This is the place you need to go if you have an RV and need an inspection. They were super accommodating and professional. I made an appointment to get my 2012, 31 ft Class C safety inspected and it was just a couple of days out not weeks out like other places! I showed up at 8 am and was done with the inspection by 9:30 am. It initially failed for a bulb and tint. You know how Maryland is about tint! They removed the tint and replaced the bulb and passed! Since I was there, I took advantage of their title and registration services. I was out of there by 10:30. Great little waiting area with a coffee machine and great cell coverage there. Great experience overall.

Not stoked about my experience with the company, but got what I needed done in the end. I think the people at the front desk could do a better job of understanding what the technicians are writing down in their notes because a lot of confusion could be avoided. Also, got quoted for one amount and after I left, got called over 30 minutes later saying it was going to be almost twice the amount they quoted after I had already told them they could do service. Just didn’t seem honest, especially after we had already discussed the service while I was there. Probably wouldn’t go here again.

First time at MD Auto. Good people, motivated, articulate mechanics, and they seem to have a system to keep things moving in a timely manner. These people seem to have my best interests at heart. Thanks so much!

We dropped off our Ford F250 Diesel on June 14th. We are just now picking it up on July 10th.
This experience has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. We were under the impression that this would be a job that would maybe take a week at most. The ticket was initially 6 hours for a turbo pedestal reseal. The starter had failed on site and added approximately another hour to the work ticket.
About a week and half into the job, we stopped by the shop to figure out what the delay might be. The Ford system had gotten hacked and deliveries for parts were on back order/delayed. We understand that this was not a fault of the shop’s. That being said, nothing was ever communicated to us. Only because of stopping by the shop were we able to learn this. We decided to, on our own initiative, go to Autozone and get the starter ourselves. This was comped off of the overall job.
A couple of days later, we are told the truck is ready to be picked up. For reference, we’re now about two weeks into a job we thought would take a week, for a ticket that was initially for 7 hours. As my partner turns the key in the ignition, the truck won’t start. Turns out that even under our mechanic’s guidance when picking out the “correct” starter at Autozone, it still wasn’t the right starter. We immediately bring this to the mechanic’s attention. In a desperate attempt, we go to Autozone one more time to get a starter that will actually work. As the mechanic is installing this one, he cracks our oil pan.
Yes, he cracks our oil pan.
We’re then told that this should be corrected the following Monday. This is a Friday when this occurs. Our mechanic tells us “I just need the part to come in on Monday morning. Once it does, I’m not going to stop working on this truck until it’s done”.
Monday comes. The truck is not ready.
The truck is not ready the next Monday either.
The only way this situation was able to be resolved was when my partner came into the shop today and told employees he wasn’t leaving until the work was done.
After picking it up today, there’s barely any coolant. It’s leaking puddles of oil. This truck was not doing this before we dropped it off!
This was almost a $3000 job. This doesn’t include money we had to pay back to Interlock as we missed a calibration and about $500 in ubers.
All in all, absolutely terrible experience. We’re absolutely disgusted by the lack of communication and service here. We never knew what was going on. At times, service writers tried to lie to us to essentially save face. Every day when we called to check on the status, we were told “It will be ready the next day”.
We are pleading for some kind of compensation for the failure and incompetence of Maryland Auto and Truck. We are also advising any future customers to take your business literally anywhere else

My vehicle need a minor repair that without it, the car wouldn't run.
I called two other service stations that I've done business with for years. Both wanted me to make an appointment, neither would get to it on the same day. Mind you I called them at 8:00 AM.
I called Sue at Maryland Auto Repair. Sue said she would take a look to see what needed to be done. She saw it was a quick fix, checked me in, and less than 30 minutes later I was back on the road.
I other two companies which have received thousands of dollars in my business, just lost my business because they wouldn't even entertain looking to see what my problem was.
Thanks Sue, you have my, and my company business from now on.

After calling in on a Friday to have my car Maryland Inspected and being blessed to hear I could come in same day just ahead of them closing for the day I was happy. I immediately came in only to have them fail me for 2 lights and a windshield wiper. I was told to return Monday morning and that the issues would be taken care of. To which I asked for an estimate, I was shrugged off a few times.
No worries, I had the wiper replaced and new headlights to have them replaced. Monday morning I watched my car sit for 2 hours only to have them keep telling me they were waiting for the other light to be delivered. After another 30 mins I asked to return when they were ready for me. After leaving to go six minutes up the street I was called and told the light had arrived.
I was shown a bill (they wouldn’t give me a copy of it) for $470+. After I made sure they knew that I wasn’t paying for elapsed time of me watching my own vehicle somehow they managed to understand that I wasn’t paying for hours of work in labor for what took less than 15 mins. I was then asked what was my budget?
Long story short I paid $76 for the light bulb replacement for my vehicle to get inspected ($108) only to feel as if I had been up charged and disrespected in a variety of ways.
When I returned days later to tell them that my lights had completed went out after having them replaced there “Sue?” was working the desk and didn’t hesitate to dismiss me and tell me it would be $159 for a test to diagnose the issue.
Needless to say, I wouldn’t step back into this shop with your feet (the reader). With that being said, proceed at your own risk.

I recently had my box truck over 10k gvwr undergo a state inspection at this repair shop and was thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and kindness. I highly recommend them if you need a state inspection for your vehicle. My only wish is that they also offered inspection service for trucks with air brakes.

They were easy to work with and get appointments with. They did an excellent and timely job on my DOT inspection, but it was a bit on the high side.
