We had an appointment to get new tires that we prepaid for last week. After arriving for the appointment, we waited 2 hours at Costco and then went back to the tire center to learn they were too backed up to change our tires today. They had our phone number but didn't even bother to call us while we wasted 2 hours waiting.

Zero stars. I come here for the tire rotation and balancing service that came with my tire purchase years ago. They are always understaffed at the front desk and seemingly in the garage as well. The wait is endless. Today I arrived a full 45 minutes before my scheduled appointment and 2 hours later, my car hasn’t moved. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE IF YOU CAN AVOID IT!

Let me preface by saying that the service guys are pretty good because it's been times where I see them walking feeling my tires with air and they would answer questions. This low review is for the customer service at the counter that I had two bad experiences. They guy is an older male possibly from Eritrea or Ethiopia. The 1st time I called and he asked to put me on hold and never again did he pick up. I called back and phone just rings. I went to the location later and recognized the voice again he allowed the phone to ring with no intent on picking up. 2nd encounter early this year 2025 I had an appointment for all four new tire change. Early morning appointment... Just me and another customer and I see the guy bring in two clip boards but he alerts the customer that his service was complete. I waited close to another hour and I said to myself something not right. So I went outside and I asked one of the guys was my truck finished because it's back in the parking lot again and he said yes sir it's been finished close to an hour. He walks in with me for my clipboard and sure enough it's there but he never said anything . I never had an argument or anything with the front desk guy he just didn't care and it shows in his work. The service tech apologized profusely I just walked out. All facts no embellishment. Called on 8/28/25 at 10:30 and the phone just rings that's an update

I have a 2019 Subaru Forester.
I always rotate tires myself. I rotated tires on my Subaru Forester 6 times in the past and never had a problem.
In February of this year, I install new tires in this Costco tire center on my Subaru Forester.
In August, I tried to rotate tires but two wheel nuts were stuck on the front left wheel and one wheel nut was stuck on the front right wheel. When I tried to unscrew them, I broke two left wheel log studs and one left front wheel log stud. I was always rotating tires myself on all my cars and never had this problem. I don't know what COSTCO tire center workers did but they did something wrong when they replaced my tires. It cost me $280 to replace 3 log studs. I will never go to this tire center again.

Just got tire service here. Excellent job!!! Feel like driving a new car ?
My car had alignment problems previously. My trust mechanic didn’t fix that, but charged me for that.
Costco mechanic even picked up my car that parked far away because I was carrying foods. Great service! Highly recommended

I promised myself years ago I’d never come back here when they installed a new tire on a good rim and left the flat one on the car. Today, coming in for a battery, it was the same level of incompetence. Abede, at the desk couldn’t even look up the battery item in the system and kept clicking the wrong vehicle info rather than asking for clarification. I found the item myself on the shelf and checked out. Spare yourself from this disaster of a storefront and go somewhere else (like Wheaton).

Brought my car in for tire repair. They finished late, so i said I'll pick it up the next day.
Came back, and they left my car unlocked all night and day!
Been going to costco for decades, this tire center needs NEW competent management.

Most unethical business model. Exploitative !!! Appointment was at 6 pm — arrived at 5:45 pm —- no one took my car for replacement of my tires even after one hour and 30 minutes of waiting. When I complained they took the car in but no one worked on it for another 30 minutes. I was not the only one —- there were others who were complaining.Finally I asked for shop supervisor —- he came out after about 15 min and his only defence was that he was under staff as if customers were supposed to provide additional staff. Deeply disappointed!! Costco management should be ashamed of themselves to say the least !

These people in the tire center are idiots. I tried calling to inquire about a tire rotation, they put me on hold for 8 minutes and when they finally pick the phone up I start talking and they tell me to “hold on hold on.” These people don’t even know how a phone works and you expect me to let them fix something on my car?

Absolute worst experience. I had an appointment at 9am to replace 1 tire under warranty. I got there at 8:50 to be first in line when they opened. The person told me it would only take an hour. Killed some time across the street for nearly 2 hours until I decided to go back and check if I missed a call from them. Another person at the desk told me it wasn’t ready yet and they were working on it, with no estimated time. I kill more time in Costco until it was officially 3 hours since I dropped off my car and I was able to get picked up and taken home to continue waiting. 5 hours pass and we call to check in–they don’t even pick up the phone. Eventually we get a hold of them and they tell us it’s done. They didn’t even call to tell us it was ready, 5 hours later. I don’t care that it took 5 hours. I’m frustrated because they told me it would take 1 hour and they didn’t have the courtesy to give any updates, or even call to let us know when it was ready. I’m also confused as to why it took them 5 hours to change 1 tire. Officially done with the Costco tire center and Costco all together.

I recently had my rims repaired, so when I brought my car here the rims were in perfect condition.
Don’t let these people work on your car. They will change your tire, ruin your rims and claim no responsibility. Absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable, there is zero accountability.
They will claim the damage was pre-existing, apparently they have the unique ability to tell the age of a given scratch.
