I suppose a late review is better than a never review ?.
Technically speaking, I made my purchases from Trail Grid Pro (TGP) back in September of 2023, but due to a failed circuit in my 2019 Tundra’s gauge cluster assembly, I had to endure 8-months of waiting while the part was replaced by the dealer.
Well, suffice it to say, I’ve finally completed installation of all the upgrades I purchased from TGP. Those included Morimoto XB headlights, taillights, the 3rd brake light over the truck bed, and the Sony XAV-9500ES plug & play bundle.
I’m reasonably competent when it comes to adding aftermarket parts and upgrades to my vehicles, but I did run into some issues, primarily with the headlights. Most of those issues stemmed from having the pigtail connector included with the headlight assemblies wired with the pins in the wrong slots of the connector harness. This caused things like blown fuses and improper DRL or turn signal/hazard light operation.
I emailed back and forth with Morimoto and TGP support (Mike at TGP mainly) to help identify the issue. Morimoto was great but TGP support really identified the issue in the connector pins being oriented to the wrong wires between the factory harness and the headlight assembly. Word of advice, if you drive a 2017-2021 with OEM LED headlights then the wires should be oriented so that black/white (ground) from the OEM turn signal harness goes to black on the headlights plug, and the other wire on the OEM harness goes to yellow on the headlights plug. TGP support helped to run this down. Massive thanks because I was running low on 10A replacement fuses.
Finally, when it came to the headunit install, that was very straightforward, but would’ve been a bit more challenging to figure out had TGP not posted such excellent installation walkthroughs on YouTube. Not to mention, TGP did all the work in building a plug & play kit that was TRULY plug & play. Install was about 45 minutes but most of that time was spent routing the Sony mic to the factory location in the overhead console. Huge thanks to TGP for shipping out the microphone mount clip - for free - nine months after I had made my original purchase.
The simple fact is that TGP’s product line up, attention to impeccable detail in their support, and dedication to ensuring their customers are satisfied, is testimony to the kind of company TGP is. They are nothing short of EXEMPLARY.
When I consider any future upgrades, if TGP has it, they will be the ones who “take my money”. Outstanding job TGP…keep it up!

My husband found a 2010 FJ Cruiser in VA Beach and decided to haul it home to Maryland as a graduation gift for me. To make sure that I had access to the best audio/visual set up in my Banana Runt yellow FJ, he handed it over to the team at Trail Grid Pro. What happened next, is the stuff of dreams and quite literally...very BADASS! Those are some of the nicest and most professional people I've ever entrusted a vehicle to. The physical space of their office is amazing. You feel as if you are walking into a very modern Tech-Spa, almost like it might be a place for designing and outfitting the interior of Air Force One or something. And they do not disappoint on that front either. You might know that FJ Cruisers can be a little "unique" as far as radio unit upgrades go. No problem! Trail Grid Pro has your back! Not only can I "Boom in my Jeep" but I have both rear and front real time video of what's in front and behind my car while driving. I have separate reverse camera function as well, all at my fingertips. Do you appreciate Apple Play and Sirius capability in your radio unit? I got that. How about an extra USB port to either charge your phone or update and sync tech upgrades to your unit? I got that also! Do you need updates on the progress of your vehicle while it's with them? You get that! And then Bryan himself sits with you to show you how to fully utilize your new set up. I mean they're people friendly, they loved my dog (I mean really loved him), and most importantly they are super competent! Head on over there and see for yourself; while you're there ask Bryan to show you his Tundra. They'll do that for you too~!

These guys are amazing! Cliff and his team knock it out of the park when it comes to customer service and product offerings for the 4Runner and Tacoma.
This is my third time ordering from them, and my experiences have been nothing but great. They offer a lot of products, from Morimoto, Kicker, Alpine, etc., but in my mind, I really love to support small businesses, so they will always have my business!

I can't stress enough about how good these guys are to work with. I'd tried to install a head unit on my own and struggled with getting it right. They helped me trouble shoot over the phone and we're very patient with me, but I was still having trouble. I arranged an appointment and they took really good care of my issues, going above and beyond what I could have ever expected. They inspected my install and found issues I didn't even know about and repaired them. I'm super happy and can't recommend them enough.

I'm very pleased with my recent purchase from Trail Grid Pro. After I placed the order it arrived four business days later.
I didn't think replacing the factory JBL speakers in my 4Runner would be much of an improvement, but I was dead wrong. I purchased the Kicker Plug and Play Bundle and the new sound is spectacular. It doesn't have more power but it does have much more depth.
When one of my factory JBL speakers blew I knew I had to replace it but I also didn't want to do it myself because I didn't know how to do it. Somehow I stumbled on to the Trail Grid Pro website during a Google search and I'm so glad I did. The speakers were pre-wired to fit the factory plugs and I was able to complete the job in about two hours. It was exactly as advertised, completely plug and play with no headaches from trying to figure out wiring.
After I ordered the speakers I noticed the Pedal Commander video and ordered one of those as well. It immediately woke up my 4Runner and delivered instant power that I didn't know it had.
I highly recommend using these guys if you have a 4Runner, Tacoma, or Tundra.

