This must be a true love! I've been shopping at the flower hill location for more than 20 yrs now, and I dont remember having even ONE complaint in any shape or form. Every time I go to another Giant, I I do t feel as comfortable as I should've been at flower hill. Way to go .

""ANOTHER BLACK ATTACK""TODAY IS THE LAST DAY That I Allow Myself To Have Another Uncomfortable Experience Without Informing Upper Management/Corporate. This one star is for the pharmacy especially Tiffany! She's always professional, patient and understanding. This one star is for every associate that works self check with consistency and positive attitudes. This one star is also for every cashier. My frustration stems from each and every associate working customer service, management and loss prevention. I'm not sure if it's my attire or the fact that my frequent visits automatically allows me to fit the criteria of a theif or someone who needs to be tailed by obvious undercovers coupled with surveillance... how would I know this is the case in this particular instance?!?! Because I myself am former law enforcement (M.P.O) . For months I have been gathering the names of each associate that has blatantly disrespected me slamming my changes on the customer service desk, allowing customers to move around me in the customer service line as if I weren't standing there, eye rolls and side conversations directed toward me at my entrance and other low brow behavior. I once made daily visits seeing as though it's the closest grocery store near my residence but I am now triggered at the entrance. By all means DO YOUR JOB! If you suspect suspicious behavior in myself and/or other customers do what you need to do to secure but be professional enough not to trigger and bring discomfort to loyal customers. I am a woman and I don't take being tailed by strange men lightly especially near the Holidays. It makes me feel at risk and puts them in a position where there could be potential risks for them (please consider that) . Usually I would use other methods of conflict resolution or overlook the matter all together but at this point it's redundant. One final thought I'd like to leave you with! for every minute you spend monitoring and profiling the wrong one, the right one is grateful as hell.

The customer service representative at the self check out area was just rude and nasty. I was scanning my groceries and she just popped up and placed some squash on the scale saying she needed to weigh them there, because the other registers weren't working. She did not say excuse me . She just dropped them on the scale. When I told her she was rude she just said that she needed to use it and walked away.

not sure what’s up with the freezer section, specifically the ice creams but I have purchased ice cream bars or cones from here on three occasions the last six months and they have been re-frozen. As in the ice cream completely melted and it was frozen again, misshapen and the cone chewy and falling apart. Tonight the Oreo cones appear to have melted and the waffle cone is chewy and unraveling. Have been going to this giant for well over ten years and am super disappointed in what seems to be a store headed downhill. See photo…

Management and customer service staff could improve their social and communication skills. There’s an armed guard at a supermarket? Why? Well, MoCo and their “affordable housing” has brought down property value and increased crime. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE SHOPPING CARTS ALL OVER THE NEIGHBORHOOD! I have chosen to drive an extra couple miles to avoid this place.I hope you take this as constructive criticism.

Smells like awful seafood. Otherwise nice store. Great sales.

Everything on every shelf is good and the prices are not bad. I dig how one aisle advertises Spanish, Latin and Caribbean food, and British food. Not very well categorized and classified, a slight drawback there. But after a whole week of shopping one should know where to find anything. Most of the staff are competent and polite enough except for this one fairly new Dominican guy who is what we call a pendejo cabron.

The star rating for this store compared the actual service and quality implies corporate meddling. I am quite tired of the issues faced at this store; fresh items lacking prices (meats, breads, etc), limited supplies of certain goods(diapers!), rude staff, breaking machines, double charges, etc. After another day trying to check out for 20+ mins, with only me in the line, this is the only place to express frustrations. Nothing will happen, but maybe you'll read this and avoid the struggle. Good luck.

The shelves look like they did pre-pandemic. The prices have climbed a lot in the last 3 years. The store is clean, the employees are very friendly and professional.

Easily the best Giant in the Gaithersburg area. I was looking for a produce item that happened to be getting stocked at that moment, but it was in a box at the bottom of the employee’s cart (I didn’t get his name, but I wish I would’ve so I could thank him personally). He offered to stop stocking and find what I was looking for. I told him I’d just circle around, but when he found it, he came looking for me….all the way on the opposite side of the store…to hand it to me personally. To the guy working produce on Saturday, March 11, THANK YOU. You made this pregnant lady’s day.

It's a grocery store. There's nothing special about it. This particular location seems to love making navigating the aisles and exits more complicated than necessary. There are always an excessive number of displays in the aisles which both block the items on the shelf and create a hazard that has to be navigated. And, for some reason one of the two exits is blocked so good luck if you are in a hurry.

BEWARE if you want to use Giant app in store at this location. Since I downloaded the Giant app for better experience, all I got was unsatisfied ones when it comes to points redeemed at store. Staff has insufficient knowledge to give out service. They had to call manager twice to assist them. The second time was today. It’s the WORST experience I had with staff Jason, where he said “They are making a fuzz over $1.49” My husband almost lost it. Manager Dianne was super busy with lottery machines but tried to help us out quickly. She kept saying “They (staff) don’t know this stuff.” However, I had more questions about clipped coupons and but no one seemed to care about customers in front of them. We left the store frustrated on the first day of 2023. Staff like Jason clearly doesn’t have enough knowledge or training to provide good customer service. What he could only said was “I think you have to wait 30 mins for coupons to work” Plus, the internet connection is bad for customers to redeem points or use the app real-time in store. It’s almost like a scam at this point. I have been shopping here for almost 2 years without the app but from now on I’d rather drive further to a better locations or shop somewhere else rather than having this kind of shopping experience that I don’t feel helped or comfortable bother me. It’s not about the price for redemption, it’s about a good customer service where this big of organization should be able to offer to neighborhood customers. Disappointing…

It’s embarrassing that a big corporation like this can’t figure out how to update their holiday hours on either their website or google maps. But kudos i guess to the manager for putting up a piece of paper on the front door like it’s 1955; I don’t mind the drive and couple bucks worth of gas
