I recently took my car to Winkler Automotive and, man, am I impressed! Booked an appointment on their website and got in the very next day. I left my car at 7:30 in the morning, and by 3:30, they were all done. They did a ton of work...new brake pads and rotors, brake fluid flush and replace, coolant refresh, and even managed to get out a super stripped oil drain pan nut before doing an oil change. They did all this and finished everything $200 under the quote they initially gave me! The quality of the work is top-notch, and the value unbeatable. As long as I live in the area, I expect I'll be bringing my cars in to Winkler... highly recommend!Services: General repairs & maintenance

Absolute 5-star service. My 2013 Honda Civic is being properly maintained and running well thanks to the Winkler Auto service. I always love getting the courtesy inspection service whenever engine oil change is done and a ride back to home after the car drop off. Please keep up the good customer service.I changed rear brake pads, coolant hose and other major parts here. Service costs are reasonable to me.A special shoutout to Mary for explaining all the issues in the inspection report clearly and identifying safety issues with high priorities to fix.

I had my state inspection done here. The staff was really nice and informative. They were upfront about what my car needed and about the cost as well. I will definitely keep using this spot for all future repairs!

I brought my car in and Winkler identified several issues that were needing repair. Saul and i discussed my desire for them to work primarily on safety issues, and he was very forthright with telling me what he felt was necessary and what could wait, which I really appreciated. The work could not be completed in timely way through fault of my old car, so loaner was offered. The staff kept me informed every step of the way.Thanks to Saul and Mary. I'm sorry I do not know the names of the other staff who worked on the car.The work was done well, and communication was excellent. They even followed up after I got the car back. I so appreciate staff and ownership being responsible and caring about the customer's satisfaction.

I had brought my car to Winkler after going somewhere else (rhymes with Shmister Smire ???) and not feeling confident of their diagnostic process. I am not mechanically inclined at all and heavily rely on others to help me figure stuff out. Well, I had called here and spoke to Mary to explain my situation to which she said “it sounds like they’re giving you the runaround” regarding the other place, and that instantly created a sense of safety that Winkler would take care of me. So I brought my car in for them to look at the starter, as that was the issue, and they did a full diagnostic assessment to verify/confirm it wasn’t anything else causing the issue of course. Once completed they found a few things that were original to the car like radiator hoses, oil pan leak, and did a few fluid flushes. Once I got the car back I could not believe how wonderfully it drove, the car is from 2015 so I wasn’t expecting much, but holy cow!!! 10/10 recommend this place, for someone to be not at all mechanically inclined, I felt like I was not taken advantage of and they did the work needed without trying to sell me a bunch of work or costing an arm and a leg. They also gave me their technet warranty plan which if I’m understanding correctly is something mechanics just don’t do anymore, they don’t warranty their work, but winkler does!

Excellent, Honest Service. I have been using Winkler for all my service needs for more than 15 years. The staff at Winkler are very friendly and accommodating. Many times, I cannot wait for my vehicle (or don't want to). They are always happy to give me a ride and pick me up when my vehicle is done. The owner, Karim, has even given me a ride. You won't find that kind of service most places.Winkler comes through again. I took my vehicle in for transmission repairs. The staff informed me that my transmission would need to be replaced. Since this is an older car, and probably not worth the replacement (they even suggested so), I asked if they had any information on how to get rid of it. They suggested donating the car to Vehicles for Change and even volunteered to make the arrangements and keep my car there until it could be picked up. As always, Winkler provides service above and beyond what would normally be expected. Thanks for wonderful service!

Friendly local automotive shop with very friendly staff and transparent vehicle inspection reports. The inspection reports are detailed and include pictures of YOUR car which is increasing helpful to see how bad something is rather than hear about it. I have worked with George and Mary and have never left disappointed. Additionally, there was one instance in which a CV axle boot that was replaced at this shop was having problems without my knowledge. It was only caught when I brought the car back for regular maintenance where Winker Automotive caught it, owned it with no excuses, and fixed it free of charge with no hassle. They also offer discounts to regulars. Any time you bring the car in, it will get a vehicle inspection report as well (including oil changes) which is amazing. This is a nice and clean spot to take your car. Dennis is a great mechanic, he is a winning member there. Their pricing is a little more than other shops but you get what you pay for.

It is absolutely stunning that an auto shop like this can rack up such favorable reviews on google. This shop makes an excellent case for why google reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. What auto shop would return a vehicle to its customer with a disconnected anti-freeze hose after working on the coolant system. What they did literally ruined my car. Don't be tricked by the favorable reviews. Stay away from this shop.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This is my third experience with Winkler and it’s was an amazing customer service experience. I got to them after a bad experience with another auto and I thank my stars for finding them. Every of the 3 experiences have been extremely rewarding. The first visit was for replacement of rear struts that was done nicely despite me on an international trip because of their customer focused technology enabled system. On this recent experience, my car had scheduled replacement of timing belt and the staff did an excellent job of keeping me informed of progress, transparently owning up and taking full and complete responsibility for an issue/complication that ensued with the repairs and ensuring I had a loner car for the entire duration the repair took. George made regular calls to update me on progress and generally check on on how things are going with the loner. I have nothing but gratitude for the customer focused service. If you are looking for a professional, customer centered auto repair shop in the Montgomery County area, try them and you won’t regret it.Services: Tires

I have had nothing but great experiences with Winkler. They have provided multiple services for my car and it has been running great. Additionally, I wanted to highlight George's work at the front desk. He has always been incredibly courteous, helpful, and supportive with any problem my car had. I have taken my green "Pony car" to Winkler several times over the last two years and have not been disappointed. On one occasion, a nearby alternative shop wanted to replace my whole rear axle to eliminate a grinding noise. Winkler instead used a stethoscope to isolate the source of the noise and then replaced the bearings that were the cause. And twice I have had annoying rattles and Winkler found the sources of them and remedied them. Good communication, professional staff, modern trouble shooting and diagnosis skills.
