FRAUD! Do NOT do business with this company! They will tell you everything you want to hear, then delay your move for weeks, break your stuff, steal your things and then blame it on COVID. They will promise you reimbursement but never reply. What a fraud. Sharon is very nice and convincing but don't fall for their scam. STAY AWAY!!!

Pick up for my daughter at her apartment in Maryland went fairly well and the movers wore the appropriate PPE which was important to us for health and safety. Delivery was another story. My daughter relocated to Atlanta alone for graduate school and we (her dad and mom) were not able to be there with her upon delivery. The lead guy STEVE was a j*** from the beginning....talking over my daughter and not listening even when she was trying to tell him the best way to park the truck near the loading dock for access. When she asked whether the two movers would wear PPE, he replied they can't breathe with masks on and the company changed their policy. I had my wife call the corporate office and they confirmed what STEVE said....problem is WE were never informed that the policy had changed since we signed a contract with those expectations. STEVE then went on to complain to my daughter that he would not place the rug under the couch because once he puts the rug down he is not moving it again. STEVE refused to move some of the boxes that were brought in so that my daughter could get the item number and check them off. Remember she is alone and STEVE show no customer service or empathy towards her.....maybe because that is the way he treats young females who are alone. STEVE somehow came up with a charge of 150 dollars for "long carry." While I knew there could be a charge for carrying distances in excess of 100 feet, I did not know that STEVE was born with an automatic measuring tape in his head that could calculate exact distances to charge customers. When I had my daughter complain about the exact distance, he brought the price down 20 bucks because he didn't have change on him. He offered to take the money and bring the change back, but I am sure STEVE never would have been seen again with her change, so I told my daughter not to give him any money without a receipt and even exchange of money owed. I am sure that STEVE and his sidekick FREDDY (who didn't say much) were able to afford a decent meal with the 140 dollars my daughter eventually paid for an ultimate discount of 10 dollars with this rip off scheme. If you value dealing with respectful, honest, helpful, customer service oriented and a lead mover who is not a j*** to young women, this is not the company for you....or at least stay away from STEVE if there will not be a man at the moving location. Request another moving person who is not a j**** On top of that, some of her furniture was damaged and being a veteran of numerous moves, I understand that this normally happens but let's see what type of customer service we receive when we file a claim.

I'd give a zero if I could. Canceled my move with less than 48hrs before my move date. They didn't even bother to cal until after 7pm, by which time all other companies are closed for the evening, leaving me 24hrs to find a new company or be homeless. No sympathy or compassion whatsoever. No offer to work with my circumstances, pay for a hotel, reschedule the move once the truck is fixed - NOTHING. Their solution? Find a new company. When I asked if they'd pay the difference in price (you know, since I booked this rate MONTHS ago when it was off season rates), they said no, that's not their business practice. After voicing my complaints, I was just told that at least 10 other people have been put in the same situation by this canceling. When I suggested that Suburban hire another company to do the job they already committed to, I was again told that that's not their business practice. Apparently trying to stick to their word and come through for their customers is also not in suburban's business practice. Best of all, after having already put down a deposit on the move (you know, when I booked it months ago because unlike this company I don't do things last minute), I was told that I'd get it refunded, but they couldn't even guess when or how long it would take to get it back. Awesome. After a lengthy convo going round and round about their lack of commitment, I was told a manager would be calling me. You'd think that after screwing me over this badly they'd at least have the courtesy to call me this evening, right?? Nope. No call. No email. No care or consideration whatsoever shown for the customer. What a joke of a company.
