Unfortunately having to give a poor rating due to lack of transparency. Recently had vehicle serviced under warranty and discovered large door dent/scratch on drivers side. To make matters worse someone tried to conceal it with a sharpie. When I picked up the vehicle in the evening, it wasn’t noticeable. I tried calling twice, left a VM, but never got a call back. I don’t jump to conclusions with things like this - could’ve happened elsewhere - except for knowing we didn’t park it anywhere else where it could have happened. The service rep I worked with was friendly and accommodating. The work I was there to have done was done well. Not keen on returning if vehicle may be mishandled and owner isn’t notified.

Good first experience at this dealership. Friendly staff that performed quality work. Prices were reasonable and fair for a Hyundai Dealership. Shuttle service to reasonable distance quite convenient. New ownership seems to be striving to improve.Second visit was also quite good . Missy was friendly service writer. Ideal did not push unneeded work . They seem to follow Hyundai recommendations. Price reasonable. Happy customer .

Thanks to my sales associate and finance officer, Roy Hassan and Dom Young, for making my car leasing process an actual pleasure. These gentlemen displayed the utmost professionalism at every level as I was considering what car to choose. They were both extremely knowledgeable and showed great patience with any questions I may have had.

Shaz was extremely helpful through the pre-purchase process of the vehicle. He was flexible with my schedule, knowledgeable on the products supplied, and thorough with the explanation of the processes.Not a shot on him as it was busy the day of purchase, would've just liked a more thorough post-purchase walkthrough, even if it was a meeting set after the first of the year.

I sat in there all day and watched my mother buy a new car in June 2023 and the car salesman by the name of Abhi Mishra sold my mother a new 2020 Hyundai Elantra very low miles. Now the car won’t start and Abhi Mishra won’t return my mother calls. That’s not good business

My recent vehicle service and repair experience with Ideal Hyundai was first class. My 2022 IONIQ5 12v converter/charger unexpectedly broke and I contacted my original dealership in Belair on Friday 12/8,. They left me high and dry saying that they couldn't work on my vehicle for ~3 weeks, as the next available service appointment was 1/2/24. When I contacted Ideal Hyundai on Monday 12/11, I spoke with the service advisor (Krystal Swanson) and she was able to arrange a diagnosis and repair of my car within a weeks time frame, as I was able to pickup my IONIQ5 on Friday 12/15. Talk about a difference in service experiences, it is needless to say I will never use xxxx Hyundai in Belair again and the service team at Ideal Hyundai of Frederick has earned my future service and maintenance needs.

Had my sonata in for a service picked car up during renovation to building was completely filthy inside and out.Repair was good to car but a few nuts and bolts were lost and not put back in place

Had my spark plugs replaced 3 weeks ago by another Hyundai dealer. Ideal service replaced them again saying all four were bad?? Service received & pricing always a bit questionable. Was thinking of purchasing new Hyundai but due to service department will purchase another vehicle

My husband and I visited this dealership today and were assisted by Mr. Shahzad Kalyar. He was so friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I appreciated that he understood our motives of coming by and did not try to pressure us into a purchase, which is what I often fear when visiting with a dealerships. He made our time there very comfortable and welcomed us back when we were ready. It’s also worth noting that I appreciate how he did not make me feel dismissed by focusing more on my husband in conversation, he payed equal attention to both of us and that meant a lot to me. When we are ready for our purchase we will certainly be returning to this dealership and asking for Mr. Kalyar.

Service departmant was great! I was in and out in 45 minutes for and oil change and they replaced my headlight. We always receive great service from Ideal and why we only service our cars there.

Be careful! Just purchased a vehicle this past June and already the vehicle is giving issues. According to dealer it is an electrical issue. They have had the car for over a week now and nothing has been resolved. It was a 2017 Hyundai Velostar. They are real quick to sell but not to assist when you need the assistance.

Terrible service shop.My Hyundai vehicle broke down on the highway and got it towed to a third-party dealership. The third-party did an engine diagnostic and noted that I needed a new engine. Hyundai told me that I could only get the engine replaced under warranty if Hyundai themselves diagnosed it as such. I had it towed again to this dealership, who charged me over $200 for a diagnostic and told me that my engine was fine. Car ended up breaking down again about 70 miles after leaving the lot. This shop either has service techs that don’t know how to do their job or service techs that will do anything to deny warranty work. Will never take my car here again and I recommend anyone else to avoid this shop.

Shop took like three months going back and forth with my insurance to even begin repairs, which the repairs themselves were done within a week. After so much waiting I was eager to pay and get my car out of there even though it was overpriced. Communication was inconsistent and I didn’t often get called back after I left voicemails asking to please return my call. When I texted questions only some were answered by the person assigned to help me. Very frustrating experience. When we spoke or when she actually texted back, she was nice, at least.
