We utilized Harvy’s team at Mistival for a kitchen renovation and couldn’t have been happier with the end result. The plan was to complete the kitchen in 4-5 weeks, but due to his teams hard work and some luck, it was completed in 2 weeks. The communication was great throughout and any minor issues were addressed immediately. We will definitely will work with them in the future and encourage anybody looking for an honest, true professional to utilize their services!

Harvey and his crews have laid floors for us twice. Each time was a pleasure. On time, reasonable price, great finished product! Very professional at every level. I’m getting ready to have them do a third room now.

I was replacing the wall to wall carpeting in two floors of my house with waterproof hardwood. I did the project in two phases where the furniture for each floor was moved into an on-site storage unit for the duration of the installation. I found Mistival from their outstanding online reviews and because I needed to work with a contractor who would allow me to supply my own flooring, since the brand of flooring I was using is not commonly available in my area and I was purchasing it from a supplier in another state. Harvey from Mistival came out right away to talk about my plan for doing the installation in two phases and to take measurements so I could order the correct amount of flooring for each phase and also for my kitchen, which I plan to do later. He gave me a very reasonable estimate for the installation and outlined everything that would be needed so I could order my flooring and know what to expect for the installation. My driveway slopes downhill and the flooring was going to be delivered on a pallet at the curb, so Harvey had his crew come over to move it into the garage when it arrived. They also came over to move the flooring for each phase of the installation into my house after the furniture was moved out. This was a complicated schedule, and Harvey came through for me each time. The actual installations went very well, the installation crews were outstanding and the finishing touches like the shoe molding and transition pieces all came out beautifully. I’m planning to use Mistival for my kitchen and hallway when it’s time to do that project, as I couldn’t be happier with Mistival and their wonderful work!

We contacted Harvey with Mistival late in the spring to pursue a remodel of our outdated kitchen. We wanted estimates from multiple places. Harvey was by far the most enthusiastic and attentive in the bidding process. He came in with the best price of the three bids, and offered the best combination of competence and price. From there, Harvey did a fantastic job walking us through the best way to achieve what we wanted (removing a peninsula that cut off the breakfast nook; converting a large, outdated pantry- that used to be used for a washer/dryer- into a coffee bar area; installing some floating shelves). Harvey also pointed us to counter and cabinet vendors that had exactly what we wanted for our new look. Even when we came up with ideas during the renovation beyond the scope of what we originally talked about, Harvey was very accommodating. The Mistival crew did a fantastic job, working as quickly as they could. When we noticed a few smaller issues during the renovation, Harvey and his crew were very fast in getting it corrected as quickly as they could, even with some supply chain issues. Overall, we were very impressed, we're very happy with our new kitchen, and I'm glad to recommend Mistival.

It was time to update our sad 1980's kitchen, and after getting some less than great and sort of sketchy estimates, I decided to come to Yelp for recommendations. I found Mistival, with an impressive 5-star rating, and sent them a message. Harvey got back to me so quickly and set up a free estimate ASAP. He was very straight forward, you could tell he knew what he was doing, and didn't use any of those pushy or bizarre sales techniques some larger companies do. We got a great quote from him and put down our deposit. We'd heard about long wait times for cabinets/supplies, but everything actually came quickly and we were ready to begin in a matter or weeks. We did new flooring, new cabinets, backsplash, granite counter tops, added an island, and totally redid the existing pantry area. They have a great granite supplier with some really nice options. The crew worked so hard and showed up daily unless we were waiting on a part. They always made sure to keep everything very clean and did amazing work. People were shocked when I told them our kitchen was completely finished in about three weeks...maybe even less! Harvey was so responsive and easy to contact throughout the whole process, which is so important in keeping a home renovation as stress-free as possible. Everything looks amazing and I highly recommend Mistival. We'll definitely be contacting them when it's time for some bathroom renovations.

I received quotes from five different companies and not only was Mistival very reasonable, they were one of the only companies that really understood my vision and didn't try to talk me out of it because it was going to be a little more labor intensive. More than one other company was a little scared off by all of the cutting that my hexagon tile was going to need and tried to suggest that I just install subway tile, (because it would be easier) but Harvey and his team had a can-do attitude which I really appreciated. The project took a little longer than anticipated due to the shape of the tile and my space and all of the cutting involved, but the Mistival team showed up on time everyday with a smile. I appreciated that they took the extra time to do it right. They were also extremely tidy, using drop cloths all over the house and cleaning up at the end of everyday. The final results are exactly what I was hoping for! I cannot recommend Mistival enough!Service: Tile work installation

I contacted Harvey in October 2020 to refinish our downstairs level, the staircase and replace the upstairs flooring and his was very prompt and professional in all of his responses. We had Harvey and his team remove carpet from the den and then tooth-in the new oak planks so that it blended seamlessly with the existing planks. They sanded everything down and stained it Provincial. You cannot even tell where the old wood ends and the new wood begins- it's a PERFECT match. We get so many compliments on these floors. I honestly couldn't be happier with their work and professionalism. We changed our minds multiple times and requested to look at many samples after they sanded everything down. Harvey treated us with patience and understanding and the result in our home is something that we absolutely love. Cannot recommend Mistival enough!Service: Remodeling

We recently hired Mistival to do a complete shower pan demo and repair due to a leak in the shower floor. From the very beginning Harvey was responsive and outstanding at walking us through the process to repair the shower. The Mistival crew was timely and professional throughout. Even when we ran into challenges with having a limited amount of the original tiles, they were creative in their design to ensure the original tile was used seamlessly. Douglas was the lead on our job. He was a true professional, great attention to detail, and I truly appreciated that he walked us through what was accomplished each day and what was left to do. Just had them install flooring for me again. First time was summer 2020. Now second room ... terrific work and great team and reasonable price for pro quality work. Highly recommend. Even I had purchased stain for the shoe moulding and they advised it really wasn't going to be a good match ...but they had a can in the truck that would work perfectly ... and it does. Just all around great. Clean up and finish and removal of old carpet terrific. They also took up some carpet on stairs which had oak under the carpet. They quickly gave those stairs a light sanding and covered it with a protectant coat. Just awesome.

I've scheduled an appointment with Harvey a week in advance as I was coming to town just for a few days. Harvey came as scheduled and went over all the things I wanted done. A few days later he sent me a detailed estimate for all the work. The prices he quoted me were great! I then decided I want more work done and he came again on the same day and updated the estimate. He is a true professional and it was a pleasure communicating with him. I hope to use Mistival services in the future. I was really impressed!
