If i could give 10 stars I would. I have been going to Mrs. Sonia for a number of years, she is truly a blessing and a God send. My hair is healthy and strong. Mrs. Sonia takes her time with each client, she is an expert at doing locs. I highly recommend her to adults and children.

I take my son there when he decides to grow it long because Ms. Sonya is really great at locking and twisting hair. She’s right up there with the best I’ve ever seen do it… CHECK HER OUT, you won’t regret it.

I booked an appointment weeks in advance and the day before it, the salon canceled without any explanation or offer to reschedule. I called, emailed and texted multiple times and only received a voicemail from the owner telling me to use their app to rebook. How can I rebook when there's no available openings? No one bothered to apologize for this inconvenience. This is totally unprofessional and I won't tolerate it and I'll be taking my business elsewhere for better service.

Ms. Sonia is the absolute best at her craft. She is truly talented. I always leave her salon feeling like a new woman. She takes very good care of my hair and I love love love every single style she does with my hair. This is my go to hair salon.

Sonia has been taking care of me for about a year and her work is exceptional! I started my loc journey with her and she has taught me so much about what I need to do to maintain healthy hair. She’s very accommodating and just a great person overall. I feel very welcomed every time I enter the salon by everyone. It’s not just Sonia who nice, but everyone that works in the here. I always leave the salon satisfied. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who needs their hair done!

I decided to get starter locs and Sonia came recommended by a mutual friend. I could have gone with a local braider in Frederick, but I wanted a licensed loctitian who had been honing their craft for years. I'm very glad of my choice. She seems to know what's best to have healthy, beautiful locs. In the three times I've gone, she's been ready to start service at appointment time. And she's been pleasant in conversation. The lady who washed my hair on a busier weekend day, Ms. Grace, did a thorough job and was also nice. And clean facilities!

I have been coming to Empress Styles for a couple of years. So far it has been such a pleasure. Sonia is very knowledgeable about hair, locs, and everything it takes to maintain healthy hair. She is very professional, highly dependable, and time conscious. I rarely have to wait to get my appointment started. She is always ready when I arrive and she does an excellent job. It is great to know I can go for my appointment and be out within the allotted time! I highly recommend her!!!

I was looking for a new loctician for MONTHS. I found Empresstyles and booked the same day. The pricing, protocols and policies are clearly listed with no guess work. I arrived and the establishment is clean and the business has plenty of natural light and space. I was shampooed and each step was explained to me. Grace took me back to childhood with the shampoo experience. She explained my wash process and walked me to Sonia. I gave picture of the style I wanted and Sonia went to work. My locs look exactly how I wanted them and Sonia graciously got my hair together with ease. You can tell the ladies enjoy what they do. I was advised on future appointments and scheduling. The professionalism and soft skills blessed my day. You can find them in the same plaza as Navy Federal.
