I was in the Marine Corps and have been in government service my entire career, and have moved 10s of times. Two Men and a Truck is, by far, the worst moving company I have ever worked with. They were rude, inconsiderate, lazy, and refused to compensate me one cent, despite all of the problems I will list below.
The quote: The salesman was very nice! The quote went great, we scheduled the move, and they were very amicable, despite my short time frame.
The packers: This is where trouble began. They showed up the day before with two young guys who reeked of weed. They had NO idea what they were doing. They just threw things into boxes without wrapping anything. They would say they were done, then I would open a cupboard and it would be full -- they were just trying to hurry up and get out of there. They had no tools to take any mounts down or disassemble any furniture.
I was concerned our home may take two trucks. They ASSURED me that it would only take one truck.
The move: They sent the worst crew I have ever seen. They were lazy, were constantly on smoke breaks, and I ended up moving about 70% of my own stuff into the truck - just to try and get it done. They also showed up without any tools to take apart a single piece of furniture -- I actually had to lend them my tools. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't - they had no idea what they were doing and caused us to throw away an awesome bunkbed because they mangled it so badly.
About halfway through the day, they tell me that they think it's going to take two trucks. I call their operations guy, Eric, and he is outright rude and claims that I have more items than my quote. I count my boxes and items, and it's well under my quote. Eric maintains that I was wrong and that I must've miscounted - it was a disgusting way to treat a customer and I'm blown away that he is in customer service.
We (finally) get to the destination, and the crew completely shuts down. They're lazy and I end up unloading the entire truck -- I literally just put all the boxes in the garage just to get them out of there because they were literally doing nothing. They were bickering and cussing at each other - in front of my 5yo daughter. It was painfully awkward, and they finally left.
I call Eric the next morning. Amazingly, he continues to claim that my items were more than quoted. Despite all of this - including pictures of my items - TWO MEN AND A TRUCK REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME A SINGLE CENT. To this day, they have taken zero responsibility for this embarrassment of a moving service.
The receipt: After the move, I needed a receipt to get reimbursed by my company. Seems simple, right?
It took me a month and 22 emails to get a simple receipt from Two Men and a Truck for my move. First, they sent me a receipt - including credit card number - from some random person that wasn't me. I let them know that, and they continue to not be able to send me an itemized receipt. Finally, weeks later, they admit that the moving crew incorrectly charged me at the end of the move and they were not able to give me an itemized receipt. Luckily, my company accepted an email from Two Men and a Truck just stating: "XXXX paid XXXX for the purpose of moving with Two Men and a Truck". It's 2024, and I'm blown away that is what we had to resort to.
Of all my moves, this is by far the worst.

Chris and Aaron were fantastic. Could not ask for better, they really cared about getting our things where they needed to go. Everyone involved in our move was great. Would absolutely recommend.

The Customer Service In the operations office from Terry was outstanding!! She was accommodating to multiple changes that I had to make and was so sweet and kind every time we talked on the phone! The movers were also very kind and respectful of Both my friends at the pick up location, Me during the drop off, and of the antique furniture they were delivering! I will certainly be using their services again in the future!

I hired Two Men and a Truck to help move furniture and stuff out of storage and into our new house. They damage lots of things during the move. Items like furniture, glasses that were carefully bubbles wrapped, lamps, photos frames on wall, propane grill and lot of others items that cannot be replaced got damaged. They deliberately let the boxes dropped out of their hands when they placed them in the room. One night stand they sat upside down on asphalt and ruined the top as they were unloading other stuff out of the truck. And let a electric fireplace fall and get damaged because they sat the fireplace sideways after dropping it off. The estimate they provideed was way off. I provide them exact dimensions of the storage unit and total of item to move but they underestimate and had to make two trips to storage to pickup the rest of the remaining items. And charge me a lot extra for the second trip. Overall a terrible experience. I wish I called another company for the move.

I've used moving companies in the past and was somewhat satisfied had a few broken things and they didn't listen to my specifications on what I wanted. We recently moved from Maryland to Pittsburgh and I had seen Two Men and a truck and decided to give them a call it was a pleasure using them not only was the price reasonable but they talked to us throughout the whole move they were on time and listen to every detail that we asked of them they had us loaded and unloaded in a matter of a day was hard to believe that it was actually two men and a truck not one item was broken or missed placed the put everything where it needed to be I have to say the two young gentleman that moved us really new what they were up for and did it well I couldn't thank them enough for the great job that they did and I would highly recommend two men in a truck to anyone we know that are moving ??

Horrible customer service. They put us on the schedule for a move, just to call the day of to cancel and tell us to find another moving company. They didn’t even try to rebook us. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY !!!!!!

Very unprofessional while booking. The customer service is horrible. I could hear people in the background talking about their “plans” for the weekend. I am extremely disturb and will not do business. Pretty sure 5 star reviews are fake.

Our experience was great. The guys were friendly and made sure we knew their names. They were fast and very careful with all my stuff. I had a grandfather’s clock that is pretty special that they took great care of and even moved it twice. Great guys. Will use you again and recommend to friends and family. Thank you.

I am absolutely furious with the unprofessionalism of this company. I received a call **last night** confirming that movers would arrive at my apartment today, **October 1st**, between 12-4 PM. However, at 2 PM today, I got a call informing me there had been a “mishap” with the system, and my move wasn’t even scheduled. The icing on the cake was the “operations manager” telling me AT THE LAST MINUTE that I should find another moving company.
This kind of disorganization is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere for a more reliable and professional moving company!!!!!
