Not sure about some of these crappy reviews but I'm the real deal, a local resident of Frederick who didn't worry about price shopping for my sick pet. I called Yellow Springs last Friday morning after being in the ER the night before, Dr K called me back promptly and advised me to come in ASAP. Daisy was there all day, catheterized, given IV fluids and blood work, and diagnosed with pancreatitis. The entire staff stayed late, helped carry my 75 pound dog to my car, and Dr K called the vet at the hospital, sent records and helped navigate my dogs admission. They didn't do all of this for free, but they were efficient, compassionate and quick to help in my time of vet emergency. My sweet girl Daisy is now at home and doing great. Thank you to the entire staff for your help.

We brought our yorkie Reed in last week having just switched vets to see them for the first time. Our dog had been sick and we hadn’t had good experiences at our prior vet and we’re nervous taking him in. Although we didn’t get the news we wanted, they worked with us, made him and us feel comfortable, we’re honest and up front/helped figure out how to make choices moving forward financially and for Reed’s care. We had to sadly put him down today, but the staff are wonderful and made us comfortable during the process. I highly recommend their office for your pet’s needs?

2 visits, $700 for very little service- super friendly but a group of shysters. 1st visit $550 for a few shots and a required wellness check ( aka pure profit generator) Had to go back a week or so later ( no other short term options) and they whack me for another $150 for an antibiotic prescription. This gyp joint obviously focused on maximizing billing dollars at each and every opportunity. Don't let the fake reviews and bogus 'reputation management' ploys fool you- they will charge you up the Ying Yang for anything, everything and next to nothing that they can! Think twice, three times b4 going here!! Update- I needed an immediate refill for dogs thyroid prescription. Put order in to Chewy days after 2nd visit to Yellow Springs. Chewy called to advise the prescription approval was denied by Yellow Springs- noting 'I was no longer an active customer of theirs'-!? I called Y.S. and spoke with the clinic manager who immediately referenced the critical review when I asked about the prescription denial!! I mentioned this was completely unprofessional and more obvious that they don't truly care about my pets health, putting it in jeopardy out of spite! In a tight spot getting a refill elsewhere b4 she runs out. The Office Manager then reversed position and said the rx strength was incorrect-- I call bull****- that wasn't the reason noted to chewy on the denial! They finally agreed to approve the Rx with the understanding we would part ways- - that was my plan and honestly wish I never went here in the first place - steer clear of this 'Big Business' profit focused gyp joint! Also, she brought to my attention a few services I didn't note on this review- anal glands expressed and full spectrum blood work-- I NEVER asked for or requested Full Blood Work to be performed- just thyroid levels checked to ensure Rx strength was appropriate- SO they overcharged me for things I didn't ever request nor was this made clear to me at the visit! Pet owners beware $$$$$$ - they will likely do damage control, ghost a few 5* reviews to keep up their summary scores but note that I am not alone in complaining about their profit focused ways-- see other venue reviews...

This place will go out of it's way to charge you for EVERYTHING. I brought my cat in for a wellness check and shots, and not even a week later I get an email from this place saying she's due for something else. Why was it not done at the first visit?! They also like to push medication...My 14 year old cat has NEVER needed to be sedated for a vet visit before. Yet this place insisted she should be.... Not thrilled with my experiences here!

The doctors and staff are top shelf. Their facility is excellent too. Highly recommend them if you are on need of a veterinarian!

I took my dog in to have a lump on his leg removed and biopsied. When I went in to pick him up, he was given back to me covered in his own feces after apparently being ignored for who knows how long. We took our dog back to have his sutures removed today. When we got home, we realized two sutures were still left in his leg. We’re horribly disappointed by the treatment our dog has received from Yellow Springs and will be looking for veterinary care elsewhere.

Biggest veterinary ripoff I've ever seen $60 for a dog nail trim and my dog is a patient. Not to mention they tried to double charge me for a booster vaccine.

I LOVE YSVC!!! The front desk staff is always warm and welcoming, the Techs you can tell really LOVE your pets, and treat them like family! I'm SO glad it was recommended to me! I definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a great Vet Clinic!

i brought my cat in who was more lethargic,and not eating or drinking. the Vet and staff stayed at least an hour over closing time, did lab work and SQ fluids, and meds despite. very much appreciated.

I have nothing but great things to say about Yellow Springs and the staff! We started coming here after moving to the north side of Frederick and couldn't be happier with the care they provide to our dog. He is super nervous of vets from past experiences at other offices. Not only do they take their time with him, they have great customer service in general. I have received after hours calls from Doctors answering questions and giving me assurance (about things dog moms panic about). From the front office staff to the Doctors, they are just genuinely friendly! I appreciate this place so much and I highly recommend them!

The staff at YSVC are really great!! I should have written a review sooner to let everyone know. They are an incredibly caring group of people. I initially came to the practice for canine massages with healing touch with Jo Grigsby (who is marvelous!). When my dog became very ill with cancer I brought him to Dr. Ruppert for a consult. Although the outcome in the end was not good and my dog was euthanized I am confident that they did all they could & I highly recommend YSVC. The cancer had already metastasized. They were so amazing in their care and understanding at such a terrible time

Went here for the first time today with my dog (who isn't dog-friendly) and they were very accommodating and super sweet to my pup! They were very helpful in suggesting what my dog needed and will need in the future. I will definitely be returning!

I am a first time puppy owner and called the clinic at 7:55PM worried about my pups heartrate. The office stayed open past their normal business hours and Dr. Barnard handled Woodrow with such patience and grace. To be honest, she handled me better than the dog! She was so kind and compassionate about my worries and anxieties. I had my well-pet checkup a day and a half later. When she walked into his exam room, he hopped right up to her! The office staff is incredible with Woodrow and made me feel completely at home! Thank you to Olivia and the staff for following up about Woodrow's issues with not only JUST me, but his dad too! I really cannot speak highly enough of this practice. They sent me home with literature to help quell any anxieties I might have. Once again, thanks to the amazing staff here! They have a very happy pup and pup mom on their hands!
