  I was a client at this office for 15 years, and then my first real problem (cause by H&R Block because they failed to reply to my request for an appointment, and then failed to file an extension) they ghost me. I was penalized over $4k by the IRS and now H&R Block has not replied to my emails for help. They're fine taking my $600 / year to file but not when I have a major problem.

  i would recommend this H&R Block. The staff was very polite and professional, especially Cat. She helped me with my IRS letter and straightened my taxes out. She was very good at explaining it in a way i could understand. Please come see Cat, she is awesome!

  I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received from this Glen Burnie H&R Block location. I was referred to Susan Ryan, and unfortunately, my experience was frustrating and created a lot of stress simply due to zero communication. Before & after our initial in person meeting, she never responded to my emails or returned my calls, leaving me completely in the dark about the status of my return.
  
  I expected better communication and professionalism. I gave all necessary documents during the last week of February. Fast forward to April 1st, and I was still chasing the agent down about the status of my return filing. And after numerous automated emails encouraging me to finalize my return (in their hands) and asking for my feedback, I told them to cancel the filing of my return (and it became dead silent on the other end).
  
  I won’t be using H&R Block again and can’t recommend their services based on this experience.

  Absolutely horrible experience. I had complicated taxes this year (multiple W-2s and 1099s across multiple states) and figured it’d be best to come in to make sure I didn’t make a mistake. My preparer seemed completely unwilling to do anything beyond enter the numbers on the documents; she didn’t recommend any deductions or really answer any of the questions that I had, seemingly in the interest of getting me out as soon as possible. I ended up having to research and create deductions myself, and even then everything was input as “Other” on my Schedule C instead of in the appropriate boxes.
  
  At the very end, we reviewed the numbers and they appeared reasonable, and I was relieved that my taxes were at least done…until the next day, when MD took about $1,500 more than what the screen showed when I signed off on the return. After reviewing my MD return, I realized that my income earned in another state was counted as being earned there AND in MD - leading to an overpayment of nearly $4,000 to MD.
  
  I informed my preparer of the mistake on 3/18 and was told the next day that an amended return would be prepared for me to sign off on. It’s been 14 days since then and nothing. Zero response to my messages, either on the phone or through MyBlock. I can’t even get through to a human using their customer service number.
  
  I paid almost $800 to have my taxes prepared, and all I’ve gained is unnecessary stress and additional financial burden. Never using H&R Block again.

  I don't know how to thank Katherine Bateman. She is very professional. I had some problems with the IRS and I didn't have an appointment here at H&R Block. She helped me. I recommend that if you want to do your taxes and have problems, look for Catherine. I personally want to thank her for everything she did for me. She helped me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.   Robert was horrible at preparing our taxes. He made a mistake that could have cost us $14,000, but luckily I caught it myself. He was also slow to respond, gave inaccurate answers (that were later corrected when I asked him to check with his supervisors), and simply failed to even look at all the documents we submitted thereby missing important deductions. It took multiple phone calls each time to fix his rather basic mistakes. The supervisory agents were also of limited help and failed to follow-up with me in the promised timeframes. I'll never go here again.

  What a great experience! I had to take my baby and wife with me and they where so understanding and caring. Dovenia Dunnung was exceptional at what she does. I had only come to H&R block because the Jackson Hewitt unusualy go to had closed early for the day. Thank God! I found H&R it was cheaper and efficient! See you in 2025

  I booked online to see a specific tax associate. I showed up at 9am on 04/09, the front desk attendant said the tax associate was not in yet. Waited 25min, asked a different desk attendant what's going on and he told me they double booked today and the tax associate had no availability today. So clearly the first person lied to my face, they knew they double booked and didn't want to tell me at 9am. Went on the website and saw the tax associate had a 10am open slot. I didn't get treated fairly. The front desk attendant did offer a different tax associate than I booked. However, I have complicated taxes and wanted a specific tax associate.
  
  I thought the good reviews met good service, but I was wrong. Never coming here again and might not use H & R block in the future.
