I highly recommend Kathy the groomer. She does an exceptional job. Kathy is very kind, friendly and my chihuahua Choppy loved her!

Great inventory for things however one representative made my experience bad there, I went there for a Betta fish for my daughter and asked someone to help me this person flat out said sorry we don't have anything for that fish and I needed a filter and a big fish tank in order for it to survive, when the whole time they had all the betta fishes at the front and then i found out they only need clean water and a fish bowl which is what my daughter wanted anyways.

The manager is a jerk. I don't know why. Another store told me I could return some plants that I purchased from his store that were not the proper plants for my aquarium. Semi aquatic so they shouldn't be fully submerged. When I brought them back to this store because I bought them from there, he told me the other store was wrong to tell me I could return them. For 5 minutes he kept saying he couldn't do it. Finally he does it saying he will do this this one time. It was quite embarrassing and unnecessary. When I got home I looked up the policy. I was hoping that I hadn't got the other manager in trouble if he had been wrong. However the policy states that they could absolutely be returned even without the receipt as stated by the other store manager. I called back to tell him he was wrong and he insisted he was right until I read it to him and then he said it was at his discretion. That also is not on their web page so I believe he is lying. I don't understand while he chose to give me a hard time about a 9.99 plant when I spend souch in that store. All of the associates recognize me. Luckily we have several other companies but they aren't as close. It was pretty embarrassing for myself and him. It will have to be an emergency before I walk in there anytime soon. As the only person of color in line at the time I wondered if that's why he treated me so poorly. Maybe corporate can forgure it out when I let them know.

Hands down the BEST staff! Always friendly always smiling. The store is always stocked. They will definitely honor price checks and give honest prices.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would… so unprofessional my cat was supposed to be coming into to get fixed but they had I explained over the phone that Gaithersburg referred me cause they had sooner dates … they wasted my time and and not thorough or care about what they do it’s very sad… my baby is in pain and they do not care it was very disgusting and when i was upset they were very disrespectful towards me and showed no remorse. When I simply asked for the first name of the person who took my appointment and KELLY looked at me crazy and like i was slow it was very vile, all i wanted was an explanation i changed my schedule around and came there very early in the morning… and they were talking about let’s get her checked anyways, as if i didn’t already say she got checked a couple of days ago. When I wanted to take her after i called Gaithersburg and booked her surgery i waited over 10 minutes and then the doctor came out and talked to me and ask me if i wanted to book an appointment for a sooner date in germantown… why would i do that when from my view your staff is clearly unprofessional and do not care even though the doctor apologized…..the doctor wasn’t at fault for anything that’s not who owed me an apology…..and Not only that they took my comment down i don’t even know how… that’s just the icing on the cake if you love your pet and see them as family DO NOT COME HERE cause unfortunately they won’t be treated with care

Went for dog food. It's unbelievable how much some of that food cost. Your could have a decent dinner for two. Still there is dog food for every budget.

It’s not the local staff, it’s call center that all calls now go through. Why does it take almost 10 minutes to change the time of appointment? Why not have an option to change online? You can cancel, but not change time. Dumb!!

I brought my two dogs here for a grooming. When I dropped them off, I noticed that the grooming salon was very dirty. It clearly hadn't been getting cleaned up. After picking my dogs up, I noticed immediately that there was an over-powering and disgusting smell of what smelled like anal gland excretions on them. My dogs have never had any anal gland issues or a smell like this on them before. After sniffing them down, the smell was located on parts of their body that would be in contact with the floor or kennel if they were laying down. Basically, it seemed that what had happened was that they had probably laid in some other dog's anal gland excretions and gotten it on their bodies. It looks to me like this salon has a major cleanliness issue and is not properly cleaning up after excreting dog's anal glands, resulting on it getting on my dogs. The manager said told me that this wasn't possible, because they kept things clean. This was in direct contrast to the clear dirtiness of the salon when I dropped them off that obviously wasn't getting cleaned. They said the smell must be my dogs, despite my dogs never having had this smell before or any history of anal gland issues. I wouldn't recommend this salon due to the clear sanitary issues.

I've been getting pet supplies at this location for 19 years now. Staff, in general, is knowledgeable and friendly. The variety of pet food is great and of superior quality compared to other retailers. Some things like dog costumes and beds can be found cheaper somewhere else. It's a great place to bring kids along so they can watch the fish and other animals.

The staff was very friendly and recommended a staff member who had experience cutting a Yorkshire Terrior. Isabel did exactly what I asked for and Angelo look fabulous!
