Visited this location several times. Encountered employee Cody E at the customer service desk twice. Each time Cody has been blatantly nasty. I approached the front desk with a friendly greeting. Cody responds with “yes”. It is very clear that Cody doesn’t want to deal with people of color or people in general. Perhaps a revisit of customer service training would be helpful!

Not a bad store. Seen some food safety concerns. Women in deli not wearing a hat or hair net. As some one who works in food my self… need to have higher standards for food prep. Sloppy signage as well. I must say though Joesph at the register is very nice and well accommodating.

This was our first time trying out Safeway and it was rotten and disgusting food. The rude service will guarantee WE NEVER GO BACK HERE!!! Save yourself the trouble and go to Giant. The refusal to offer a simple credit was not only surprising but shocking.

I love Safeway I have been shopping there since it opened. The produce manager Darlene is the kindest person if you can't find it her and her staff will let you know if they have it. The cashier's are also very nice and thoughtful.

Went to Safeway in Gambrills to get groceries. I needed the disposable salt and pepper for my lunches for work. But when I checked out, salt spilled on the self checkout scanner. Got home and salt was everywhere. Looked more closely and there was a hole in the top of the disposable salt. I had to throw both away for fear of being poisoned.

The paper bag thing is annoying. I asked for some to purchase and the young man MADE SURE he entered all eight bags in for me. I guess he thought I wouldn’t have done it myself ( I could have did it myself ?)… we all don’t need to steal ?

I was there at 8pm tonight with a cart full of groceries & there was not one single line with one single cashier open. It was ridiculous. Apparently it’s self check out only at night.
If I didn’t desperately need some food, I would have left my whole cart.
It is very difficult to scan a whole entire cart of stuff- some of it big & heavy- by yourself.
I feel sorry for the elderly customers that have to go through that because the incompetency of this store.

Staff is friendly. However, management seems to be lacking. Placed an online pickup for Monday pickup at 5pm. I didn't need anything on that list for dinner that night, so I didn't press it when I never received a notification it was ready. I was fine waiting until Tuesday. Received a message Monday night around 8pm that they couldn't fill my order and to reschedule my order. So, I did. For the following day at 5pm. The following day comes and 6:00 is here with no communication. I decided to call and they said their evening employee scheduled never showed. Their morning did however. Why didn't they fill my order? So... here I am with nothing but "our employee never showed, and your order isn't filled. So, I don't know what to tell you." Those were her literal words. Why isn't management involved???Extremely disappointed. I'll be going to Giant moving forward.

What happen to the hand baskets?? First off you are charging for bags, when, technically in Arundel county by law, you are supposed to give bags to customers that forget theirs up till February 1, when they technically should start paying for them when forgetting their bag. But you slow down the whole process of checking out because now you have to find a clerk hope they have bags around and on top of that you're loading and unloading twice to ring up. I mean I remember back in day when you had paper bags then you switch to plastic cause it was cheaper and lines your pocket with money saved. You didn't have foresight to see it would ruin environment?! But back to paper and this time let's make people pay for our mistake in the first place. So my question is why aren't you offering the free bags to people up till February 1 and what happened to all the hand baskets in the store because I've heard multiple people complaining not liking the cart because it slows them down? There are no hand baskets in Gambrills store . Making more of hassle for people who don't need a huge cart, so now u will run out of carts cause everyone has to use no matter if u get three things or 100 .
