I did waste a trip just now coming at a time and day their website said they were open. They were not. Hope they can update their hours on the site. Giving five stars because I have to rate to post, but not yet feeling five stars.

My favorite local yarn shop! The friendly owner is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and offers zoom stitch sessions. Her yarn selection is fantastic, a wide array to choose from. Great friendly service

I got my first mystery box, May tea party with the cup and saucer. I love it, the yarn and goodies are perfect for me! I just pick it up today and enjoyed a cup of afternoon tea when I got home. I will definitely be visiting again. I usually buy the indie dyers on line and am excited to find a place I can purchase in person.

I'd like to preface this by saying I do love the store and the awesome stock they have. That being said. I can never figure out the store hours. They keep changing. I swear they used to be open on Sundays, then they aren't, then it's open on Sundays, then it isn't. I can't tell you how many times I tried going only to see that closed sign. And I do check before going most times and certainly when I see that sign (except this past Sunday when it was just a spur of the moment). I mean shouldn't a retail store be open on both Saturday and Sunday, so the folks who work all week (past the store's open hours) have a chance to shop too? Not everyone can come on Saturday, or on a Wednesday or Thursday - some have to work. I feel like the store is missing out on some revenue by not being open on one of the bigger shopping days of the week (for most people).

Very helpful staff, beyond helpful really and very friendly. A perfect example of why the LYS is so much better than online yarn shopping. The staff is expert -- you don't get that online but you get it at this shop. If you want to make the right decisions about yarns and patterns so that your end result is something you love, this is the place to visit. The ongoing class offerings, KALs etc are also excellent. Make sure you get on the email list so you receive notices of classes and trunk shows etc. And then there's the yarn - an extensive selection of wonderful price ranges, colors and yarn types well presented in accessible display units. All in all high marks on the key ingredients that make a great Local Yarn Shop!

This is a great local yarn shop with helpful staff, unique yarns and a wide selection of pattern ideas! They also offer classes on a rotating basis. The only downside is their limited hours. They are no longer open Sundays and although the owner states she will come in on a Sunday if you want to shop, I would not be inclined to ask for a special opening. I much prefer to go when a shop is open and therefore there us less pressure to shop.

This is hands down the best knit store! Peggy and her team are welcoming, patient, master knitters who are there to help you with any question or project need you may have, from walking about the store with you in search of the perfect yarn for a project, to sitting with you and assisting you through knitting mistakes or teaching you how to maneuver through your pattern. These ladies go above and beyond and will even help you find the right pattern for the yarn you select. Knit Locally is well stocked with whatever yarn you need (or, let's face it, with yarns you just gotta have!). Trunk shows and classes throughout the year, whatever notions and supplies you need. Top it off with open knits Wednesday evenings and weekends. You will finish your projects for sure!
