I was craving American Chinese food (specifically crab rangoons) and Mr. K's Oriental Cafe, next to the Dutch Market, delivered (not literally...although they do deliver). Called in a takeout order and had a nice friendly chat with the person (I assume Mr. K) when I went to pickup. There's indoor seating but it was in the down time between lunch and dinner so there wasn't anyone seated there. Lovely pictures on the door of school activities that Mr. K's has helped out with. Their menu is online and they have Chinese, Thai, Korean, and pho. Crab Wontons: 6 to an order. Mostly cream cheese and very little crab. The sweet and sour sauce was a bit watery and packaged in its own little bag to make sure it didn't spill out of the little cup. I do appreciate how it was crispy and not greasy. Honey Walnut Shrimp: large/jumbo shrimp with good flavor and a nice bite despite being in the white sauce. Pineapple and black sesame toppings with a sliced orange arranged in the takeout container. The walnuts had a delicate sweetness to it which I assume was the honey. The chef specialties also come with rice. This dish left me wanting more of it (in a good way). Singapore Rice Noodles: chicken, shrimp, beef, and some vegetables with curry rice noodles. This one had some kind of pepper to help give it a bit of a kick which left a good flavor without burning my mouth. Wish I had know about this place sooner and am excited to come back and try other dishes.

I've eaten at this establishment 3 times in the past year. The owners are wonderful people, the environment is friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious. I ordered the bulgogi and the masuman curry which where both amazing, perfectly seasoned and cooked and lasted well over a couple of day. I would highly recommend this restaurant for both a casual lunch and a takeout dinner.

My first time there. I stumbled into it by accident when the place I was going was closed. An unpretentious little place with friendly service and amazingly good food! I had the spring rolls and the honey walnut fried shrimp. Both were outstanding.

The restaurant is calming and very nice to sit down in for a low key spot. There was gentle music playing in the background the was dangerously relaxing. My to- go order took about 30 minutes so I recommend calling ahead if you're short on time. As I waited, regulars popped in and ordered boba. There's a beautiful local relationship with the area that warmed my heart. I ordered curry tofu and fried eggplant. Both were extremely sweet to my tastebuds. The curry was the right consistency and I wanted to like it but it was just SWEET. No essence of coconut, just sugar. The tofu in the curry was beautiful so I was a bit saddened by the curry being overly sweet. Later I tried the eggplant and the sauce for the eggplant was sugary. I've never had sugary curry or eggplant and it very well could be my palate is very sensitive to sugar. For that reason, I won't try it out again but for those with a sweet tooth, this may be your spot. Beautiful staff, so stop by and support them as they support the neighborhood.

This is a no frills restaurant. There were a lot of carry-out orders, but we opted for dine-in. The service was great. Food was goid but a tad on the sweet side, hence the 4 instead of 5 stars. We ordered General Tso's Chicken, Chicken with Basil (Thai), and BBQ spare ribs. Overall, it was a good experience.

Pretty bland.I was excited to try this because I heard their General Tso's chicken was great. So, I got that, plus the Pad Thai Chicken. Sadly, neither dish had very much flavor, in general. I mean, it was decent, but my General Tso's chicken didn't have any spiciness whatsoever, no chilis, and no crispiness on the chicken skin. I'd like to give 'em another shot though, and see if they have a spicy version. Review update pending...

I've been coming to this place for years, and unfortunately I have to bring my rating down to about 3 stars overall solely because of prices. I always do take out and the order gets done right on time whenever I arrive to get it. I haven't had a single time where the quality of the food was unsatisfactory or where my order was messed up. But the prices of the food have really gone up, which to little fault of their own, that's inflation doing its work; but regardless, I still have to take that into account and the orders can be really expensive.

The food was delicious and was presented very nicely. The front counter lady was very nice and welcoming. I tried their basil fried rice, shrimp fried rice, hibachi, and orange chicken. All were fantastic. I really recommend this place.

This was my first experience at Mr. K's. I had the thai beef fried rice, and it was outstanding! The menu explains that they don't use msg and all of their food is cooked in olive oil. I believe it! After eating from Mr. K's I felt really good about having done so.Vegetarian options: Plenty of optionsDietary restrictions: Gluten free

PLEASE READ!! The food quality and service at Mr. K's has gone DOWN hill. They are always getting orders wrong, skipping items in orders, etc. I've seen people bring food back. Last night I picked-up an order of SHRIMP and Roast Pork LoMein. I noticed that the cashier was sure to staple my bag of food shut. First of all, it appeared that my food container had been already opened and the LoMein (old and soggy) had been stirred around (the food wasn't tightly packed in the container like usual). Secondly, I discovered that there was ONLY 1 whole Shrimp and two partial cut up pieces of shrimp in the entire container!! When I called to report this, the lady argued with me and said that the cook had put 10 shrimps in my dish and that the shrimp must be on the bottom. LOL She just lied and choose to argue with an unsatisfied customer. SMH Third, I asked for extra bean sprouts and green onions, they charged me $3.00 for it and didn't include any extra in my order. Finally, today I woke-up with a fever and a sore throat, and went to urgent care. I contracted strep throat. The place I went to and the only food I ate yesterday cam from Mr. K's. Mr. K's (Krooks) over charged me $24.00 for Used/RESOLD FOOD that literally made me SICK. NEVER APGAIN!
