After going to several bridal hairstyle trials around DMV and hating it. I made an appointment with Dimitrius and absolutely loved my hair. I went the morning of my wedding. They were kind, friendly and attentive. My hair did not only looked beautiful but stayed intact through our photoshoot. The pictures were done outside I was sweating a LOT. My hair looked beautiful from 11am to the next morning. I will definitely be returning. If you are looking for a special occasion look this is the place.

Dimitrius did an amazing job on my haircut and coloring. We talked through what I wanted and ended up doing a purple gradient that turned out great! Reasonable prices, too!

Just wanted to let you know about my experience at HiLites in Fulton, MD. Dimitri have me a wonderful Bob hair cut. I came in anything but beautiful and left gorgeous. He really did a great job. The salon is lovely and brand new. Dimitri's sister, Maria, was there and was so very nice and has a great sense of humor. She also gave a woman a lovely cut and style. I strongly recommend a visit to HiLites, you will not be disappointed and will leave with a fabulous look.

Been coming here since ‘07. They are like family. I am so blessed and grateful for this salon. Truly lovely owner and entire family. They are very knowledgeable and skilled for color, cuts, and styling, although in all fairness consistency and meticulousness can vary like with many salons. I always come back because they take great care of me and they put up with me and that counts for A LOT in my book! They also know how to chemically process (color or otherwise) and maintain the health of the hair. Thank you Hilites!!!

Maria was incredible! She was very attentive and had a great attention to detail. She explained every step in the process and why it was crucial to do certain things. She’s a true expert in her field. And she makes you feel right at home. I wear a hijab and she was very accommodating so that I can have privacy while still getting amazing service. I will definitely be back for other services. My hair looks amazing! Thank you so much Maria! :)

For several years, I've been seeking a hair stylist with the skills to beautifully cut naturally curly hair and use a coloring procedure where the color does not fade quickly (especially in front of my ears).Maria, owner and operator of Hilites Salon fits the bill. She is a great listener and, as a consequence, undrstands what i seek in terms of style and provides me exactly what I desire. If I ask that she only cut 1" off, for example, Maria only cuts off an inch. For others, 1" is more like 2".I've tried 5 stylists in the past year, and now found Maria whom I look forward to seeing. The quality of my hair cut, and the fact that it holds its shape for 6+ weeks, is amazing. I never experienced anything like this.Besides being a bundle of energy and pleasant to talk to, Maria does great quality work at a reasonable price. If you seek a stylist in the Fulton, MD area, I recommend you give Maria at Hilites Salon a try.Gail

“Maria is the best Hair Stylist I have ever had, and I have gone to many. I know there are talented people in the world of hair, but we are very lucky to have Maria and her salon. She is a Master at hair cutting and coloring, quite literally and dedicated to her craft. I would encourage any rising hair stylist to work at her salon, I know she is looking for other hair stylists and she is a kind, hard-working person, but also very intelligent, professional and always does her best. As for me, I' am always on a budget, which makes me appreciate her excellent work and craft even more. I wanted to have a special color applied to my hair, which I put off for years, and today I went to her salon and she did an unbelievable color job on my roots, just the way I needed them done. I would encourage a person to see her and allow her to work on your hair, you won't be disappointed. Hi-Lites Hair Salon in Fulton has a brilliant stylist there, Maria and for those whom may be aspiring to get true value, as well, (I know I do,), she is the real deal. I have been to many different shops, and hair chains, like the H Cuttery, and they work for some people, but not for my hair. I have gone out of my way to see Maria, and she survived being a store owner these past couple of years and deserves your support. Unlike the previous review on this page, my first experience at HiLites Hair Salon in Fulton, MD was amazing. They offer you wine, tea, coffee, soda or water free of charge! Excellent customer service as well as one of the best hair cuts I have had done in a while. The salon prices are all listed right up front and I would believe that if you were getting a cut and money was an issue, that you would ask how much the cut would be before you went ahead and got it cut. I think overall, it was well worth the price. I got an amazing shampoo and when they condition your hair they give you a great head massage. I got my hair colored and highlighted...they used Goldwell conditioning color which is a high end professional salon color. The color was very rich and vibrant looking! I came in with a picture from a magazine of the kind of cut i wanted done and she duplicated it. I left the salon with a very stylish hair cut and amazing color that people complement me on all the time. The visit was relaxing and very comfortable. I am definitely coming back and would recommend this salon to everyone. The stylist, Maria, did an excellent job and seems to be a very experienced stylist.
