I stood in front of the deli waiting to be greeted nobody even looked my way, I said hello and asked if I could place an order for a sub. Was told by a lady to wait with an attitude... bad customer service. I walked out.

This location has the worst produce in the area. There has been mold on their products every time I have gone there without fail. It's not just one product that would have mold on it but a variety of produce. Either they should have someone going through to get rid of the bad items or they need to look into who they are getting their produce from. Numerous occasions I have gone home with items that had already expired by more than a week.

I called to ask about a job and he hung up in my face the manager is not professional and shouldn’t have a job ! Makes me freakin sick ! I wouldn’t work for a clown like him !!!!

I will not be doing another online order pickup from this location. My appt. time frame was listed between 9am-9:30am. I received a text at 8:39am that my order was ready for pickup, so since I was in the area I came by before the time frame to pick it up. The gentleman gave me a hard time about arriving before my scheduled picked up time even though I received a text about and my order being ready via text. I’ve been a long time customer and have done many of pick up orders. I’ve never had anyone made me feel this way.

This is my normal grocery store and I’ve had good experiences so far. Been going here for about a year mainly because it’s the closest grocery store to me. Staff have been very friendly when I have to interact with them. Only complaint is sometimes the produce department is a little understocked.

Thank you Kay Nyan, Store Manager ! Our son Michael, age 22, is autistic. He just began his DREAM job working at the Harris Teeter (Store #325)in Darnestown Maryland last Wednesday. He loves to work. He loves people. He loves his new job! When he came home after his first day, his self esteem, self confidence and self worth were soaring. He was literally dancing around our kitchen celebrating with joy his new job. We are so happy and proud of our son.Michael knows almost everyone who works there and many customers. Some customers move over to the cashier where he is bagging groceries because they are happy for him too! Inclusion of people with disabilities is a win-win for not only the individual employee but the employer as well. Thank you Kay, Alan and Margeaux and Harris Teeter for helping to allow this opportunity to happen! You have now made Michael's dream come true!Beth and Terry McShane

Underwhelming stock on a Monday afternoon following a holiday, no one staffing self checkout, problem with credit card reader, manager doesn't help, runs off to get a cashier to help, who cannot... Weird vibe from the cashier and manager interactions.

I wanted to recognize three employees who always go above and beyond. Nate, Tim, & Charlene at the Harris Teeter at 14101 Darnestown Road in Darnestown, MD 20874 are outstanding and deserve recognition. They fill my prescriptions accurately and promptly. One time my doctor sent a prescription to my old pharmacy, CVS, by mistake, and no problem they retrieved it to Harris Teeter and had it filled in no time. I even had one of my friends transfer her prescriptions from Walgreens to Harris Teeter. I appreciate them all so much. What a GREAT team you have. Thank you very much.

Great place to shop. Savings are off the chart when it comes to Harris teeter weekly discounts on thousands items. But you must get there VIC card to save money on things that are discounted. Very good customer service. I never had a problem returning unwanted item or exchanging . 99% of the times Service is quick and fast never have a line longer then 2 or 3 customers. I haven’t shopped another grocery store since I discovered Harris teeter.

Harris Teeter in General is very expensive. At Darnestown Location Call any of there fresh food department no one ever answers. Go in person there is hardly anyone there to assist. I often find expired items on shelves. Imagine the frozen meat i found expired a month ago. Always have to wait in line since there are not enough cashiers. Self Checkout is the worst. Probably managed by the worst management. Why would anyone want to shop here?

Unfortunately, this is the closest grocery store to my home and for convenience reasons, it’s the grocery store I often go to. Without reserving too much harsh judgement, I will say, it would be nice if the produce were fresh and not rotted and old. There is a huge shortage of fresh produce. I find myself having to conduct a heavy search of fresh like fruits and veggies. The meat department is very disappointing as well. I have to always check the expiration date on meats because sometimes meat has been sitting out for days expired and rotted. Not all of their produce and meat selections are this way; I still shop there for emergency needs and last resort. Luckily there are two or three store employees there that are always very friendly when I see them. But for the most part, the customer service is terrible. A common theme between the produce, meat and customer service; there are still a good few in the bad bunch. Unfortunately this has been my experience at the Harris Teeter, I am sure it is not everyone else’s. I’ve lived in the area for two years now and I am thoroughly disappointed with my experience thus far.
