It frustrates me to leave Romance Cleaners after over 20 years! Shirts have been coming back with hard pressed "wrinkle errors."I brought back some shirts and they weren't willing to fix them.We've also been dealing with a fragrance on the shirts and must air them out for days and days. This wasn't a problem until recently.

I was very clear when I dropped off my items that if they couldn’t get the stains out to let me know, they should be able to know what type of work they are capable of. They charge me didn’t get the stains out and then trying to act like oh they just do regular cleanings. I’m reporting this fraud.

The staff is friendly, patient and honest. There have been a few times when I have mistakenly left an item in a pocket or forgot to remove apiece of jewelry from an article of clothing. The cleaners staff called me to tell me what they found and that they will set aside for me.

Romance Cleaners is new to me, having moved from NJ to Maryland, we feel like we've lost family when a new dry cleaner, new veterinarian even a new local hangout needs to be found. Well I found it with Romance Cleaners. They have contactless, drive through service, prices are reasonable, and the employees extremely friendly.

Great job, but just as important, they actually care about customer service. I'm only staying in Germantown a short period of time and I've needed dry cleaning on two occasions. Not knowing anything other than these Google reviews I initially chose Crest Dry Cleaners based only on the number of reviews. My first order with Crest was fine and they did a good job. They next morning however I realized I had forgot to include a dress shirt for a wedding rehearsal dinner that night- basically I needed a rush job by noon (because of travel). I went back to Crest and long story short, the clerk made it clear that they would do absolutely zero to accommodate me. I was not some unreasonable jerk walking in demanding special treatment- I just wanted a fair assessment and sure, even some priority if it could be done without negatively impacting customers who were ahead of me. The Crest clerk would not even move from the register to see what their load was for that morning.
I left and called Romance and the experience was 180 degrees! The woman on the phone heard the situation and said they could get it done. When I arrived they were busy, but the woman was very friendly and appeared happy to help- and they instilled absolute confidence that it would done by noon, which it was and they did a perfect job. They didn't charge extra and she even refused a big tip which I was more than happy to pay.
Bottom line is both cleaners have the capability to get the jobs done- but spending 5 minutes in Romance it was clear that this was an operation where everyone involved seemed to ACTUALLY CARE and take some pride in what they were doing. At Crest, I could see workers in the back diligently doing dry cleaning, but the moron at front desk who is the face of the business ruins it. Romance will get my business 100% of the time because of this and I recommend it to anyone out there like me who is just searching for a place online and it's a coin toss- go to Romance on principle.
