This gym sucks. There always trying to get over there members on fees adding additional $2-$3 fees. The steam room is always broken and the pool is hardly ever cleaned the hot tub is lime green colored. If going to onelife go to Rockville ONLY!!

I’ve been to this place a few times and I will tell you my experience. Pros and cons.4 stars for 4 reasons1. Good staff and workers that work here! Nice and engaging.2. Nicely kept clean facility and you’ll almost never come across and equipment that is out of order.3. Equipment is not the best but definitely not the worse I’ve use and I’ve been to many gym in my lifetime. Pretty standard bench press, dumbbells and equipment.4. This place is small but packs a punch! It has a pool (small but it works), steam room and sauna which is super cool! A lot of gyms typically only have a sauna.Minus 1 star because the lighting is terrible and could use better light. Another reason deducting the 1 star is because they broke down the basketball court and racket ball to expand the place. It’s good they expanded the place but folks sometimes join gym just for basketball and nothing else!I would recommend the gym and I believe the cost to join is 38-39 per month but I would double check with someone that works there.

It's an old gym, but better than the ones around. It's a shame that they once had two Squash courts that are now being used as fitness areas. There are no Squash courts nearby, and I know a lot of people who either go to Bethesda OneLife, McLean OneLife, Chevy Chase Athletic Club, etc. My advise to management would be to restore these Squash courts back, and they'll see more traffic. The only reason why I come in here is because it's closer to my house. Otherwise, I prefer to go to McLean or Bethesda OneLife which are much larger fitness centers and much cleaner. What I like about Germantown OneLife is that they've Suana and Steam room which isn't available at OneLife Rockville. Other than that, this is an okay gym.

I had a awful experience on this place with an employeer there. I practice my workout since 2019 at planet fitness and decided to try another gym.I was doing my bench press and as I didn't finish, I decided to leave the weights on the bar. Then a employee came and ask to me to remove the weights. I told him I didn't finish yet. He said he had watched me on the cameras. It haven't 10 min!! Then I showed to him others equipments with weights on. Why he didn't ask to another guys to remove the weights? He just said doesn't matter! Remove the weights or get out of here! In front of many people!!Ok my friend you won. I won't be there again and don't recommend this place. I took pictures of the another equipments and thinking in sue the gym. It was disrespectful and shamed.

The staff there is pretty nice! There are a LOT of cardio machines there, so you'll probably never have to wait to use one.All the weight machines seem pretty good! I've never seen one under maintenance. Although I just wish there was a shoulder press and a deltoid raise machine. While I can compensate for them using their heavy weights, I find machines much easier to use and control.

I was a dual(husband) member for 10 years at OLF. In July 2023 I sent an email to OLF stating I was not going to renew my membership. A couple of months later, my American Express credit card was debited $30.00 by OLF for "membership." This occurred twice for a total of $60.00.This concludes either OLF incompetence or OLF duplicitous.I have called, emailed, gone in person to no avail.OLF must refund me the $60.00.

I had walked in to cancel my account back in July 2023, and the front desk staff asked me to only write down my email address and they added it to a list of other emails.Fast forward to October 2023, and I am still being charged for this gym. I have sent multiple emails at this point to Onelife staff to cancel but I am still being charged monthly.

Our family just started going to Onelife Fitness in Germantown and we love it! From the signup with Xavier and the wonderful, sweet ladies in the kids club, ( especially Ms Vernice, Miss Lara and Ms. Alberta) front desk staff and on floor trainers. The personnel in this location have exceptional customer service and make you feel at home. We felt welcome from the beginning. We are always met with a smile and friendly conversation whenever we engage with any of them. They have a variety of great gym equipment and amenities!! Love the sauna, steam room and swimming pool. I can go on and on how much we love our membership. The locker rooms are nice with the blow dryers, dressing rooms and the cleanliness is also a plus ?? the sweet Señoras that clean do such a good job. We have been members of different local gyms but have never been as happy as we are with Onelife Fitness in Germantown as a whole family. From the six of us, we hope we will be members for years to come and we highly recommend this gym if you are in the area. They also are very reasonable with their monthly dues for single or family unit. BEST LOCAL GYM 5 ⭐️s

I just signed up for this gym: If Planet Fitness, Gold’s Gym, and InShape had a baby, this would be the result. God’s gift to the gym community with people of all shapes and sizes comfortable working out.But why the 4/5 stars? It lacks the hours of a 24hr fitness and doesn’t have a smoothie bar. That plus a friendly and fit staff equal gym perfection. I don’t plan on using their personal trainers either, so this is specific to amenities, cleanliness, equipment variety and accessibility. So far, chef’s kiss.

I only signed up for this location due to convenience literally two minute drive from my house. They have a sign in the pool area that there’s no lifeguard and I find this ridiculous. Since there is no accountability, I see patrons going into the pool with every day clothes on and shoes inside the pool. I recently asked one of the staff members on how often they clean the pool because I noticed sand at the bottom of the pool, and the fact that the water color was so dirty and they said they regularly clean it. I washed my swimsuit four times just to get the stench out and there’s nothing wrong with my washing machine or my dryer as it is brand new. the pool area floors are so disgusting. How is it that at a public outdoor community pool is a lot more cleaner than an indoor pool at a gym? You can see lime on the walls of the pool area. Also, since there is no accountability of a lifeguard in the pool area, there’s a sign that says no outdoor shoes can be worn in the sauna… the people walk in into the pool area with every day shoes on and goes into the sauna, whereas people who are in the pool area and they want to go into the sauna we’re asked not to wear any shoes so again very contradicting. I don’t think the staff really cares on how clean their facility is.Furthermore, a lot of the work equipment is pretty sparse out there’s no organization the hip conductor machine faces a window away from other machines. Totally weird. I submitted a formal complaint to the corporate see if they ever respond because it doesn’t look like the corporate really cares either.

It's a nice gym but canceling your membership is difficult. So far I have been charged twice since I canceled.Management would nor talk to me after the first time so I had to have my bank stop payment!Ridiculous! If you don't plan to be a lifetime member don't join.
