AVOID THIS UPS STORE - extremely poor customer service.Because this UPS store is close to my home, and I ship UPS at least 2-3 days/week, I’ve used this location several times in the last month. The customer service is *consistently* bad. The staff is quite rude. They’re often just standing around either chatting or staring out the windows and taking their time to approach the counter and assist customers. I’ve seen packages on the counter (not my own) flung across the area behind the counter. And the top offense, making people pay $5 for a piece of tape. And please don’t give me the “we use high quality supplies.” You’re gouging customers for tape, and it’s unnecessary. I’ve had UPS PO Boxes in other places, used UPS store services in a variety of states and cities, and never once have I been charged for putting tape on a box. Additionally, I’m not even sure that the Amazon return procedure is being correctly followed with the requirement of a taped/sealed Amazon return before it can be scanned. Either way, the UPS store (#4234) @ Goshen Oaks Shopping At Goshen Road And Snouffer School Road 20203 Goshen Rd Gaithersburg, MD 20879 has poor customer service, and I recommend you avoid.

I dropped off a USPS package here (as I have done many times before), but the employee seemed completely distracted and stared past me when I set down my package for a solid 30 seconds. I should have trusted my gut and left as while I received a receipt, my package has gone missing and the shipping has not updated (tracking says awaiting shipment). I went back to the store to see what could have happened, and they tried to say because it was a UPS store, it’s not their responsibility as it was a USPS package. I’ve never had an issue shipping USPS packages from this store, but will not be returning to ship UPS packages let alone USPS.

I was excited to find a UPS store closer to work than the one I had been frequenting. Mistake. My driver went to this store to return an Amazon package, and the only thing I did not do was tape the box closed. The lady at the counter did give us the option to purchase tape or be charged $5 for them to tape the box. I am just shocked at the cost for 1 piece of tape. In our business customer service is everything.. small gestures keep our customers returning. No wonder there are so many poor reviews for this location.

Horrible customer service, smashed packages, extremely poor packaging and flat out refused to reimburse me for my damaged goods. Do not recommend. FedEx is nearby.

I went there for my US Passport photo and the service was excellent. The Team Member was very helpful and I got through quickly.

Went there to ship a business letter on Friday before Christmas, that had to arrive a few days before the New Year. An extremely helpful, tall, dark and handsome gentleman assisted me and found the best price to get the letter there in time. Have always found the staff pleasant and they get it done.

The customer services is unbelievable this is crazy. Sergio is so rude act like he is in a gang or something giving people looks yelling like he owns the place. UPS you can do better!!!

I've been coming by this store for years and i just found out that Riley quit. It's a shame honestly because the store was doing so good with him there. Beside the service being good, the boss who hires people there treats them POORLY and does not give them their money once they leave. I will definitely be taking this up with HR soon.

Used store 4234 for picking packages. No charges for a good while. Then suddenly charged $5. Today was shocking $20 charge just to pick up my package. I’m saving your trucks gas and time not to drive to my house! In return I feel like I’m getting ripped off by bad inconsistent management for handling a package. I will never use UPS services again. Likely there’s a competition. Just ridiculous…..

Returning an Amazon package and I failed to see the “customer packed” part. Didn’t get their names but this was at 5:40pm on Tuesday 9/26/23 so to the woman and gentleman who was working during this shift, Ty for your patience. They didn’t give me a hard time about me not doing my part and they took care of me.

The level of service leaves much to be desired.1. During the process of arranging the shipment of important documents, the employee made mistakes and got distracted by conversations with colleagues, which does not inspire confidence in their competence.2. After receiving the tracking number, I found that it did not appear in the system even after 6 hours.3. When I tried to clarify the situation over the phone, I was asked to wait on the line, after which the employee placed the phone next to the receiver and started chatting with colleagues, ignoring my request. This scenario repeated three times when I called.4. It is unclear where my documents are, whether they will be sent, and why the tracking number is not appearing in the system. I was unable to get answers to these questions.

Very poor customer service. Went I went there to return an Amazon package I was told that the system was down. Second visit, there was no power. Every time I tried to contact the store by calling the store phon enumber, somebody in India answered the phone and said that they couldn't help me. Why can't the store staff answer the phone, the least they can do to to help a customer. So frustrating.

Horrible- no experienced staff or support available. I placed a print order online (Wed) to be picked up Friday. I forgot until Saturday. When I went to pickup they didn’t have it/ were unable to “access the system” to print but never contacted me. They attempted to reach out to the store owner but they were not getting responses in order to help this situation. Today (Monday) the order has still not been printed and this magical wizard of an owner continues to be unavailable to staff or customer support in order to issue my refund (as I cannot wait around on this issue and had to place same print order at Staples instead). Unacceptable. Ups store support is unavailable as this is a franchise.
