So I get my cat's medication here. It's a medication that requires reconstitution and only lasts 10 days due to sterility concerns. I'm well educated on this as I primarily have worked under a board-certified veterinarian as a veterinarian's nurse assistant.
The tech or pharmacist that I spoke to earlier today told me that he cannot send me home an unreconstituted bottle, so that I may reconstitute at home for later use, because it's a "legal issue" and that he "will be investigating the staff doing that". Odd, as this was the first time I was ever told this.
So then why in the world would he have sent me home with an unreconstituted bottle today? After he insisted on having to reconstitute himself?
Just wanted to express my confusion. Aside from that, I've been treated with kindness from other staff and compassion when I ever ask questions to learn. Most everyone is lovely.
Attached is a picture of the bottle of powder (unreconstituted) that I received today.

I arrived 1 1/2 hours before closing to get a Covid booster shot. I was informed that they were not doing them and to cone back tomorrow. I asked if I could make an appointment. I was told no, just walk in. Well, that is what I did today and was denied service.

The pharmacy here will not accept a GoodRx account if you have insurance, even if your insurance price for meds is much higher. The reason I was given was “policies”, but other Costcos in the area WILL accept GoodRx. Was also treated with mild irritation by the cashier, even though I was never rude to anyone, just asked for an explanation as to why I had to pay nearly three times as much for the same medication I had filled at a different Costco last month. Consider taking your scripts elsewhere, and download the GoodRx app to compare retail and discounted pricing with other pharmacies (Costco isn’t always the best price, especially considering GoodRx discounts).
Updated from one star to two, averaged between zero-stars to those responsible for this newest Costco policy, 5-stars to pharmacist and frontline managers: After speaking with the pharmacist again (they consulted with regional manager and then called me) Costco has indeed changed their policy on GoodRx for certain medications. There is supposed to be a “block” on these meds in their system so that one cannot use GoodRx instead of their insurance, but it wasn’t working which is why last month I was able to get all my meds in the same way I had done for years. This time I am to be refunded the difference but in future I’ll have to pay a higher price for this at Costco because I have insurance, per their newest policy.

As a whole the store employees are great. The pharmacy crew is amazing. However twice I had a poor, if not bad, experience with the food court. Once I ordered a pizza over the phone. It was supposed to be ready by 5:30. I arrived at 5:15 picked up a few items and headed to the food court. My pizza was not ready and I was told they were running behind. I agreed to wait. But took my items to my car. When I returned I was not allowed to go back in scone it was near closing time. The last time disaster hit, the counter clerk gave me a hotdog which fell on the floor due to a defective bag. Another customer told me that it had just happened to them. and that they would remake it. I returned to the counter only to be ignored for 12 mins. By the clerk, hot dog and bag sitting on the counter. I left the store.

As other Costcos, this location offers appliances, auto/tires, items for babies and kids, clothing, handbags, computers/printers, electronics, furniture, hardware, health and beauty products, home/decor items, jewelry/watches, office products, patio/outdoor items, items for pets, and travel/luggage items. The self-checkout line does move along, as most patrons seem to prefer the cashier line. We were able to grab some last-minute stock-up items to go, and the place was well-stocked. Note that the food court area is about half the size of other Costco locations; limited seating. Plenty of parking, but the place does get busy! +self-checkout line moves along

I do love Costco because you can get a lot at once, lessoning the need for multiple shopping trips. But the other day, there were no carts to be found. So I had to leave sadly.

Great staff, always clean and loaded with things that my family and I love. Be weary of parking in the parking lot at nighttime as the staff will call the police on you.

I was looking for medication that my pain physician prescribed and thank god that Costco was the only pharmacy that carried it. Thank you!!

Over all, I've had nothing but decent experiences at Costco. But recently I had underwhelming experience of dealing with Neomi/Noemi. I want to keep the incident to myself but I did tell a manager and I hope it's taking care of. Many thanks to the young lady I spoke to.

I wished I lived closer to this Costco. They were so sweet greeting me at the door. I went to the pharmacy. The pharmacist, Andrea, was beyond accommodating. She had interns with her and I wish I would have gotten their names too. They were informative, patient, presented so much humility and helped me come to a best course of action for my health. Trust this is not the same at other Costcos.

Just got off the phone with them and they were beyond accommodating for me and my situation. The representative was patient as I had several questions which had her running back and forth to the pharmacists on site. Each time she was joyful and did not appear annoyed with me at all.

Costco on Ordnance Road is due for an updated review. My visit to this store was on June 24th and sheesh. Talk about looooooooong lines. Ever since they canned the extra registers and put in self check out, the checkout process is so backed up. The line to check out was literally all the way to the fruit!!! No lie!!! After checking out, I wanted to pick up my parents some cinnamon twist churro things which was a big mistake. The cluster of shopping carts and people waiting for their food too was a hot mess. Instead of ordering your food with the cashier, you place the order at a kiosk. My honest opinion is that they continuously cook the food to make up for the influx of orders and add an additional 1-2 people working in the back. A good assembly line order to make them operate efficiently so people aren't clustering up the area where people are also trying to leave. They line to exit the store backed up to the bathrooms where one of the cashiers had to yell two lines to exit for only one person checking receipts. Again, hot mess.

I've been coming to this location since I moved to MD last year, the workers here are always nasty. Today I decided to go to the bathroom first before shopping. I went inside through the exit door, as that's the door that leads to the bathrooms. The Karen at the door panicked and began yelling "SIR!! SIR!!.. YOU CAN'T COME IN THROUGH HERE, YOU NEED TO USE THE OTHER DOOR!!! .. SIR!!! SIR!!!" as if I had robbed a bank. I ignored her, no time for this BS. I could then hear her alert her management team on her radio providing a full description of what I was wearing and the direction I was walking, as if I was a criminal. I've been a Costco member for 20 years, don't need to be screamed at for trying to use the bathroom before I shop. I've read the other reviews of other customers who've had similar experiences with the employees here. Looks like a company culture problem that is exclusive to this location as I don't have bad experiences at other Costco stores. Management here needs to be trained, or fired. In addition, this Costco location looks like it was built in the 1960's. An old and ugly building, inside and out. What's irritating also, most times they have no carts available. Customers need to return to the parking lot to go find one. Since I live equidistant to the Laurel location, I've decided today was my last visit to this rotten place. Even the nearby Wal-Mart has better service and is more hospitable than this location. Good riddance.