Ordered the Sony package for my 2007 Tundra, had a few questions on the wiring connections. I called they sorted me out and I had it installed in about an hour. Very good service, nice to call and talk to a human. 10/10. Don’t hesitate.

I was in the market to purchase a new radio head unit for my 2017 Tacoma. I came across Trail Grid Pro and contacted their Tech Support team about any compatibly issues with the Sony XAV-9500ES Plug & Play Bundle and my Tacoma before purchasing. I spoke to Mike who answered all of my questions and concerns, Mike walked me through the Sony head unit’s features, install procedure and how Trail Grid Pro was going to custom build, flash and tailor fit the head unit for my Tacoma before I even received it, so it would be totally a 100% plug n play install and away I go. I went ahead and purchased the Sony XAV-9500ES Plug & Play Bundle from Trail Grid Pro. Mike not only gave me a discounted price, he also reassured me that Trail Grid Pro support team would be there to help me if I ran into any problems during installation. Shortly after my purchase, Mike followed up with me via email giving me additional instructions on how to integrate my existing Anytime Backup Camera to the Sony head unit which was extremely helpful and awesome. My experience with Mike and Trail Grid Pro was seamless, effortless and I was completely satisfied. I had no hesitation in purchasing this big ticket item from Trail Grid Pro when I knew they were going to take the guess work out of the install for me by customizing the build before I even received it. And to know Trail Grid Pro support team is there for me after the sale. Bought a Sony XAV-4000 head unit for my 2023 Toyota Tacoma. Product works well and is a definite upgrade to the OEM unit. CarPlay is working excellent, switches between different phones and solves the wireless CarPlay connection problems. It also solved the known problem with 2023 Tacoma microphone buzzing and CarPlay on the OEM unit. Improved sound is a bonus. Package came all pre-wired and configured for my vehicle which made it truly plug and play. I would not have had the confidence to do the install myself until I watched the videos on the Trail Grid website. Support was excellent and product shipped as described. Only thing I might have done differently is bought the XAV-6000 for the improved screen. 4000 screen brightness can be muted at times because of the built in screen filter. Overall an excellent upgrade and easy install.

Mike, I want to thank you again for your patience with me. Yes, I was getting frustrated but with your calm reassurance and further research for my head unit, it’s working perfectly! This Sony XAV AX 8500 delliveres its promise. I learned a lot from you guys regarding appropriate HDMI cable. Yup all HDMI are not created equal. It's about quality and usage specific. Lesson learned. My Tundra SR5 Crew Max is happy.
Mike, I believe you far exceeded my expectations. Your response with my emails and phone calls were immediate as all your team. You were out of town yet you responded on the weekend. I wasn't expecting that. Each time I call your office and you are with another client, Cliff steps in to respond with my inquiry. Your team focus is immediate customer service which is somewhat rare nowadays.
Similarly, my first experience with Trail Grid Pro was in Mar 2022. Cliff assisted me with an Anytime back and front camera kit. Again customer focus and service.
Now, I am able to view videos and in addition able to hook up my Roku HDMI stick to watch pretty much everything. I’m looking forward to my granddaughters' visit from Hawaii this May so they are entertained viewing their kids educational programs including Disney channel (parked engage). YouTubeon my screen. I am enjoying my tunes from Spotify. Head unit sound and design simplicity is WOW Amazing!
Your immediate response and action is much appreciated. Trail Grid Pro’s business model and practice is sound a model for good business and in particular customer service. Your team is the best!

Took me a long time to find a head unit that I actually liked and was plug and play for my 2018 SR5 Tacoma. The Sony 8100 is awesome, easy to install and isn't obnoxiously large. The customer support from trail grid is also outstanding, I was missing the microphone adapter and before I could finishing reading their reply email they had already sent me a tracking number. The stand off from the bezel is a little wider than I thought it would be so I added a picture for anyone else curious. The video just shows that you can use an adapter for wireless android auto/carplay and I secured it with velcro.

I received an Anytime Backup and Front Camera for Christmas and had issues with the installation, all self-inflicted. Trail Grid Pro took care of me with replacement parts and a subsequent visit to their location in February of this year. Casey did a complete installation of the kit, took him about an hour, did a professional job and was great to work with. The camera is awesome. Should be standard equipment on a Tacoma TRD Sport as it is impossible to see the end of the hood. The camera makes parking so much easier and it is great to be able to see behind you all with a push of a button. I am very appreciative of staff at Trail Grid Pro (Cliff, Brian and Casey) for getting me taken care of. I highly recommend Trail Grid Pro. They take care of their customers.
