My cousin just left here crying & calling me because the tall younger lady with braids & black hair yelled at my cousin that she didn't need to use the coupon she had because "it's already $10 you're not getting it any cheaper". All of her coworkers looked over shocked but neither her or any of them said anything to her or apologized.
I think if you're working at a pharmacy & deal with people who potentially have depression/other metal health issues & could be suicidal they should really watch how they speak to people. Yelling is never acceptable but to do it to people who are already struggling is crazy.
I'd not recommend this pharmacy to anyone, ESPECIALLY those who are having issues mentally. And if you have coupons just know you'll be denied, or even yelled at if you're lucky!

This was my first time picking up a prescription from this pharmacy for my boyfriend. He told me his prescription was ready so when I get there, they tell me I have to wait 15 min. Which is fine, this isn’t my primary complaint. After waiting 15 minutes, a lady named Jenny called me to the counter. She has me sign, and the price of the medication appears on the screen facing me. I notice the price is higher than a good rx coupon I have says. Previously, I have always sent the coupon to my boyfriend. But last time he went he said I didn’t have to send it to him anymore since they automatically applied the coupon. Even then, i still had it pulled up on my phone. I tell the lady I have a coupon. And she proceeds to throw her hands up in the air and raise her voice saying “Well why didn’t you tell me that before????” Honestly, I was shocked and didn’t know how to react. I then continued to say, “i’m sorry i didn’t know.” then she says “well you should’ve asked.” i’m sorry… ask what? I said “how was i supposed to know the price was gonna be higher?” and she proceeds to say “you should’ve asked” and i say “how could i have known if i didn’t know the price before hand” and with the prescription sitting next to her on the counter, FACING HER, she turns it towards me and says “well you could’ve at least looked at the paper” and i told her, “i’m sorry my boyfriend mentioned to me that previously he was told he does not need to show a coupon since you guys automatically apply it” and she said “well that’s not true.” and i guess something clicked in her and she finally said “i’m sorry i shouldn’t have reacted that way” which i appreciate, but that doesn’t change the fact she spoke to me in that way. i work in healthcare and i could never speak to one of my patients in that way, no matter how hard and stressful my life may be. I can’t imagine if instead of me, this would’ve been someone who just got diagnosed with a life changing condition, they go to the pharmacy to get their medication, and they are treated this way. on top of this, this pharmacy is a very open area and she was pretty loud. all of the staff said nothing when they heard her speak to me this way.

I asked a pharmacist I was speaking to on the phone for my Medicare number and she gave it to me. I asked her not to give it out again to anyone. She said she was only giving it to me.She had no proof that I was who I said I was. I mentioned that to her and she started yelling at meDangerous and poor service at the very least.

WORST PHARMACY EVER!!! Everytime I had to get prescriptions refilled, there was ALWAYS a problem. The worst was this last time, my doctor approved a refill twice and they lost it and said my doctor didn't send it. Everyone that works in there is incompetent and lacks the ability to communicate anything clearly and accurately. One person will tell you something then another person will tell you something totally different. Don't waste your dealing with this pharmacy, they are very unprofessional. Go to CVS, they know what they're doing.

Today is yet another day I ask myself why I get my meds from this pharmacy. Their pharmacists are ok. Their staff is pretty bad. When you check on a script, the person who waits on you doesn’t greet you, doesn’t make eye contact, isn’t friendly, and treats you like how dare you want your script on the same day!? And it’s not just one of their staff—today is was Ursula but there’s a heavier-set woman who scowls all the time and just either hates her job, or hates life. And she projects that onto you when you just want your medication. It’s kinda awful. There have been instances where I’ve tried to avoid the big scowler. It’s hard. I just want my meds. I just want a smile and a greeting. I want to pick up and pay for my meds and go on my way feeling good about choosing Giant Eagle Pharmacy...but I can’t. They treat the customers so badly that you can’t. You walk away wondering why you don’t do business with CVS or Walgreens or even Walmart Pharmacy....the latter is actually likely better than this place.

I was discriminated and tortured. I never had a problem with anyone. We show respect and get respect in return. But today( 7/8/2021) was not so good. This was only the second time getting my prescription filled. I dropped the papers off but it took a day and half for them to fill. I called them and they said it was ready. They were supposed to call me. I live 40 mins away in the country so trekking the distance for them. The first time I filled it, it was 35$. Apparently the pharmaicist used their discount cardI did not know. Today they said it was 183$.! I asked the difference in then And now. If First time they took a prescription card, the second time they wouldn't. They said they don't take them. They swore up and down they don't. I do have a prescription card of my own. I called the card and it said that it is accepted there at the pharmacy for my medicine exactly as it is. It would've been only $12.06. The lady asked if there was a reason why she wasn't taking it for me. Then (Ms. Hill) said she did not want to take it for me. The lady asked her standard questions on my appearance and my behavior. Ms. Hill said other than me crying ( because they are doing this to me) I am fine and appear normal and well. That it was at her personal descrecretion to not take my card. (When they swore up and down that they do not take the prescription cards). I do have insurance by the way. She lied and was disrespectful. If it was at her personal descrecretion to not accept the card, then it why would she even try to sell to me to begin with. I have been kind. I have no idea why they did that. My doctor has been kind to help me get on a plan and I have been going through the motions and so much energy a money and time involved. I finally broke down crying because of the pain, the emotional distress, the amount of energy it takes to get help. I felt helpless. These folks here have added to my burden and for no reason. I'm at a loss for words. I am a quite person and cause no harm to anyone. I feel like I am being taking advantage of. This is an honest review and I hope it finds you well. Thank you for listening. A report has been filed on the transaction and maybe it will help other people. Have a good day even if someone else is not.

Rules are rules. They're put in place to help things flow more evenly and go quicker and more efficiently. My issue is that if you check out the entire area and make sure that you are NOT going to hold anybody up or impede guest traffic then I think that having 16 items in a 12 item self check out lane is ok. If you have 20+ items and are holding people up and are very slow at what you are doing then ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GET IN THE EXSPRESS LANE. ITS CALKED EXSPRESS FOR A REASON. i was literally in and out of the EXSPRESS check out lane in less than 4min. As I was about to pay a female employee showed me that I had 16 items in a 12 item lane. I get it. She is just doing her job. My issue is that I wasn't impeding traffic IN ANY WAY AT ALL. so next time you do you wanna tell somebody the rules say it to somebody who is actually screwing up the situation. I will return because I love giant eagle.

Every single time i go here they either "dont have my prescription" or my "insurance didnt go through". Once i went to the hospital and got tramadol and hydrocodone 325-5 (percocet 5) and they didnt want to give it to me because of the way i look. Mixed with tattoos. I go here because i live right near them and its just a hassle. Giant eagle please look into your employees at this branch because every other pharmacy i go to gives me no problem whatsoever.
