TLDR: A great no pressure place to buy a new Toyota.
A fantastic stress free experience purchasing my 2024 Toyota Prius XLE and trading in my 2014 Ford Focus. My car sales associate was Dulane Barnes who acted professionally throughout the whole process. He did not give me any round about talk and always was straight to the point with no pressure and always provided me with additional options when one wasn't available. He was very respectful of my time going above and beyond to provide me transportation after trading in my Ford. I was given a fair trade in value for my Ford and was provided quotes from three different sources to explain the number given. Mr. Barnes was professional and personable throughout the whole process and it is appreciated.
Sean was my finance associate for the process. He was also very professional, took the time to explain all options, provided me quickly with my temporary tags & registration, and did not pressure me to purchase any additional plans. I had Jazzmine as my customer service representative who acted as quality control. She was very professional and courteous when inquiring about the process I went through to ensure that I had a good experience and what could have been done to improve it. The only recommendation I have, it's not really feasible, would be a snack/small meal (not vending machine) for those who are present more than four hours within the store. Over all the experience was much better than I had been anticipating and I recommend Safford Brown for Sales.
Very Respectfully,
Shea

Dulane Barnes helped me through the process of purchasing a 2025 camry. No hoops, complete transparency, no push. Very helpful throughout the process, and he presented options for me to choose from along the way. Awesome personality as well. 10/10 recommend.

This dealership was so pleasant to deal with…no pressure. Everything went so smoothly finalizing the purchase of my new Prius. Heath was excellent to deal with and he made my test drives and purchase fun and informative. Thank you, Heath.

JP and Trenton are awesome! Super friendly and accommodating and tried to make the process as easy and smooth as possible.
Only docking a star for their financial guy Joe. As soon as I said I wasn’t getting the extended warranties he dropped his smile and became snarky and sassy the rest of the time. He also wasn’t transparent in selling it, just explaining the warranties as if they were part of normal Toyota Care and assuming they’re already part of my purchase. Check your final loan price to make sure what actually want is tacked on! Don’t focus on “monthly payment”, it’s a way to sneak on an extra $7k onto you, he even tried to get me up to a worse loan rate which would have lowered my monthly payment slightly but still net him $2k more

Would not honor toyotacare maintenance that I was told I'd have when I purchased my car. Their response was the salesperson I bought it from lied to me. My wife and I have been coming here for a few years on multiple vehicles. I will not be coming back again

My service experience this time with my car being towed in was not the best. Not reflective of any other service person. There's some excellent ones. I had left voice messages for my service coordinator over the weekend ahead of my Monday appt+ tow as a heads up for Mon. Sadly he didnt even listen to my messages ever! This was very evident when I arrived and got the"dear in the headlight" look as I assumed he had listened to my messages. He told me on Monday am he hadn't listened to any of them! I then requested over the course of the day that he show some regard for good communication
After an hour or so I went looking for him to ask some questions. He had disappeared for an hour or so . Never popped his head in to say he had leave! When he came back he didn't see any reason to tell me. When my new smaller hybrid gel battery has been installed (it had died), I paid my bill and went to leave with my car. But my 2 boxes in the back organizing my shopping bags and errands had been haphazardly tossed in the backseat and floor of my car. I walked back to the service bay not willing to leave with my vehicle like that. Even though the battery work has been done there, the back floor surface also wasn't flat like it should be. My service coordinator came out to help reorganize my boxes to the far back back of my vehicle and fix "the adult Styrofoam Lego project" so the flooring was done properly and flat. I started to leave the dealership, but then had to turn around and return since I realized that only my driver's window was working! Once again, I came back around to the service bay and sought out my service guy.. He reluctantly came over and I shared my surprise that only my driver's window was now working.. He immediately pushed back with an annoyed look on his face and told me, "We only replaced your back battery, we didn't do anything with your windows mame." I was shocked! I told him my windows had been working just fine. .Now, as a car girl for many years, I rebuked his accusatory attitude and lack of knowledge and caring. " Couldn't it be that some systems have to be reset after having a new battery installed? I asked. "Why don't you get a tech or talk to the tech that put in the battery and find out!" I said kindly. Then demonstrating that 3 of my windows aren't functioning anymore. He's now extremely annoyed, and begrudgingly looks down and walks away not saying a word. Hopefully to do one of the things I suggested to help remedy this situation. About 5 minutes later he comes back without saying a word, goes over to my passenger door, opens it and starts holding the button down for a short period of time, then checking that miraculously my window is suddenly working again. He clearly clearly had to reset it's function as I had suggested. He then silently goes around my vehicle and proceeds to reset the remaining 2 windows until they all work again. There is no apology, no eye contact, no remorse, no words of responsibility for his treatment of me, just an attitude of, ok are we done. Regardless, I thank him. He silently walks back to his service booth. This person lacks good communication skills and empathy to connect with customers. Where is his customer service attitude to be of service?!! Please get him some emotional intelligence and communication skills training. Maybe he'll even have an attitude of service to listen to customer's messages! Please Note: this experience is not indicative of other service coordinators. In the future, i will choose to work with a lovely woman whom I observed over many hours to be a great, thorough, knowledgeable service person and communicator. Sorry Dave, ( service
mgr.) this experience was so out of the norm of good service for your dealership, I had to write about it Hopefully this will create some good change.

