“Glade Valley Animal Hospital in Walkersville, MD is an amazing facility with fantastic people. I have been coming here since before it existed, in the ‘70s when it was attached to a farmhouse and run by Dr Lynch. I have childhood memories bringing my first puppy here, and my family and I have brought all our cats and dogs to this establishment. All the people here are amazing. We recently lost our beloved family dog, Toby, to an incurable illness. The veterinarian and staff were so understanding and sympathetic; I cannot express my gratitude for their patience and care during an extremely difficult time. I would never think of taking a pet anywhere else. In my family, Glade Valley is synonymous to love and compassionate veterinary care.Thank you, to all the vets and staff; it will be a long time before we bring another dog into our life, but if it happens, Glade Valley will be the first stop. I have used them over the last 14 years for sick animals and shots and unfortunately I have had to have two dogs and two cats put to sleep over the last 4 years because of old age or something that can't be treated and they have been extremely loving and supportive during the stress of dealing with it. “Our pup, Baxter, has been seeing West Frederick for several months. They have been nothing but great to him and very helpful and responsive over phone calls to help with our concerns. Unfortunately, Baxter got sick and couldn't keep anything down - West Frederick took him in, same day, for emergency surgery and they even stayed past closing time, on a snowy night, just to make sure he got the care he needed. Five stars all around! Can't recommend their expertise and hospitality enough!”

“To say the doctors and staff here went above and beyond for our dogs risky and difficult surgery would be a major understatement. Dr Austin, Meagan, and Dessy were all incredible and we could not recommend them more highly. Also there was additional staff who held our dog the entire night to keep her calm and comfortable when she was in high risk times with severe anxiety. Our discharge alone took 4 hours and was very delicate and required half of the process to be taken to our car. I’m sure that taking operations outside into a car is not a usual procedure but it was necessary and we could not have had more appreciation for their abundance of care and concern to adapt to a difficult patient. This was a surgery we were very concerned about having done but after consultation we felt it was necessary and Dr Austin’s wealth of knowledge put us at ease. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Care Frederick!”

“We brought our yorkie Reed in last week having just switched vets to see them for the first time. Our dog had been sick and we hadn’t had good experiences at our prior vet and we’re nervous taking him in. Although we didn’t get the news we wanted, they worked with us, made him and us feel comfortable, we’re honest and up front/helped figure out how to make choices moving forward financially and for Reed’s care. We had to sadly put him down today, but the staff are wonderful and made us comfortable during the process. I highly recommend their office for your pet’s needs?”

“Before meeting Dr. Hawley and his team, I was paying THOUSANDS of $$$ on nonsense testing at a certain "country club" setting vet who could not explain the skin rash my puppy had. Since Luke was a rescue, the adoption agency had me get him neutered. I was referred to Dr. Hawley and that was the BEST day for me and my wallet! He is kind, compassionate, loves on dogs as his own (I'm sure he's the same with other animals as well, but I have a doggy) and his staff are the kindest, sweetest, most courteous group of people I have come across in a long time. They always listen to you and understand your concerns. They greet my doggy by name as soon as we walk in and have always gone the extra mile to help (let's just say, backing my 100 lbs dog into his crate with a cone on is not a one man job!!) Prospect Veterinary Clinic is over and beyond fantastic and easily the BEST OF FREDERICK AND MARYLAND.”

“I had to put my first cat down due to his health complications. It was very difficult, but they were very helpful especially the receptionist. They worked with another company to perform private cremations and keep sakes. I received a card that was hand written from the whole staff later sorry for my loss. Definitely recommend for normal vet treatment and helping put to rest your late pets”

“Im glad i found this Vet. I wasted time and $ going to the other vet i wont mention. Lets just say, i made the switch to Fred Vet because the other Vet were more into selling me their products. Heads up: the lady Vet gives you a Dog 101lesson before she actually checks on what your dog is there for. Doc Flynn is a very knowledgeable guy. I was very impress above all. I just wish they worse gloves.”

“Not sure about some of these crappy reviews but I'm the real deal, a local resident of Frederick who didn't worry about price shopping for my sick pet. I called Yellow Springs last Friday morning after being in the ER the night before, Dr K called me back promptly and advised me to come in ASAP. Daisy was there all day, catheterized, given IV fluids and blood work, and diagnosed with pancreatitis. The entire staff stayed late, helped carry my 75 pound dog to my car, and Dr K called the vet at the hospital, sent records and helped navigate my dogs admission. They didn't do all of this for free, but they were efficient, compassionate and quick to help in my time of vet emergency. My sweet girl Daisy is now at home and doing great. Thank you to the entire staff for your help.”

“This vet clinic has been great and we have been going here since 2015. We have had three dogs that have been treated here for yearly checkups, shots and other issues. The Drs and staff have been very friendly and accommodating for every situation that has come up. I even saw the staff care for a squirrel that a customer brought in that was injured in his yard. They are very caring and love all the animals. It is so refreshing to know that they want your loved ones to be healthily and safe as much as you do.”
