I have never set foot inside what I call a 'pawn shop' as those places never seemed to be reputable establishments - but when I got the call from my friend Seth that I might want to check out one he had in stock, I was intrigued and visited First Cash Jewelry & Exchange to check it out. The condition and, most importantly, the price of the item was perfect for me. Seth made my visit easy and personable. “I grew up in Fox Chapel which is the closest neighborhood to them and started dealing with them at the age of 18 and now I'm 50 and have only dealt with them let's say 5 two 6 times throughout that. But I can say that the couple things that I have purchased from them have been absolutely incredible and extremely well priced recently two and a half weeks ago got a extremely good guitar from them that I absolutely love was in perfect condition and let's just say I got it for an unbelievable price. And have a amp that I put on layaway that I'm picking up tomorrow that was $75 and they gave to me for $45. So they had no problem working with me on price. Love it there! I guess if I had to pick out one thing that I didn't like too much about it is they no longer have the inventory that they used to have and that's kind of disappointing. But other than that I'll go there first every time”

“The person I dealt with (Pearce) was quite friendly and helpful. I was a bit hesitant about coming here after reading the bad reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. I pawned a 2010 Fender American Standard Stratocaster, and while I didn't get as much for it as I would have liked, on balance I thought the offer was reasonable. I told him that I have some other items ( particularly automotive memorabilia), and he said to bring them in, and he would check the values. Altogether, while not totally pleasant, since I love the guitar and hated to see it go, they made the experience as painless as possible. At least, I pawned it rather than selling it to them, so I hopefully can redeem it.”
