first time here at Tara nails and it was great!! i just moved to this area so i had trouble finding a good place and this place is great! very clean nice atmosphere. Mala did my nails and finished with an amazing wax! Vary is very nice and so is the receptionist. i recommend this beautiful place to anyone especially new in the area! i will be back

I had a regrettable experience with a nail technician named Vary. Initially, my first visit went smoothly, but my last two visits were marked by a concerning incident. Despite being respectful and clear in my requests, I encountered a problem when I asked if she could execute a specific nail design. I repeatedly emphasized that it was perfectly fine if she couldn't, and we could opt for something simpler.However, when I observed that the design wasn't meeting my expectations and politely communicated this to her, she raised her voice loudly, drawing the attention of everyone in the salon. It seemed that Vary may have been feeling insecure, embarrassed, or ashamed, but this in no way justified her treatment of me.I sensed her remorse because she later offered a free wax dipping service. Nonetheless, I have decided not to return. I believe I've given her three chances in total. I share this experience as a warning to others who may consider visiting the salon. It might be wise to try the services of the other two nail technicians or bring this matter to the attention of the salon owner, as there appears to be a customer service issue with certain team members like Vary. No one should have to endure yelling when they are being patient and considerate, merely expressing their preferences and expectations.

I love ❤️ Tara Nail. Very clean and they know what they are doing from French manicure to gel nail. Oh Vary did an excellent job with nail designs. I high recommend you to ask for Vary is you like designs. ? keep up the good work!!

Today, what was supposed to be a relaxing mother/daughter bonding experience turned into one of the worst customer experiences for my poor 70-year-old mother.Her nail tech (she did not even have the courtesy to share her name) provided terrible service. She was rough and aggressive on my mother's feet, rude, and unwilling to receive real-time customer feedback. On many occasions, my mother tried to voice that the treatment was too rough, and the worker ignored her. Instead, she spent her time neglecting her requests.It got so bad that I stepped in and requested that my technician help my mom instead. I also pulled in the manager, but she did nothing to resolve the issue. Thankfully, Bee, who was doing my pedicure, agreed to stop working on mine and stepped in to complete my elderly mother's pedicure. Patient and gentle, she treated my mom very well. Her excellent service may have saved the situation.Unfortunately, however, her co-worker continued to disturb the ambiance by talking brashly across the room, standing over a customer for minutes while the manager was finishing her manicure, and at some point, claiming someone had stolen from her at another nail salon. Her behavior was unprofessional and inappropriate.As a result of her actions, I left the salon with no pedicure, and what should have been a special treat, relaxing self-care, for my mother and I turned out to be a stressful and unpleasant experience.I will most definitely never return to Tara Nails in Gaithersburg, MD ever again.Service: Pedicure
