For starters, when i signed up for oil with them, they told me that I had to sign up for a John Deere financial account before I could buy oil from them. It's a high interest revolving account. Nobody ever told me that i could pay for the oil out of pocket at no interest. I don't know who is getting the kickbacks on that, but somebody is. If you ever need to apply to the state for help with your oil, these are not the guys to go to. They are crooked. The grant you applied for won't be applied to crippling high interest debt. Find an oil company that doesn't require you to take on a high interest account that you can't ever dig out from under with the interest they pile on. Southern states is not worth it.

Had them install a 1000 gallon in ground propane tank at my house. Everyone I dealt with was great, all my questions were answered and the install crew was very skilled. They saved me some extra money by dumping the fill dirt on my back property and the first fill was significantly discounted. They also helped my plumber determine the correct regulators for some appliances we were hooking up. Don't hesitate to call them and meet with someone who knows what they are talking about.Glad my wife was there to take these photos!

RV propane is available here. Go into the gas station and ask for them to fill it for you. Very prompt service!

Great price on refilling propane!Sometimes you have to be a little patient as they only have 1 or 2 staff... but if the wait is too long they'll call.someone from the (corporate??) Business office to walk down and help.Staff always friendly, more country-type folks and downhome good vibes!Thanks

Amazing fuel station. Better than top-tier fuel. I only go here for my diesel fuel, no where else cuts it. Propane fill and off-road diesel as well. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend Southern States Propane, Frederick, MD. Kept us updated on when they would arrive. Andrew and Mark are great. Fixed our gas fireplace at no charge. Very polite. Installed our friend's fireplace very reasonably.

I highly recommend Southern States Cooperative (Petroleum) company. We had a propane provider we weren't happy with and planned some extensive work outside and inside regarding heat and cooking. After researching the available local companies, we chose Southern States. BEST decision ever.

Charge credit card $500 with giving the oil. All so they weren't scheduled to deliver and charge til the following week.
