St. Vincent de Paul has helped me out over 5 years ago.
At the time, I was unemployed and facing eviction. My case manager at the time referred St. Vincent de Paul to me. I called them up, a nice gentleman actually responded and let me know that I can come to the office to talk about my situation. The next day, I showed up, he prayed with me and handed me a check to cover my rent. I was so grateful that someone actually cared about my situation without judgment.
If you are in need, please go to St. Vincent de Paul. You will not be disappointed. The staff there are very caring, will listen to you without judgment, will not laugh at you behind your back with other staff members and will see to it that you get what you need.

This is a wonderful organization. Funds come from donations, grants and thrift shops, not “the vatican” as one reviewer indicated. 90% of their funds are spent in direct service to the needy.

They have the most uncharitable people dispensing charity which is provided by the vatican ..they do not do enough for the homeless ... The homeless need more then 3 days in run down hotel like econo lodge .Frederick needs real solutions for the homeless not 3 days and back on the streets , stop wasting donated monies on toothbrushes and tooth paste when the homeless NEED outside survival gear. Like canvas tents or four season tents or donations of campers or pop ups , tarps , portable hand washing machines to wash clothes , folding outside wood stoves , portable toilets , wipes ,Propane heaters , mummy sleeping bags , zippo hand warmers which are very safe to use and cost effective ... Again real survival gear .. A cheap tent from wally world is not going to cut the mustard a homeless person cannot survive in a cheap colman tent ... They will die from exposure as has been happening to the homeless in Frederick .. And if you have mental health issues forget going to the shelter on degrange st ... St Vincent depaul needs people overseeing the dispensing of monies to make sure its getting in the hands of people in need. . i witnessed personally a grandfather and his grandson get turned away from from there saying haven't we helped you enough as I have bern told the same thingThe bible states ... If your brother asks for bread are you going to hand him a stone ?
