I cannot recommend Opossum Pike Veterinary Clinic enough! Since adopting my two cats from the shelter last year, this clinic has shown nothing but exceptional care and compassion. From routine check-ups to any concerns I’ve had, the staff has always gone above and beyond to make sure both my furry friends and I are comfortable.
What really stands out is their genuine love for animals and the personalized care they provide. They take the time to explain everything clearly, and I always feel like my pets are in the best hands. I’m so grateful to have found such a dedicated team of professionals to look after my cats. Thank you, Opossum Pike Veterinary Clinic, for everything you do!

VERY Pricey now. WAS a good vet. Will not be attending this vet anymore due to hannah at the front desk. EXTREMELY rude with no customer service skills. Was really sad to hear someone so unhappy at a Vet. Bless her. Won’t be getting my money anymore.
*Edit below*
got to vet at 3:20
wasn’t seen till 3:55 after they told me I wasn’t going to be able to attend my 2:20 if I was 10-15 minutes late? No apology at all for the wait from doctor either.
doctor “Barbara Statsny” was also rude and I was verbally attacked by hannah right when i came in, saying “I’m surprised you came at all after leaving that review” (before the edit)then she followed up with “I’ll let the doctor know you left.a bad review”, Uhm, what does that mean exactly? Sounds like you’re gonna do something to my dog? Anyways I can tell they might love dogs but deff unfriendly. I will pray for these people cause god I’ve never met ruder people at a vet. The only nice people was the african american lady. Everybody else, giving dirty looks
my reply after the “owner”: my review definitely stands one star. So start off with the lie, I was not 15 minutes late to my appointment. I called saying I WOULD be late and then I rescheduled at 3:20 and you guys decided to wait 35 minutes after that with NO APOLOGY. I get it stand up for your employees, but not when you are all in the wrong. try being friendly and not so racist.

My small dog is paw shy and very squirmy and stubborn when getting his nails cut but Corinne manages him so well every time. He hates going to the vet but I think he still has a few favorites there. :)

Eeek. I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. We’ve been dealing with my cat peeing outside the litter box since late September. He was seen at ER (weekend so vet was closed) to treat UTI since there was blood in his urine. And after that round of antibiotics we went to this vet (our regular vet) to see what’s going on bc he was still peeing blood. We brought in our own sample which showed UTI was not cleared up so they gave us an antibiotic. We then did almost the whole course of that medication (day 8 of 10) and he was still peeing blood so we then brought him BACK, they did X-ray and extracted his pee and showed less white cell blood count, so we were told to finish the round of antibiotics that we were given previously (only had 2 days left.) I voiced my concern that 2 days wasn’t going to clear his infection and they said it would. They said it was mostly behavioral. We bought a cat tree, felliway collar, felliway diffusers, anxiety meds etc (have spent over $650 between vet visits, antibiotics, and home remedies to help him.) TODAY, January 14th I call again bc our cat is still peeing on us in the middle of the night and peeing all over doors and things. Receptionist said he would need his urine extracted and sent out to see if he’s resistant to antibiotics and exactly what infection he has. Just the test alone is $222. Not including the exam or extraction. I NEVER asked for a free visit. I told the receptionist I was frustrated bc we have done everything they have said and nothing has worked and they have NEVER once told us about this test and we would of gone that route if we knew… instead we were given the run around on different remedies that didn’t work even though I was telling them i know it hasn’t cleared and because of that, I feel as though we needed a discount or the price reduced. She said, and I quote “it would be a waste of my time to get a manager bc we do not give discounts.” I then call around to other vets and a vet requested my cats chart. In the chart, the receptionist LIED and wrote that I asked for a free exam… which I never did. She should of wrote that she told me it would be a waste of her time to ask a manager bc they DO NOT give discounts. This was 100% validation that this office isn’t honest if their receptionist is lying in the chart to make herself look better. She also said she “INSISTED to me” that my cat be seen… she never insisted… gave me one option to be seen for today and that’s when I said we would need the price reduced and she came back with a snarky response that it would be a waste of time to speak to a manager. I’m truly disgusted! My boy cat has been hurting since September and it’s now January and I’m now seeing another vet because this place didn’t listen to my needs and said the blood in his urine was stress related. What a JOKE!

Charged $95 for the First exam, First visit.Don't get me wrong, they were very informative and welcoming, but that price is not sustainable. They also made me put down a $88 deposit when scheduledong the appointment.

Staff are friendly yes, but that's about all. Visited for a lump on my dog's chin. After a very brief examination, I was told it is a skin tag and sent on my way. I was not given options for removal even though there is various forms of removal apparently. I don't even believe it is a skin tag honestly, it appears nothing like it!And the icing on the cake, a week later (today), I was called for an update on my pet. I said, "the lump is still there, it's not gone away." And she said and I quote, "I'll let the doctor know, thanks for calling." Are you serious?!?I will be taking my pet back to Hagerstown to our previous vet for a second opinion.

Careing loving treatment. I have used them over the last 14 years for sick animals and shots and unfortunately I have had to have two dogs and two cats put to sleep over the last 4 years because of old age or something that can't be treated and they have been extremely loving and supportive during the stress of dealing with it. Thank you Brenda sawyer & K claggett.