I recently purchased a car from Safford Brown Toyota Glen Burnie, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. A special shoutout to John and Heath for their excellent customer service. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted, and they made the process incredibly smooth and easy. The facility itself is top-notch, and the entire staff was very hospitable, making sure I was comfortable while I waited for Heath. They truly valued my time and made me feel like a priority.
A special mention to their saleswoman, who had a gentle and professional approach throughout the process. If I'm ever in the market for another Toyota, I would definitely consider returning to Safford Brown Toyota Glen Burnie. Thank you for making this such a positive experience!

After finding out the 2 RAV4s we were trying to purchase were not on the lot (and in fact weren't going to be in for over a month) from another area dealership, I stopped into Safford Brown on a whim to see if they were able to get a deal done on cars they had on the lot. After listening to the poor experience we had at the previous dealership, JP provided understanding and facts as to what was available and pricing in a matter of fact approach that was very refreshing. In a checks and balances way, Safford Brown has a customer service rep who checked in midway through the sale to make sure we were satisfied with the staff and experience. Joe helped us through the financial process and was not pushy or insulting unlike other experiences we've had. The GM also assisted in getting the deal done and I tip my hat to him as well. The deal we received was fair and I feel that both parties were happy. This is the 3rd and 4th vehicle we have purchased through this dealership. Moral of the story is that Safford Brown may not be the most inexpensive but conversely not the most expensive by any metric. The entire staff of the dealership was a pleasure to work with. The sales and financial staff used facts and actual numbers to work the deal. No pressure was added due to their honesty. If you want a fair deal with honest people in a clean well-lit dealership with no distracting music or gimmicks, give Safford Brown a try. I am confident that my family will be patronizing this dealership again.

My wife and I have been looking for the perfect Tundra.. We knew what we wanted and just had to find it.. We had 3 we found and ended up speaking to Mr. Dulane Barnes @ Safford Brown Toyota.. He was completely professional and very thorough.. Once we decided that this was the one for us we drove 4 hours to pick it up.. Mr. Barnes greeted us and gave us a complete walk around of the vehicle.. He sat down with us and answered any additional questions we had.. Mrs. Linda White took us through our Finance, Insurance and Warranty options and was super patient with us while we chose our protection plan..
The entire team couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming to us even after finding out we both have been in the car business our whole lives !! We ended up having a great time through to delivery process and were soon on our way back home.. For a couple of folks in this business that could have purchased a vehicle anywhere, we are so glad we chose to do business there on the purchase of our 2024 Toyota Tundra Capstone !! They treated us very well and we highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the country looking for a Toyota !! Thanks Again !!

Beware of Poor Service and Warranty Issues
I previously had a great experience buying a car from Safford Brown Honda, so I decided to purchase a Toyota Camry from Safford Brown Toyota of Glen Burnie, hoping for the same reliability. However, my experience has been disappointing.
After only 11,000 miles, I discovered a bubble on the sidewall of my tire. When I contacted Safford Brown Toyota, they claimed it was due to hitting a curb or pothole, which is unlikely as I’ve always driven carefully. Despite my arguments and providing evidence that there was no curb rash or bent rim, I was quoted $290 for a new tire after a lengthy back-and-forth.
The service manager promised to contact the tire manufacturer for warranty consideration, but it’s been over two weeks without any follow-up. Instead of addressing the issue properly, they ended up charging me over $300 for a tire that should have been covered under warranty due to a manufacturer defect.
I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before purchasing from Safford Brown Toyota of Glen Burnie. Their customer service and handling of warranty issues have been frustratingly inadequate.
