I've had to enlist government watchdogs on multiple occasions to get reimbursed by Capital One for improper handling of my money. Now they charged me a rebooking fee using their Travel Service even though I had paid for the ability to make changes to a trip. Looks like another complaint in the works. Probably time to move to a new bank.

Terrible customer service. The only reason I keep Capital One is for notary service, and they now do not even keep one on duty. I went to two branches and none had a notary available.

This employees in this branch are lazy and nasty.They are not there for working for clients but tend todrive them away. My husband and me were there to add another business checking account from our existing business profile m, which was opened at this branch 6 years ago. We went there because we thought it would be easy since we opened the existing accounts there, and they would have all the paperwork.When we arrived, first they criticized us that we made the appointment wrong because the appointment was set for personal account. We apologized and explained it was for adding a business account. Then they have another rule staff came and said they couldn’t do anything there before their manager was there without checking anything. Came and said they couldn’t do nothing. I don’t know what is the purpose for this branch, and what is the purpose to having employees like these two guys for. We hope they can value their customers’ time. Having someone there who is ready to help their clients is recommended for this branch.

The banking consultant was very helpful. He was 10/10 kind soul. I came in feeling like I did not know what to do and came out feeling like I was going to be a millionaire. Delicc!!!

This is not directed at this capital One. This is directed to the entire company. I have been a loyal customer with capital one since they took over Chevy chase bank. I recently had major fraud on my account not just at the bank but on PayPal etc. I went to the bank to report the fraud and they told me this investigation could take up to 90 days especially due to the amount of claims I had. So I was surprised when a week later they came back and denied my claims. When I called to have this investigation re-opened since not one time did anyone reach out to me to ask what had happened. I was told they wouldn't reopen the investigation. I then proceeded to ask for a supervisor. I was informed that they would reopen my case. However, No one has gotten back to me. I also should mention when I called to ask why my claims were denied I was told my card was used in the same area etc. etc. I proceeded to ask did you guys look at the cameras. I was told they don't rely on cameras and they did not look at them. My experience overall with this entire situation has been horrible. I wouldn't wish this on anybody. This bank is not loyal to its customers. I will be closing my account with them. I highly recommend you do not bank with this bank.

This branch used to be good but not anymore..there is hardly anyone there. They have updated the interiors and have made it look like a lounge and not a bank. I went there couple of days back and there were only 2 employees working with customers and 4 of us were checked in and no one came to help...all of us left one after the other

I just started using this branch of Capital One Bank in the Darnestown / Quince Orchard area of Gaithersdurg, Maryland. After an initial meeting with Kathren Soussi - Tanani, the bank's Branch Manager, I decided to leave CitiBank and become a new member of Capital One. I was mainly looking for a higher level of service with less fees. Kathren saw me quickly, answered all of my questions and provided outstanding customer service that went above and beyond any service I've ever experienced in the banking industry. And ... My new checking account was absolutely FREE. Since enrolling with Kathren, I've always always recieved fast and thorough service within the branch and I LOVE the Capital One app which allows me to deposit checks using my smartphone camera. Kathren is very knowledgeable and seems to take great pride in giving customers a pleasant experience. She actually helped me load the app on my phone and gave me a demo after I signed up. No need to go anywhere else. 5 Stars!! Highest recommendation!! - Christopher James

Everytime I go in for any banking need, I get stopped and they try to sell me products. It does not feel like I am going to a bank, it is like dealing with a car salesman each time.

Understaffed branch. Waited a total of an hour to have a simple question answered that they could not answer over the phone. Once they got to me they were friendly and courteous, apologizing for the wait. There were only two people actually working in the private offices. The third, a larger office, probably some kind of manager, was kicked back the entire time I was there with what appeared to be a friend, drinking coffee and laughing it up. Never checked out the line of people waiting to speak to someone. I felt sorry for the hard working employees trying their best to maintain a smile while getting no help. Ridiculous.
