One star is TOOOOOO generous! Clean your toilets guys! Your employees and customers use them for goodness sake. Hygiene should mean something to you given that you SELL FOOD and MEDICINES. Your employees handle raw food all day. Hire someone or hire a cleaning service - you can afford it!

MINO was amazing , my mother and I stopped him in the deli department to ask about the ham prices and if there was anymore ham glaze . Mino stopped what he was doing to come and help me and my mom look for the glaze , we checked 2 isles and after that Mino was able to find us the very last one in the back of the top shelf !! He extremely kind and determined to help us find it along with another wonderful woman . His customer service and positive attitude made my day and holiday he was amazinggggg I hope to run into him again ! Rachel the cashier was great as well she was patient even though she had a long line ahead of her with full carts , she kept a positive and welcoming attitude to all of her guests :)

Generally understaffed and often not fully stocked. Even so, the location is ideal for me and I come here often. Other upsides are that it is clean, well-lit, and reasonably well-organized with a broad selection of foods.

As a former Giant food’s employee, I understand the company’s view on customer service and how it’s the key ingredient to remain in the top food store chain. I’ve had family, who also worked and retired from Giant Food’s, even starring in a commercial. I still grocery shop at Giant, and until today, get my medications from the Pharmacy. I will no longer use this Pharmacy at this Giant due to a few unacceptable interactions with a Pharmacy staff. I understand that employees are human too, and occasionally have “bad moments”. But one of those “bad moments”, can have devastating effects. This review relates solely to the Pharmacy employee at this location. I was in a workplace incident last year, breaking my back, and am being treated with controlled medications, prescribed by my doctor. Understanding the current and difficult nature of some medications, it’s personally difficult enough of feeling judged when picking up the medications. One of the few interactions with this employee, I’m vividly reminded of every day... I remember standing at the counter, giving my information to pickup my prescription as the employee is typing into computer for what seemed forever. Eventually I was told that there were no medications to be picked up in the system. I explained that it is under a “Workmans Compensation claim”. I assumed that there was a different, and secured system to check due to more typing and then scanning a band on the employees wrist. At this point, the body posture, facial expressions, and conversations from the employee felt a bit confrontational, as she said that there was no medications in the system. Employee then said, “We’ll call you, don’t come here until we call you”! I then told the employee that I was not satisfied with the interaction between her and I, and I no longer wanted her to assist me when I came to pick up any medications, and I left to continue grocery shopping. I was completely out of the much needed medication and was having major pain, anxiety, depression, and withdrawal into the next day. I spoke with my doctor to confirm, and he advised that the medication was in fact sent over to the Pharmacy. The next day I spoke with Cassidy, who was an absolute caring and helpful employee, about the medication situation. She advised me that the doctors prescription was in fact in the system, and they were available when I was previously there, and could not understand why the medications were not filled and released to me. She apologized and said, “Sorry”, to me and said that she would do everything in her power to get the medication, of which had to be ordered, to me as quickly as possible. I eventually did get the medications, and Cassidy remained very compassionate and helpful whenever I spoke with her reference my medications. She actually went as far as to seek “pre-approval(s)” for certain medications so that it would minimize any delay. I give Cassidy 5 out 5 Stars for her customer service. I will continue to grocery shop at Giant, but will no longer use this Pharmacy. At the very least, the employee needs to understand that even when the pharmacy has a line full of people, the phones are ringing nonstop, the prescriptions are flooding over the counter, that she has to regroup and deal with every customer as if it’s her own family members. Interactions of this sort may have a life changing situation for those in less control and will undoubtedly cause and bring unwanted attention to the entire Giant brand.

Be ready to be shamed by the store manager, she likes to (literally) point fingers and laugh at you if you are of a certain body built. I was there a couple of months ago to get my covid shot, and noticed it. I was shocked to see this, as I along with the person administering the shot also noticed that the store manager pointed her finger at me, whispered something in the ears of the lady that walked next to her and laughed at me. The person administering the shot, felt really bad for me and apologized to me. I was told that, the store manager is a very arrogant lady, and she has personal relations with many top management people, therefore despite many many employee and customer complaints, she doesn't even get transferred to another store. I was also told that, because of the fact that she discriminates employees, many people left the company to work elsewhere, or at a different giant. Its a total shame that the type of nonsense still exists in 2021..

This Giant used to be one of the best in Germantown area. But not since the pandemic started. They push selling expired meat, thawed seafood, dairy product and other goods which you expect to be fresh. Because of pandemic the items are non-returnable.

Love the assortment of fruits, vegs, and plant based meats, especially the Farmland meatballs. This store is a keeper?
