Ordered a mattress adjustable bed frame and 3pc sofa set. When the sofa set was delivered there was a tear on the arm of the chair. The delivery men contacted Tammy who was by far very arrogant and rude. She refused to check inventory for another recliner chair. It took 3 days for a call back from a general manager. I myself called 5 of their other stores. Went to the R Gavigans who is owned by the son Robert not the father. Same problem damaged set when delivered. They of course are blaming their delivery driver. No accountability at all for delivering damaged furniture. Requested a call back from Robert the owner no return call back. I should have seen the huge red flag when the salesman tried to rush us out of the store because of a dinner date that evening. Worst furniture store we have ever encountered. From every aspect of the entire organization. The only solution that is offered is a repair. From previous reviews no repairs are ever made. Please save yourself the stress. I am surprised this store is still in busines.

The service at Gavigan of Frederick MD is terrible, the staff is abusive, I have also been waiting for a table for more than two weeks and there is no response, they tell me that they don't know when it will come, a lot of irresponsibility on their part.

NEVER AGAIN!Bought two Barcaloungers and shortly thereafter a part on one of them broke. Technician came out and said a part needed to be replaced but there has been no solution as of yet. After numerous calls to Gavigans and their repair company, we were told to wait patiently that these things take time. The problem started and was reported on June 17th and it is now September. We were just told today after yet another call, that the part is now on backorder and could be 6-8 weeks longer. On top of dealing with that disappointing news, the woman we were speaking with at the repair center hung up the phone on us when we expressed our dissatisfaction. We will never buy anything again from a company that takes this long to make things right, assuming it is ever resolved. Very disappointing and it appears stronger action will be needed.

Received a broken sofa. The manager came to my home and promised a replacement. 6 months later, a new manager claimed I was lying, forcing me to prove the last manager's promise by providing copies of emails. Even after proof, refused to provide the replacement. Stated they would fix it as it was within the first year. They waited 3.5 months, to the line of the year mark, before finally fixing. Do not risk buying furniture here.

I'm trying to find a recliner that will meet my needs. All of these recliners were extremely expensive. Very disappointed.

Overall I like it...was looking for kitchen tables and chairs with the rustic look and finish..tons of choices but when you start looking at anything custom the cost skyrockets unfortunately.And yes, they are very salesy... they will keep close tabs on you ?That being said, the Liberty furniture group of tables and chairs looks like a winner...would be nice if I could find it for a little less though ? $2300 for a kitchen table and 4 chairs is getting pricey for me.

My son and I shopped at Gavigans (Frederick, MD) for a living room set for his new apartment. The selection and quality was amazing, The most important asset to our shopping day was our salesman, Eric. He was knowledgeable, personable and not pushy in the least. He pointed out features we did not notice and insight to the manufacturer, style and craftsmanship. Simply told, he’s the gem you want to assist you when choosing such purchases. I am in my sixties and purchased a lot of furniture in my time, but never had such great service! So, when you shop for furniture, go to Gavigans and by all means, find Eric. He’s amazing!

Do not buy from this company. They in no way stand behind their product. Our sectional was literally falling apart after 2 months . They have done nothing 7 months later. Blamed the delay in addressing issue on an incompetent manager , which they have fired. . The owner is very rude, cold, and uncaring.

I got 3,800 of two pieces of furniture not even a year ago they are damaged i reported it 7 months ago and no one has done anything about it. Dont waist your money on this maybe the store isn't fully in fault but they shouldn't provide bad quality furniture from vendors in this stor if no one will be held accountable. They gave me a number for a claim center i submitted in July 25 and still haven't heard anything!! Im done with waiting I will not have ugly looking furniture in a office where people come and go looking like its been there for years!! Its sad that I have to throw my heard earned money in the trash .
