Attempted to get a few assorted cookies from the bakery....the cookies did not appearently weigh enough to meet the minimum required weight on the check out scale so I was rudely informed by the check out assistant that I either needed to go back and get more cookies til I hit the required weight or not get the cookies all together; according to the staff there were no other options. I was not going to walk across the store to get more cookies that I did not want to eat nor pay for so I sat them aside. Now those cookies will either be thrown away as I handled them removing them from the case which is a complete waste or they will be put back which would be gross and unsanitary.
Over all unimpressed.

Nice grocery store. Has a little bit of everything. The store is clean and nicely stocked. Fried chicken and sides are very reasonably priced and tasty. Lots of close in parking. The exterior is clean and well lit. Employees are very kind and helpful.

Horrible always expired food there’s only one entrance and exit which I believe is against fire code and the prices exceed any other local grocery store. Urbana needs a new market

I have consistently had negative experiences at this grocery store. Firstly, the prices are significantly higher than any other store within a two-hour radius, which is particularly frustrating given the overall poor quality of the shopping experience. The layout is cramped, making it difficult to navigate the aisles without bumping into other customers. The parking lot is also notably small, adding to the inconvenience.
A major disappointment is the lack of fresh-cut meat, with only wet-aged steaks available at prices much higher than those for fresh meat elsewhere. The self-checkout system is particularly problematic. The machines are slow, often requiring multiple attempts to scan items, and the bagging area sensors are overly sensitive, frequently triggering unnecessary alerts. This process is far more cumbersome and time-consuming compared to other stores.
Overall, shopping here is a stressful and unsatisfactory experience. It appears that management has not addressed these numerous issues, suggesting a lack of attention to customer experience. In summary, the high prices do not reflect a quality shopping experience, and significant improvements are needed. I feel sorry for the residents of Urbana who is stuck with this as their only option for a grocery store.

Produce has really gone down in quality. Half rotted lettuce several times over the past few months. Tempted to quit shopping there altogether.

Recently, I bought 2 cans of milk and a few other items in this store. After I paid for it at the self-checkout i wanted to switch one of the milk cans. I left my bags with the store clerk at the checkout counter, letting her know I am going to get another milk can. When I came back there was a supervisor checking my bags. I told him those are mine. He asked the store clerk if I paid for it. I felt weird why he asked that question since nothing goes out without paying for it. I felt insulted, since I am not white and that's why he is asking that question. May be he would not have asked that question if I were white.I feel this place is profiling people on their color. It is unfortunate I have no choice since there is no other grocery store in this neighborhood and I have no choice if I need anything at the last minute.

While it’s true that overall prices can be higher than other places, if you shop the sales and use your reward points for products and gas it somewhat evens out. Well stocked store with lovely, fresh produce. Store employees are helpful and pleasant. In particular, I’m impressed with Nicholas whom I normally see at the self check out area. He is helpful, kind and incredibly patient. I have witnessed interactions with rude and/or impatient customers and Nicholas never loses his cool. Just solves the problem and moves on. My experience at this pharmacy has also been better than average. Two employees in particular stand out for me because of their pleasant demeanor, helpfulness and again, their extraordinary patience with customers. Shout out to Angeline Gan and Manisha Shuttlewood!

Nice, fresh selection but quite expensive. The Weiss a few miles away is cheaper.
