Our daughter chose Morningside Inn for her wedding venue. We had an outdoor ceremony. The weather and fall colors were perfect. The setting and property is fantastic. It is way off the road, which makes for a very secluded location. The grounds were beautiful. The building, while not ornate, was simple but dignified. The staff were AMAZING. Leslie was the most amazing hostess and coordinator ever! She was very gracious and super easy to work with. The rest of the staff were also top notch. Everyone was very attentive, kind and made our families and all of our friends feel like they were the most important people in the world for the day.The staff did all the decorating for us using items we provided. They took them down and carefully packed them for us to take home at the end of the night. This was so helpful and a nice touch. The food was very good. We had a buffet dinner. They prepared plenty of every item. Everyone had plenty of opportunity to eat and visit without feeling rushed. For buffet food the quality was among the best I have had.Overall, I am super happy with the entire experience. Not only was everything such a great experience, but the value compared to the other venues we considered was far better as well.

The staff at the Morningside Inn was very accommodating and has a great selection of food. They had everything set for us so our event would run smoothly. It’s my 3rd year hosting an event here for our group and we will most definitely be back!

Every year we have our High School team Banquet, and they do a lovely job. The girls love the ice-cream bar! The staff is professional, accommodating, and very helpful.

Held our daughter's wedding here. We utilized the vendors associated with the venue. It made the wedding planning easy. Everyone was responsive and genuinely enjoyed planning the big day. Food was excellent. DJ great. Photographer very active with taking pictures. Same with videographer. Sage bakery made excellent cakes. The venue and view is simply beautiful. All involved made it a wonderful day.

My wedding was just as I envisioned it. The venue is beautiful. The food was great. The people were good! The only way to have an extraordinary but reasonably priced wedding in my opinion. Would absolutely recommend!

An absolutely beautiful venue! Came into Frederick for a wedding and was so impressed by how beautiful it was here. It’s cozy yet expansive, and the surrounding nature is the perfect backdrop. The majority of the parking is up a rather long staircase with a shorter railing, but that was the only slight negative about our visit and it had a negligible effect on our overall enjoyment. This is a perfect spot for more than just weddings, and I would definitely book an event here if we weren’t from states away. I could have stayed here and relaxed for hours just taking in the scenery. I assume the food we were provided was from in house, and that was also very good! There was an open bar for our event, too, and the drinks were poured very strong - no complaints here!

We’ve had several sports banquets at Morningside. It’s a beautiful location, reasonably priced, and it’s so nice to have the upper room for dinner and the lower for presentations

Megan and the Morningside staff were truly amazing and made all of our dreams a reality for our January wedding. My wife and I could not have asked for a more perfect experience. Morningside took care of everything for us. There were no worries or anything that we had to deal with on our special day. The venue is so beautiful. We also used their spectacular onsite flower shop and caterer. All our guests complimented on how beautiful the ceremony and reception were.

I have loved this venue since I was 15 years old. It was one of my very first jobs! I started serving here all through high school, came back sometimes in college and now I am a part-time coordinator here. This place made me fall in love with events! Morningside has everything included, chairs, linens, tables, dining ware, glassware, silverware etc. You can’t go wrong choosing Morningside!

We got married on October 22, 2022. The day was PERFECT! Our original coordinator was Dawn and there was a lack of communication for the first several months and she forgot things I told her. However, she left, and our new coordinator Megan was AMAZING! She checked in and kept us up to date on what was needed. Megan made sure everything was set up perfectly and that nothing was out of place. There was literally no issue other than I over thought our vows as our officiant, my Father in law, had me repeat after him. In other words I messed up a line, but I laughed about it then and still do now.Thank you for everything! The venue was beautiful and all our pictures turned out perfect!Edit: Also the food was amazing! I’ve been to other weddings and honestly the food at Morningside was the best!

This facility is absolutely gorgeous inside and outside. Over the years, both of our sons have enjoyed end of season cross country banquets held here during their time as high school student athletes. These always take place during the holiday season and the decor is so charming and lovely. The buffet offers a wide range of options to suit all palates and the staff have always been top notch. Also worth noting is the affordability of this dining option compared to other catering choices. Not only is Morningside Inn the best bargain, it is the highest quality and these student athletes have amazing memories here! This UHS banquet tradition began several years ago because of the superb (then) head coach, Tim Snyder, who told us Morningside Inn held a special place in his heart as it is where his wedding reception took place.

My husband and I got married at Morningside Inn in September 2022. The venue is absolutely beautiful, our pictures look like they came from a magazine, the food was delicious, the servers were quick, effective and friendly! While the venue was amazing, our coordinator, Dawn Hewitt, was rushing us around at about 8pm. Telling us we were behind schedule and needed to get downstairs while we were mingling with our guests after dinner. We went downstairs, (I guess I am to blame for this) as I was trying to hand out vendor tips mid evening after seeing how our vendors showed up for us and wanted to share my gratitude with them before the evening started to end and get crazy between dancing on the dance floor, saying goodbye to guests and us leaving. Dawn ensured us that we pay a service fee for many things; the service fee she said included the Morningside Inn staff are responsible for cleaning up/packing up our decor/centerpieces etc and we were supposed to give Dawn a phone number of who would be driving their vehicle up of the front of the venue at the end of the night for the Morningside Inn staff to load our vehicle with all of our boxes that they had loaded for us! That sounded incredible to me when searching for venues as I have been to many weddings where the wedding party has to stop partying a little early to help clean up. Well… we tipped Dawn around 8:45, for her to leave promptly after receiving her tip. We paid an extra $1,000 to have the venue for an extra hour at the end of the night… for us to no longer have a coordinator. Our event was to end at 11, we had no coordinator for the last 2+ hours of our event. The flip flops that we provided for our guests dancing feet were not placed by the dance floor, the cake knife that we provided was missing, our favors were not placed out in time for guests to receive them as they began leaving, other things were falling apart and there was no coordinator to be found. My husbands groomsmen, some of my bridesmaids, my husband, my parents and my parents-in-law all had to clean up and load boxes into our own car all while some of my bridesmaids tried to distract me so that my day wouldn’t be ruined. (Husband of the year for finding out and stepping up, trying to make sure I enjoyed myself! Of course I found out but not as soon as I would have if he hadn’t stepped up!) All in all, it was a good experience. But a wedding coordinator that walks out early from an event is a wedding coordinator I would recommend never hiring, as she turned a great experience into just a good one. Very disappointed and heartbroken that the night ended the way it did. Gail, at Morningside, was the one who informed my husband that Dawn had left, and asked my husband what she could do to step up and help. I commend her tremendously and truly appreciate her doing what she could with the information she had in such a fast moving situation!

I just got married at the Morningside Inn last week. I have zero complaints with this place! They were amazing and everything that I dreamed of and wanted! 10 days before my wedding my venue flooded and Morningside Inn took me in so last minute. They worked to accommodate all of my needs and wants. Melissa was my wedding coordinator from the Morningside Inn. She was so kind, knowledgeable, and easy going. She had a wealth of knowledge about weddings and she knew how to calm all of my fears! Thank you so much Morningside Inn!!
