“coming from someone who frequents many B&N, the rio branch is by far the BEST one in in the DMV area. Amazing service, staff is incredibly kind and very knowledgeable on books. I even had the pleasure of getting a few recommendations from a kind lady when I visited today. 5/5 experience!”
“La librairie est un véritable trésor pour les petits et les grands amateurs de livres. Le coin pour enfants avec des livres musicaux est une brillante idée. L'ambiance chaleureuse et accueillante, avec une table et chaises pour dessiner, a rendu notre visite encore plus mémorable pour mon fils. Une très bonne expérience pour toute la famille!”

4886 Boiling Brook Pkwy, Rockville“Simply one of the best used bookstores I have ever been to. The prices and selection are amazing. It's clean and organized-ish. The staff was friendly. Definitely worth a stop!”
“The best small used-and-new bookshop that I know of around here, as of April 2024 - thoughtful selections, helpful and truly pleasant ownership and staff, sections well-placed and well-organized (even the relatively obscure scholarly shelves). Pricing is more than fair (most stock is used). And it just feels good to be in there. Like old times.”
“What a treasure this place is. Was nearby and randomly searched for a record store. Has a great selection of new and used records, friendly service, and the bonus is it has one of the best offerings of manga I have seen in the area.”

It as a new owner and moved a block aways.Very friendly owner and helpful to .The stock is a bit less then the old store but it is normal due to the change of ownership just let them know what you need and they will get it for you.Just go visit them next time in the neighborhood”

12970 Middlebrook Road, Germantown“Clean & well organized, very kind staff. Much smaller than the one in Kentlands, a lot less of the more expensive ">$5" electronics, decorations, etc. that are available at their larger stores.
As with any $5Below, you get what you pay for with most items, but some are surprisingly durable & popular items that are identical (sometimes down to the brand) to much more expensive versions at other retailers. Worth a visit for the summer cushions for outdoor furniture alone! Impressed with the prints & color options every summer.”
“Dave is a gem himself, he truly enjoys sharing music and records with people. He has an extensive inventory and parking is super easy. Tons of bars and restaurants around the area, easy to make an afternoon out of it. Dave's prices are very reasonable, will be back soon for more records!”

659 Southlawn Ln, Rockville“They repaired a 100 year old bible in shambles. The binding was broken in several places, the cover was off . And my dad years ago covered the cover with gobs of tape - it was a horrible mess. But it contained writing from my grandfather who I never met (he died when my dad was eight). The team said it could be repaired and worked hard to take off all the tape and repair the original cover to like new condition. It is simply beautiful now. Sarah told me to save the cover for you will be holding the same cover that your grandfather held almost 100 years ago!. I highly recommend them - they care! It is a special treasure that is also now completely usable. THANK YOU!”
“It is a complete university in all majors and courses but they should put a map at the different entrances that shows where the areas are. I went to the bookstore 2 weeks ago but I had a hard time finding it and many people also told me the same thing so I asked Three people that I met on my pass through the streets inside the buildings of the MC university, but no one knew until I found the bookstore, they guided me where more or less and it turns out that I had parked close almost in front of the bookstore but due to lack of signs location I walked around the entire university I took a university tour.”
“I have always been a fan of Barnes and Noble, and used to patronize their old location in Rockville. The new location is clean and well stocked, with a good assortment of discount titles. The staff was very attentive and there are discounts for ordering online. In addition, they have a cafe, but Starbucks is just down the block (I didn't use their Cafe but I have a bias towards Starbucks in a good way)There is ample parking and the store is handicapped accessible.Hopefully, you'll kill some time there and find your next great summer read!”
“As a lover of vintage cookbooks, this place has rows full of them. I will say that some of the books are a tad expensive given their condition, but the selection is impressive and makes it worth it!Nothing warm or inviting about this place. If you go in knowing that, you won’t be let down. Very much basement vibes.”
