Blinded my dog with careless surgery on one of her eyes. Put non-absorbable sutures in! That is simply cruel.
She has suffered for 6 years. When I took her to a vet for second opinion, they could not believe it —very disappointed and saddened.

Horrible experience. Did not place a lens in my dogs eye 6 years ago. She has suffered for years and now she is blind. Also put non-absorbable sutures in that eye. Took her for second opinion and the other vet could not believe it. Very cruel. do not go to him. He will destroy your dogs eyes.

A great experience for both of my dogs. Dr. Smith is incredibly professional! If you are responsible he is highly skilled at handling difficult dogs.

I absolutely love Dr. Smith & his staff. They are all wonderful & helped my baby see again. We live a distance away from the clinic & they have been very helpful about getting my pups eye drops to me without having to make the 2 hour trip. I highly recommend this clinic.

My dog had the cherry eye surgery (for both eyes) on August 7th, 2023. We were charged $2600. Everything was fine until October when the left eye started to pop out again. We were able to pop it back in when it would come out. I called the office and was told there was nothing that could done until it popped out and stayed out, and just keep putting ointment on it. The beginning of November it popped out and stayed out. I called the office and was told the surgery would have to be repeated. Three months after the 1st surgery now we have to pay another $1500 to fix the left eye. Having Dr. Smith perform the surgery was a waste of time and money!

Incredible Veterinarian Eye Clinic! My sweet dog needed cataracts removed after being diagnosed with diabetes... This was a lot of work to finally get to the date that we would begin testing for my dogs cataracts to be removed. After meeting Dr. Smith I had good feelings about him and felt I could trust him in addition to his education. I really felt comfortable leaving my dog in his hands. I still prayed but I didn't have a single worry. Incredibly confident, confident and knowledgeable professional who took care of my pet so well I am really grateful. The dog has his sight back and he's doing very well seven days postop. Also got me on the surgery schedule a lot quicker than I expected we had to wait about 4 to 6 weeks which was way shorter than some of the other surgeons in the area. Best care ever hands-down! Really grateful for Dr. Smith and his team.

Excellent service by vet and staff. Let me into office to comfort my dog and watch procedure. Let us into a cancelled appointment last minute. Did not try to make money by selling me meds I had or making me return for recheck when I can go to regular vet.

Dr. Eric Smith seems very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. His staff seems on the ball and nice as well. Just expect to wait for up to a half hour after appointment time for Dr. Smith to make it into your exam room....same situation during a couple of visits. On the positive side, however, from my own experience he thoughtfully takes his time to do proper and thorough examinations, provide information, patiently answer questions, and have his diagnosis/results/recommendations carefully transcribed by his staff in real time on the exam room computer so upon checkout you can take his report with you. Although no knowledge of his skill with surgical procedures, based on the few appointments to date, he seems to be a very good veterinary ophthalmologist.

Front desk lady was very rude. I’m trying to schedule an appointment due to my dogs eye swelling and she’s laughing and making fun of me not understanding her question of whether or not my dogs on treatment already and at the fact that I love too far from their office to make a last minute cancellation slot. Very unprofessional

Dr. Smith deserves 100 stars - he is devoted to his speciality and we were very fortunate to find him. After our dog was diagnosed with secondary glaucoma and it seemed that the eye drops prescribed by a different doctor were not helping, we scheduled an appointment with Dr. Smith. Prior to our appointment Dr. Smith called us one evening to tailor a plan for our 80 pound dog who has anxiety every time he visits the vet - that initial visit could not have gone better. Though we were hesitant to put our older dog through a major surgery to have his eye removed, we felt comfortable and trusted Dr. Smith's recommendations. Our dog healed without any complications, and the recovery was better than anticipated. We were shocked to find out that a malignant tumor had been growing in our dog's eye, so are very grateful to Dr. Smith. He is a very experienced doctor, and we thank him for all that he has done from our first visit to the last when we returned to have the stitches removed! Thank you, Dr. Smith!!!

Dr Smith treated two of my pugs most their lives for pigmentary keratitis. The medication remarkably allowed them to retain their sight into their teens. We were very pleased.
