Great little farm! They had a great selection of pumpkins- in good shape and lots of variety. The prices were fair. They also had chickens to see and some photo spots set up

We recently visited Doepkens Farm for a fun fall outing, eager to support a local business instead of heading to the larger Montpelier Farm like we usually do. We were excited to purchase items and take photos, enjoying the beautiful scenery and festive atmosphere.
However, our experience took a negative turn when the owner confronted us about our camera. While we were simply trying to capture the joy of the day, he demanded that we stop taking photos. It was puzzling, especially since we noticed other guests snapping pictures without issue. When we inquired further, he insisted that we needed to pay $50 for the privilege of taking photos on his property.
We complied, feeling somewhat bewildered by the situation. The cashier seemed confused as well, asking the owner about the charge and how to process it. This led us to believe that this wasn’t a common practice at the farm, which only added to our frustration.
Even after paying the amount he requested, the owner continued to justify his reaction, explaining that his business needed to make money. While we understand the challenges of running a business, his approach felt more confrontational than professional. It was disheartening to be treated this way, especially as we were there to enjoy the local experience and support the farm.
We left feeling targeted and disappointed by the owner's demeanor. Communication is key in any business, and a more respectful approach would go a long way.
We hope this review serves as constructive feedback for the owner, as well as a heads-up for others considering a visit. There are plenty of welcoming farms out there, and we hope to find one that values its customers’ experience.

We went to get UT orange mums. There were chickens to see and a cat to chase. We didn't see the sign that saidPlease do not climb on pumpkins and we were trying to get a cute.picture of our grandson with the giant pumpkins, but the workers/ owners did not seem annoyed with us and let.us enjoy our visit.

Absolutely LOVED this place! Any negative reviews about the owners were completely exaggerated. Everyone was all smiles, friendly helpful and all around extremely kind. The area was super cute and well presented. Both around the buildings and inside the show room. The selection was IMPRESSIVE and their prices were very reasonable to honestly surprisingly low on some items! There were animals everywhere including many friendly cats that were just walking around!10/10 or in this case 5* for this place, we will definitely be back!If I had to be critical and pick one downside, it's that you can't go out into the patch and pick a pumpkin from the field, but they had so many amazing high quality pumpkins all over the place to choose from that honestly, we didn't even care. It was a great experience ?

My husband and I and our daughters and their families have been coming to Doepkens Farm for 15 years or so. The place is a step back in time-- to beautiful fields of flowers or mums and the quaint shop that is filled with bouquets of flowers to purchase. Sunflowers and wild field flowers fill the fields in the summer and mums in the Fall. During the Christmas time, the shop is filled with scents of evergreens, wreaths, swags, garland and awesome arrangements. He will also do special orders for you. Bill has done flowers for both our daughters' weddings and several friends. He is a creative and imaginative individual and his farm and flowers reflect this.

The owner of this place was EXTREMELY rude and threatening. Called this place at least 3 times and left a voicemail about taking some photos there before coming, of course got no answer. Once I arrived I asked a lady if it was okay and she did say photography wasn’t allowed in the shop area but outside would be okay if we weren’t in the way of customers. As I was photographing a couple this “man” came over demanding to leave the property and that I was taking advantage of his business (in front of his customers I might add.) My clients were planning to purchase pumpkins and mums after their session but that obviously was an immediate no. As a photographer I understand there are rules, fees and times to use a property that I do not mind following but the way he went about it was all wrong and just flat out rude and disgusting.

My partner and I had been looking for places to go this fall and we are very happy we picked this place-- where it is family friendly its much more adult and less child focused than the other options nearby. Beautiful farm with lots of gorgeous pumpkins and fall flowers! So many different varieties of pumpkins and gourds it was hard to choose. As well as an outdoor selection, they have an indoor section with smaller pumpkins, art, dried flowers, apples and even sell fresh eggs. The animals nearby were an additional added bonus-- we saw some chicken, some cows and tens of the most adorable little barn cats.We talked to the owner a bit who is a very friendly man, he also does flowers for events which I will keep in mind for the future as both the fresh mums, assorted fresh and dried arrangements were just lovely. They accept cash, check and card (additional 3% charge). Parking was not difficult but must be done mindfully due to somewhat limited space as its a small location-- just be careful for all the cats!Could not recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back!

I absolutely love Doepkens Farms. They are family owned and always have a beautiful selection of flowers. Since it’s fall they also have a huge selection of different kinds of pumpkins, squash, apples and mums for the fall. Tim is super knowledgeable and helpful. I definitely recommend stopping by especially if need to brighten up your (or a friend’ s) table with these beautiful and unique bouquets!
