I had an annual eye exam on 6/22/2023. Normally the annual eye exam is covered by insurance. However, I received the bill after the exam. I called the Germantown Vision Care Center to try to find out why that annual eye exam was not covered by the insurance. My phone was redirected to the billing office. I called the billing office many times. Nobody answered the phone. So I left a few messages and finally was able to talk to the person about the issue. She replied that she would discuss the issue with the physician and call me back. Then I never heard anything from her. I kept receiving the bill. so I called the Germantown Vision Care Center again. I was told that Dr. Schermer was on vacation and would contact me after he came back. Then I never heard anything from the center, but again kept receiving the bill. Every time I called the office, the staff responded with a nice and polite attitude, but nobody addressed the issues. Eventually, I got tired of the back-and-forth phone calls, so I paid the balance and transferred to another vision care office. I still did not know why I had to pay out of pocket for the annual eye exam which I had never needed to pay any out-of-pocket balance.

Both my daughter and neighbor recommended you and you exceeded ALL expectations. The unyielding patience and expertise of this place was (and shall be) the talk of my town! Nobody likes to spend money or time on glasses, but this place listened to me and my lifestyle factors (and budget) and I am truly grateful. How refreshing it is to not walk away from a place like this, without regret.

Stop going to the chain stores and embrace your individuality with the help of knowledgeable, personable humans. My light sensitivity and migraines have improved significantly with the help of Dr. Schermer and the great team. I go with their recommendations for frames and lens tints because everytime I receive so many compliments. If you want to get treated as a consumer and get the same look as the masses then that's fine but go to Germantown Vision Care Center if you want a professional and individualized experience.

Small spot, but super friendly staff and doctors! They were able to order my high Rx contact lenses quickly after I told them I ran out. They were easy to communicate over text which made my life easier.

Very professional. Visit time took a little bit over an hour. The eye examiner technician was knowledgeable and she explained every test that she was about to do. Dr. Schuemer explained results of the tests to me in a professional manner and answered all of my questions. Sanitizing of optical equipment was done prior to using. I will recommend this practice to friends and family members.

Fabulous office, efficiently run with modern diagnostic testing equipment. Have been getting my glasses and sunglasses (both prescription bifocals) for several years here. They handle the insurance process and choose flattering frames for my face shape and size. If my eyes don't change too much, they don't try to sell me glasses I don't need. Highly recommend!

Had a truly great experience with Doctor Schermer and his staff. This was my first appointment and will most certainly not be my last. From the phone contact to the office setting, they really have a great team. I will definitely recommend this practice to family and friends. The staff was very knowledgeable and organized, wait time was minimal, the assistant Grace quickly took me through all the screenings, Dr. Schermer did a very thorough eye exam and the man who helped me with getting the glasses wanted at an affordable price.
