For years I brought my car to Shockley Honda for service and was always very pleased. Since they have been bought by Ourisman, the Service is horrible. DO NOT LET THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOUCH YOUR VEHICLE. They do not know what they are doing and they don’t seem to care. This is NOT your former Shockley service department that was trusted by Frederick area families for many years.

Surprised to see a 3% processibg fee on credit card payment. Labour charges/repair estimates are way too high compared to other shops. Will not go to this service center.

I am not one to right poor reviews, but this one has cost me a lot of money. When I went to Ourisman Honda of Frederick, I went in with a mindset that it was the best place to get the job done as it is a dealer that has the parts and knows the vehicle. Boy was I wrong.
As I needed my CV Axle’s replaced, an oil change, and some other stuff done, my Honda Ridgeline came out in worse shape than in went in. After $4,000, it made more noises, sounds, and a rougher ride than when I sent it in. Additionally, I look under my truck and I find that my heat shield protecting my exhaust, was peeled back not attached correctly.
So when I took it back, they fixed the heat shield, and they said that my strut was going as well, and that was going to have to be replaced as well, which they estimated another $3,000. They said that everything else looked “good” though. Funny enough, they never mentioned the strut needed fixed in the first estimate.
After getting home with all of the same sounds and noises coming from my truck, my grandfather recommended I check the power steering fluid, just in case. So I did and it was empty. That is negligence. I always made sure that my fluids were filled up, and sure enough it was empty after the work they did (after $4,000).
Additionally, I asked that they do an alignment and balance. After I left, the alignment was not in much better condition than before.
After putting up with the rough riding, and the sounds that came from my truck after the work I got done on it, I finally took my truck to a local Mechanic Shop, and they posted out the issues. That the strut was far gone, and should have been replaced from the beginning, and because of that, my truck needs a new alignment again. Furthermore, the CV Axils Ourisman Honda installed were not “torqued correctly”, and that they need to be fixed due to the negligence by the technicians and mechanics at Ourisman Honda of Frederick. All of this said and done, has cost me thousands more dollars, and put me farther in the hole.
As I thought I would be getting the best care of my truck at Ourisman Honda of Frederick, but what I have learned is that is FAR from the truth. When you take your vehicle to the dealership to get worked on, it will cost you more money than any other place, and after my experience, and other family members and friends experiences at Ourisman Honda, I have not heard positive outcomes or experiences had by friends and family, all while paying more money than any other local shop around.
I will not be going back to get my vehicle worked on here in the future, Norwell my friends are family members, as they have agreed that it is not worth it, and that other local shops are more trustworthy, and will do a better job.
Additionally, I will not be buying a new vehicle here, as the prices and incentives they offer are much higher with a lack of customer service and experience than the other local dealerships as well.
All in all, I am left with not much good to say about any experience I’ve had at the dealership, and unfortunately do not recommend any people looking to get worked on on their vehicle, or to purchase a vehicle at Ourisman Honda of Frederick.

Fantastic car great price I’m very happy with how the Patrick helped me out… keynotes: The get paid by the quantity of cars sold not the price of each car sold. The sales person was not pushy and was very open. When I had questions they were all answered. The whole team seems to love their job and it was cool to see that!

Limped my Ford F150 pickup into this dealership after getting a flat tire on the interstate. It was 9AM and I had to be at an appointment at 11AM. Peter Covert was the service advisor who assisted me and he did a great job. He was professional, polite and courteous. I advised him of my time crunch. He quickly got the vehicle in the shop and someone was able to plug the leak and get it back to me by 9:50. Fast and efficient work by all involved.

Update: It appears that they also sell your contact information to aftermarket warranty companies. It might just be coincidence but after taking my car here for the first time I started to receive 2-3 letters per day referencing Ourisman Honda trying to convince me to buy an additional extended car warranty. These did not show up before I took my car here for the first time and I think it's very suspicious that it also references the name of the dealership in the letters. All signs point to them selling my personal information to these scammy companies...
Service department. 2 hour wait after dropping off the car for the shuttle service, accidentally forgot to provide the cost estimate to me after I signed a copy - important later when the prices seemed to increase, minimal updates throughout the day unless I prompted, called me 11 minutes before closing to say the car was ready "come now" (I happened to already be in the waiting area). Went to pay but paperwork had wrong prices and had to be reworked, they were trying to close receptionist area as I was trying to pay and waiting for the paperwork to be corrected. And they did not provide the vehicle inspection or wheel alignment paperwork to me.
I am not sure if this was a typical experience there but it was very unpleasant and unorganized. I cannot recall a worse experience at any other service department.

My name is Lewis and I took my Acura to get some Michelin tire replacements due to defective tires that I purchased from an Acura dealership in December 2023. I was instructed to go to Honda to have those tires replaced by Michelin Customer Support. As I was getting the run around by Michelin Support, Ourismn Setvice Advisor Maurice went above and beyond to understand my predicament and struggle I was having with Michelin replacing the tires. Maurice allowed me to share his office during my conversation with the tire manufacturer but he was also very patience, understanding, professional as we're other staff that I came into contact with, particularly, the Service Director, John.
I can't say enough about the way Ourisman Honda approach and treat their customers. They were very concern3d about my wellbeing and resolution of my issue more than focusing on servicing my car or rushing me out of the door because they weren't able to assist me. Just the opposite. They were caring, patient and polite..
I will bring my vehicle back to Honda for service in the future.

Usually I would never give a 5 star to a car dealer, but I accompanied my daughter because she wanted to change her car. After a test drive of the car model she wanted, she decided to lease it. The entire experience, as much it can be from getting a new car, was unexpectedly pleasant thanks to Mr. Patrick Selby, client advisor. No pressure to sell, informed about needed to be known, open to any question and very polite. He was outstanding and considerate. Thank you Mr. Selby.

The BEST car buying experience we’ve ever had. We were in and out of the dealership with a brand new car at an amazing payment within 2 hours.
