobs price range and the service wash awesome. Tony was great. He asked what I do and what style I like. He made a few suggestions even about how my feet felt in boots so he told me about the inserts and all my warranty information. I will most definitely go to the store from here on out. Hopefully Tony will be there when I do.

Went to the Red Wing store for the first time ever after hearing so much good things about the quality and comfort of the boots. At first I was very excited just to check them out and I left with some amazing boots, thanks to Todd! I cannot stress enough how helpful Todd was with making my decision on the boots and he made the purchase very special. He was very very informative and made sure the boots were perfect for me.
Thank you Todd!

Red Wing boot quality has gone down. I bought a pair of boots about a week ago and just this past Thursday I noticed The leather has torn by the toe now I went back to Redwing to try to see if they could exchange or fix the boots when I came in there. They said that they won’t warranty the boots. And offered me to buy a Toe cover for an additional $35 I work for the Local Water utilities and I need a boot that’s waterproof. I can’t rely on a boot that’s only gonna last me a week. Me and my coworkers will go to safeguard in Baltimore County for now on

Entered store with no customers and not even a greeting. Worker seated behind counter, looked at shoes for about 15 minutes and no offer for help. Left store no shoes. I will not return to this store.
P.s. had shopped this store for many years.

Upon entering the store we (hubby and I) were greated by both staff members who were assisting other customers and they let is know that they would be with us shortly.
I took hubby along because I know absolutely nothing about safety shoes as I've never worn them before. We browsed for about 5 minutes and Brigham was ready to assist. He took the time, even though the store was busy, to understand what I need and even addressed some of my concerns. He recommend I try a few pairs and explained all my options and then got me scanned. This was an amazing experience for me as I've never had this done before. After the scan he recommend another few pairs and was very patient and understanding with me, being unsure of what I want. The 3rd pair I tried felt like a dream. I honestly never thought safety shoes could be so comfortable.
After deciding on my shoes, socks and care products for my shoes Brigham got us rung-up and explained my warranty and so on. He made sure I knew to come straight back if anything doesn't feel right in the first 30 days and greeted us as we left.
Overall I had an awesome experience and will return to this same store in the future. Hubby will also be getting his next pair of work boots from Red Wing.

Roland was easy to deal with and helpful! They didn’t have the size I wanted but after getting measured on their new machine I found out I didn’t need that size anymore after loosing nearly 100 pounds since my last boot purchase. The new boots are comfortable and look great! I’ve been buying Red Wing work boots for nearly 30 years now and won’t buy anything else. Thanks Roland and Red Wing Glen Burnie! See y’all in a few months for some winter casual boots.
