Went to see Brooke for a Ouidad cut. I am so picky about who I let cut my hair because I have very fine curls (and extremely long hair on top of that) that frizz and tangle very easily. She did an absolutely amazing job! I am definitely going to be a regular customer from this point on.

My experience was an anxious and frustrating one. Before the haircut, I showed the owner/hairdresser a picture of the style I wanted to leave the salon with and I told her I wanted a haircut and styling. She asked me questions on length and cuts and talked about other haircuts as she began to cut my hair. What took me by surprise was when she said she was done, my hair was still damp and frizzy and curly on the inside and the stylist said she was finished. I received a totally different haircut than the picture and it looked like I blow dried it for 5 minutes after a shower. I asked her what happened to the style I wanted and she let me know that that type of styling is extra on top of the "styling" she already did. It as if she was trying to convince me to leave it as is. I had no intention of leaving without paying despite getting the complete opposite of what I asked for. I paid and the I came back, and I asked for a refund. The owner/hairdresser said she asked me questions about how I wanted my hair and that led to a different haircut and that it must have been a misunderstanding. I told her I'm unsatisfied and I want a refund. she said she did the service and she worked hard so she will not return my money. I told her I have to pay more to another salon to fix what she did and all she said is shell add what i wanted to my hair but she'll have to charge me. I told her to keep the money. unfortunatel, I have to live with her lack of quality for months and she'll spend my money and forget about me. I will not be going back to this lady or location. Customer satisfaction and quality is not her priority and making me solely responsible for not receiving my outcome is poor professionalism. This was my experience and it was a terrible one. My hair is 5 inches shorter and uneven. I had to go out that night and I had to make a ponytail because if I left my hair like the hairdresser had me leave the salon it would be like I just got out of bed. I had a ball of damp hair in the back of my head that I had to flatten.

This was my first appointment with Brooke for a Ouidad cut. She was wonderful. We spent some time together reviewing my hair, its curl pattern and my desires. I have very fine hair that will become frizzy if not cut correctly. I absolutely love this haircut. Brooke definitely knows how to cut curly hair. An added bonus was that we had a great conversation while she did the cut. I highly recommend Brooke for those with curly hair. She definitely knows what she is doing.

Had a deep conditioning, cut and blow dry. Also only customer so had the place all to myself with Brooke the hairstylist. Very pleased with all services. Great experience!

I have been growing out my hair over the last three years and as my hair is graying I've been playing around with bleaching and toning by another salon (that I love!!) , but after over $600 spent in two visits with my hair actually turning a blue/green color (and being told that it's going to take a couple more visits), I opted to visit a dear friend and excellent stylist/owner here at Salon Red. It's not a super convenient location for me (which is partly why I quit going in 2011) but Morty is the first hairstylist I fully trusted to do anything he wants with my hair and he is the master of a short technical cut. I crossed my fingers and called the store, but an answering machine came on, and as I was getting anxious with sort of a last minute request, I left a couple of messages. About three hours later I got a text from Morty himself and he said he was free for whatever time that day! Yay!!! anyway- I cut off that whole mess and am now so happy with my short hair cut! I think I will be growing out again- I do this about every 5 years, but am looking forward to my next visit with Morty! As an aside, the business has been very much downsized (physical space and staff) but I am glad to have Morty to all myself!

I asked for a dusting and they chopped off way too much, gave me a yucky old fashioned hair cut tried to sell me low rated products that weren't even suited for my hair type. Worst of all was their attitude as soon as I even walked in, like they were some kind of high end LA salon, the vibe of the place was just weird and unfriendly. Never again, I finally grew it back to it's original length.

Worst of all was their attitude as soon as I even walked in, like they were some kind of high end LA salon, the vibe of the place was just weird and unfriendly. Never again, I finally grew it back to it's original length.
