Extremely horrible customer service. I had an appointment at 12:30pm, they said car was not ready and I should come after 4pm. Called customer service and they changed my appointment to 6pm that same day, which was a close call because I had work till 5:30pm, but I agreed. Arrived at the location at 5:56, 4 minutes before my appointment time. Employee refused to give me a car because he was leaving at 6pm. Why offer me a 6pm time if it closes at 6pm, regardless of that I was still there before closing. Time change was not my fault. Employee was ver very rude, a child. I would like the manager to contact me asap.

Muddy Branch location was near my home. Office did not have the size of car that I reserved, so they upgraded me to a larger vehicle at no extra charge. Checking out the car was much faster than I expected.The workers at the office were very courteous and very helpful. Since my car was in the shop for major repairs, I did not know how long I would need the rental car. I was able to extend my rental twice via an automated phone system, which was very convenient. Checking in the vehicle at the end of the rental period was also a calm and smooth experience. I highly recommend Avis.

This rental location takes all of the parking spots of the local businesses in this shopping center. I can't wait for this location to close and move elsewhere. Judging from the other reviews, not too many people want you there. I will go out of my way to rent from companies other than Avis/Budget.

Slow backed up lines: insane wait time. it took a little over an hour to get the car.Very slow moving and uncommunicative staff: not a hello, how are you, nothing. I had to ask okay any additional charges and ask what type of car I was getting. The representative at the desk with a hood and hat on btw just slid me the paper and said initial and sign…Inaccurate gas charges applied at drop off: ai received the car on 1/4 tank and returned it a little over 1/4 tank but was charged for fuel…ridiculous. However, the customer service line is very helpful. I’m not sure that i’ll be renting from here again.

The customer care here is amazing. The front desk gentlemen his name is Dawit and he was the kindest person I seen. Had the best experience because of him. Will be back.

They Just noticed the charged my card for an additional hour. when The gave me the wrong car size at pick up after printing my contract. I had to wait for over 15 minutes to get another one. As a Preferred Customer I am disappointed ?. I was choking in the car I rented because the previous renters had smoked in the car.I brought back the car back at 10:20 am, with more 7/8 th of the tank, they gave with the car with 5/8th of the tank.I actually drove out of the parking lot at 9:53 am.Way of doing business at this location MUST be improved to keep me in business...I have been an Avis First customer since 2011. I still love Avis but some of it locations just don't the customer retention threshold.

We will not be renting a vehicle from this Avis again. We rented this vehicle yesterday evening for our trip today. Had we’d seen how dirty this car was before hand, we would’ve have taken it. Not to mention it was dirty on the outside and the windows are dirty (not pictured). We made reservations to pick up the vehicle a day or two ahead of time, with a scheduled time for pickup 30 minutes or so before it closed for the day. I was only looking for dents and scratches and didn’t notice how dirty it was on the inside. Lesson learned.

The rental experience was efficient however their business practices are a bit shady. I rented the car for 24 hours and filled the tank full 2 minutes prior to returning it. They did not give me a receipt when I checked out but I did check my credit statement and was charged $15.97 for the gas. I called and disputed and got the charge removed.

The rental car itself was terrific. However, the representative at the Avis counter leaves a lot to be desired. The man was gruff and lack customer relations skills. He was super slow with reading or entering information on the computer. I showed up at 2:05 PM to pick up a car but I didn't get to drive away till 2:45 PM. At more efficient car rental offices, all that processing should take no more than 15 minutes. I had the same long wait time when I returned and checked in my rental car. It was another 30 minutes of waiting for the old man behind the counter to process the paperwork.The men who work with the cars were fine and very accommodating. It was the one guy behind the counter who is a big problem.

This place sucks. I waited in line for 45 minutes to get a car that was covered in bird p*** and tree sap/gum and had only 3/8 of a tank of gas. Then when I returned it less than an hour late, they charged me an extra day, though they had made me late in the first place.It isn't the fault of the one person staffing the busy rental counter, which has two workstations and really should have at least two people working it. I blame the corporate office. In any case, this place is the pits.

The line to receive the car took an 1.5 hrs. The car was dirty inside. The key fob stopped working when I reached my destination. I bought a new battery for the key fob and had to Uber to the wedding I was attending. The car battery died because the alarm in the car kept going off. Luckily the hotel I stayed at had jumper cables. Avis would not refund me my expenses. At time of drop off the counter guy at the Muddy Branch Gaithersburg MD location was too busy to discuss all the car issues. I was still charged a full amount for my rental it should have been free. Disaster weekend with Avis.
